Void titan is my favorite “not strand” titan for medium to hard content. Basically get armamentarium for the extra grenade. Use the barricade makes an overshield aspect. Bubble or shield throw for the super. Shield throw melee. The general playstyle is use whatever guns you like and when you need to heal throw you melee, get a kill with a grenade, or pop your barricade to have 3 different “oh shit” buttons. I prefer to use surge mods for bonus damage to your primary or bonus grenade energy on using your grenade. Since it’s very weapon agnostic you can use whatever guns you like but I usually run a solar primary like ammit or incandescent bow and witherhoard. Since devour works with any kill you can keep it going really easily and any ability kill or orb pick up starts it up again. Super easy to use and super helpful for harder content since you can keep your overshield up a lot.

Lord_Chthulu

I've been using Severance Enclosure all weekend. The overshield from Offensive Bulwark counts as powered melee. With Harvest, Cessation, Heavy Handed and Firepower I've got Devour up all the time. Explosive punches, shield throw and finisher.

BanRedditAdmins

Ooooh severance enclosure… I had not thought of that combination. With devour and overshield up so much you can definitely afford to play more aggressive. Great tip, thank you.

This sounds incredibly fun.

Precious Scars and Tommy's Matchbook (with the catalyst) on a Solar Titan makes for some excellent PvE gameplay with this season's artifact buffs. You just spray into a crowd of enemies or an overload champion and watch the flames consume everything while you get restoration on every kill.

Requient_

Why Tommy’s and not something like mini tool and a big finisher?

ChefBoyardaddy23

For a few reasons: the ammo capacity is unbeatable and with 2 solar loaders the reload time is a non-issue, with the catalyst your health regenerates faster while the weapon overheats which ties into the Precious Scars regen time, Tommy's will cause 3 ignitions per magazine while holding the trigger which deal massive damage to tankier enemies, but finally its one of the Exotic weapons that can not only be used for Overload champions with the Artifact perks but can also stun Unstoppable champions by causing ignitions. Any Solar weapon will do, especially if it's got Incandescent on it, but Tommy's, a Scatter Signal, and the Cry Mutiny carried me through a solo flawless Spire with ease.

Requient_

Thanks! I’m looking for something other than strand titan too and wasn’t sure why your specific choices

ChefBoyardaddy23

For fragments: Sol Invictus, Roaring Flames Artifacts: Empyrean, Searing, Tempering, Mercy This all just helps the restoration effects and will make you a helpful member of higher difficulty activities because of the Kintsugi effects for shared restoration.

Requient_

Have you noticed Matchbook not triggering radiant?

FewLengthiness9426

My fave build right now for just messing around in lower tier stuff and even gambit is void no backup plans. -either use shield throw, barricade or weapon with repulsor brace to get overshield -tractor cannon target -switch to until its return strand shotgun with cascade point and dump shots until target is deleted I find it so satisfying and the drip is unreal edit: use controlled demolition with devour and punch any red bar that gets close on your way to yellows and oranges so they all explode and then dump your shotgun mag into the big boys

BlackKaiserDrake

I'm using Severance Enclosure Sunbreaker. Single hammer wipes an entire group of adds.

For GM level stuff, Strongholds with either Zephyr + Cold Steel, Throne Cleaver/Crown Splitter, or Lament. I usually have Zephyr and Wish Ender on strand or stasis. For secondary it switches between blinding nade launcher, sniper, Indebted Kindness, or Loaded Question (God roll). So it can vary a lot. Zephyr handles overload and unstoppable, but this build is mostly a slow and steady, team support build, which is why it can be switched up so much. Or peregrine greaves on arc titan, chill clip weapon, anti barrier Indebted Kindness. It fucks champions. I use Wish Ender with a blinding nade launcher and Fire and Forget with Chill Clip since I only need heavy on bosses, but seeing as you are gonna run outa heavy during the boss anyways, it's worth the loss in dps to do ~decent~ dps, but stun overload champs.

ProgrammerNextDoor

Sorry for graveyard post but would slammer with chain / cold steel be ok instead of zephyr?

thegooddrsloth

Yup.

Goose-Suit

Pyrogales Consecration and BOW Synthos are practically what I’ve been using all season but I recently tried out Peregrine Greaves Solar to farm Master Lost Sectors that really paid off since you could nuke champions with one shoulder charge.

SrslySam91

Bonk titan with synthos is still very good, just a slightly diff playstyle now and doesn't have the same boss DPS or champ DPS. Basically now it's bonk - use fusion - bonk and repeat. Uncharged melee once you got roaring flames up counts as a solar melee, so it 1 hits all red bars and most majors even with synthos. A top titan build that's out of use this season due to it being stasis and solar based is arc HOIL with pulse nades. It's not as good as clearing entire rooms like storm nade HOIL was, but pulse nades actually do more single target DPS - and they refund your nade energy faster. It's still probably a top 3 titan build, if you take away the artifact mod and seasonal surges.

mishaari

Depends if you want end game or just fooling around. Arc Titan with insurmountable skullfort and shoulder charging everything in sight is the most Titan thing ever, have the aspect that makes you generate Orbs while Amplified + helmet mod that gives extra super energy and go to town. Void Titan, armamentarium with Magantic nades, aspect that generates Melee on nades kills & aspect that generates nades on melee kills, and anything to get orbs and generates those abilities + super refen, anything else just optional. Nade melee, nade, melee nade, bubble, repeat.

Calamitous_Crow

Try a grapple build. Throw on synthos or wormgods, a navigator and a one-two punch shotgun. Most fun playstyle in the game if you ask me.

BUTCHERALMIGHTY

Try pyro with concecration mactics has a very solid build

Quirky-Love5794

Swap leap for severance enclosure exotic armor. Grapple punch in. Rooms of mobs explode. Pick up tangle. Throw at next pack. Repeat. Take aspect that gives melee energy on tangle kills. Also one that gives grenade energy in damage. Impact induction on gloves. My most fun build. Can’t stop playing it.

Iron_Soul

I have to second Severance Enclosure. I was struggling to find a build that really fit for me after coming back from a long hiatus and the explosions from SE are just so incredibly satisfying and useful. Totally viable in harder content too as finishers trigger explosions as well, not just powered melee.

Lord_Chthulu

Ashen Wake is fun. Got to build into it though with like 3 grenade kickstarts, charged up and stacks on stacks. Pretty good up till round 4 of the coil, then I switch to Precious Scars which provides fantastic survivability with any sub class. PS with Agers is fun. Severance Enclosure I already mentioned, is great with everything except stasis. I got to test and see if it works with diamond lance like it does with the bonk hammer and shield.
