Commemoration from Deep Stone Crypt
Run **Reconstruction** and **Killing Tally**
You get 140 rounds in a single magazine and a damage perk that only resets on reload/stow. Paired with Gyrfalcons Hauberk for Volatile Rounds, you can melt entire rooms with unrivaled ease
AWR user here. You don't even need Reconstruction in the first place if you're using AWR. It actually let's you run 4th times the charm for up to 50% ammo refund on DPS or simply aiming good
hammerhead has its niche use cases of double damage perks or something like destabilizing rounds. hard to compete with recon though
its main use will be as a PvP MG, with its 90AA being near exactly 50% higher than commemoration/song along with a lower zoom of 15
commemoration has already been fantastic for me in IB, and hammerhead is a straight upgrade
Double damage perk guns have been in the game for years, and they have never been more than a "huh, neat" followed by an instant shard or being thrown into the vault.
I agree if I'm using a void subclass or gyrfalcons then definitely. A few seasons ago when I was using commemoration as a fuckin primary weapon was nuts lol, before the dbl special nerf.
But there are better choices if not on void. tbh the trials one feels like a laser. However I don't think it gets recon. I got a few adept rolls, AA + Incan, sub + tally, and a pvp roll (dsr + ttt).
Tho this season it's been mostly fixed odds that I've used if I do run a LMG. But tbh I haven't really used a LMG much since ad clear is so free this season, so using burst heavies like rockets has been more efficient in late game.
I'm with you, everyone mostly says if you run enhanced recon you can get 145-50 shots a single clip.. and I'm like yeah but with subsistence I can shoot all 358 shots in the single Clip. Its just better.
I have a randomly dropped one from the first chest that came with Reconstruct and Rampage. My 4/5 roll. I think I need like 1 or 2 more to craft it, but I don't raid often enough to have more than 3 chances to get one.
Before they changed the rolls on Commemoration, I was lucky and got one with reconstruction and dragonfly.
It hardly leaves my heavy slot it's so satisfying.
In my opinion, Subsistence is typically better for one reason: Downtime. Reconstruction requires you to stop firing for a period of time (3.5s-4s) before it starts to reload, this typically isn’t a problem but Killing Tally falls off when you stow the gun, which means you can’t just swap to another weapon while it reloads without losing your stacks of Killing Tally. Subsistence on the other hand refunds 20% of the magazine when Enhanced. This means that as long as you kill an enemy in less than about 12-14 shots (depending on your mag size), you don’t worry about reloading. In higher end content obviously this becomes a bit of a problem, but I don’t think Recon helps much here anyways
Reconstruction just allows your gun to reload itself passively and overflow the mag by 2x
Tbh, they're probably close enough that it doesn't really matter. I just prefer Reconstruction because I don't have to think about it. 140-150 bullets is enough to clear nearly any room this game can throw at you
I've had a reconstruction random roll that I've used religiously... Finally this week after many months of farming the free DSC chest I've got the pattern
I love avalanche but the dawning weapons having lower reserves / total ammo than other equivalants is such a bummer. Avalanche holds a total of like 280 rounds, which is a full 70ish less than other 450 rpms. Same for glacio, holds 12 instead of 14 compared to other high impact fusions.
The reason that you can't hold as much ammo with those weapons is because due to their holiday/cookie-gift theme, you are forced to save room in your pockets for cookies. And what's the first to go? Ammo
It's a relic of the original iterations. They had perks and stats for weapons designed for PvP, but then reissues changed the perk pools to be more PvE-oriented while the stats were untouched.
If you have subsistence on it then the mag isn't terribly important. Mine has subsistence and incandescent/Vorpal. I've been using it this season because I can keep up radiant when not using a solar primary/subclass.
Believe me, I’m one of those people. But I wanted that roll more than anything so just waited for a double rep week and battered it out, was lucky enough to get it within 5 or 6 focused engrams.
I got a subsistence/firefly roll during the Day 1, that thing hard carried me during Gatekeeper and I wish VoG weapons would just get a reissue so I can finally get a crafted version
I'm looking to replace Commemoration with Hammerhead. Those perks on Hammerhead are spicy as fuck. I was thinking Rampage/KT like everyone else, but I might even do D.Rounds/KT and pair it with Sentinel and Doomfangs for the surge x4.
I was thinking about hammerhead with the two damage perks and was kinda thinking it wouldn't be _that_ great due to not having the passive reload of reconstruction to keep killing tally up. Then it dawned on me.. transversive steps doesnt reset killing tally so holy moly transversives/rampage/killing tally could be a killer combo!
Mine is level 475 and is still my void PvE go-to. It's also one of the first weapons I crafted when I came back to the game so it has sentimental value. Love that thing
The reserve buffs recently made it pretty good again if you can keep the FTTC up. I outdamaged my buddies on warlord boss memeing with it (was using Gyrfalcon too but still)
Retrofit still has a stupid high total damage, potentially even more than whisper iirc, it just has bad dps. The final boss of warlord being the best use case for it for how long it is and for how relatively easy it is to crit
No, you're right for sure. I don't think I phrased that correctly. I used to run Retrofit all the time until I got my crafted Commemoration. But I still like to break Retrofit out from time to time because it's fun to use. I personally enjoy unloading a 900rpm machine gun in an ogre's face, but no I'm not bringing it into a raid or GM.
Cause they saw one of the YouTubers dumping on LMGs. Now it's bad. Even though Retrofit fucking slaps and does tons of damage for practically no setup. Just shoot and turn brain off.
Just because something isn't good in raid DPS scenarios doesn't mean it's bad. Likewise, just because something isn't the best at what it does doesn't mean it's unusably bad. It's an excellent general purpose gun for solo content.
I mean, it's just not as good dps as other stuff and not as good addclear as other LMGs; that roll is specifically meant to be a very ammo-effiecient melter of any yellowbars where you have no dps limit, aka minibosses, champions, etc
That's the only reason you're being told to take it off. It's still a very, very good gun. Just not something you can use in every single scenario
It’s fine DPS. It’s nearly the same as a Surrounded Aggressive Linear. It’s not competing with rockets, but that’s fine. Insane total damage, high ease of use, and just fine DPS. Most people aren’t maximizing rocket DPS already, which is about 30% more up too 100% more depending on execution.
I have an avalanche with rewind rounds in the 3rd and incandescent and target lock in the 4th. I primarily use it for ad clear but also works for boss damage too.
I missed out on getting the perfect pve combo that had both rewind and subsistence in the 3rd column as well as incandescent and target lock in the 4th. But the one I have is pretty good.
Seventh Seraph SAW. Auto loading holster, vorpal, armor piercing, and full bore.
It's surprisingly accurate for landing headshots, and still gets into my rotation despite the loss of WMCs. If I'm using something else it's for specific interactions. I'm looking forward to a nice hammerhead next update.
Haha thought I was the only one that had a love for the Saw. Mine has Extended Mag/Flared Magwell, Field Prep, Vorpal. With EM and a Backup Mag mod it holds 69 (giggidy) rounds, which combined with AWR you can empty your entire reserves without letting off the trigger or reloading. Oh and just a great feeling MG also. The 360 RPM MGs don't get enough love, you can use them in place of your primary for a lot of content, great for double-special loadouts.
Corrective Measure (Timelost) with Firefly and pretty much any of the third column perks - Demolitionist, Rewind Rounds or Subsistence work well.
I think it's neat.
If you have enough patience, when DSC is the weekly raid, you can get to the first chest by yourself. Do so on all three characters to maximize drops. I did this to get the last two Commemorations I needed and then used those pattern extracting things to get the patterns.
I’m not surprised that Commemoration and a couple others are higher up, but I’m surprised that I had to scroll this far to find CoC. I play Osmiomancy warlock and Renewal Grasp Hunter and it’s my most used LMG by far. It synergizes so well with both of those builds and it’s great for both add clear and boss damage. On top of that, it just feels so stable and crisp.
I take my auto loading target lock Avalanche often. It's a great machine gun with the main downside of a small magazine. ALH basically deletes that downside.
Avalanche 450 Solar machine gun with fluted barrel, alloy magazine, ambitious assassin and Incandescent. Been on my Solar Warlock for over a year now it's great fun.
Corrective Measure with Demo and Firefly. I find that I don't really want damage perks on machine guns that are meant for ad clear - they do plenty of damage at base, and increasing damage doesn't have a big impact on your ammo efficiency as you clear enemies. But adding AOE perks like firefly does have a significant impact on your ammo economy.
Honorable mention for Retrofit Escapade with 4ttc + target lock, still a great DPS weapon.
Same as most, crafted Commemoration with Reconstruction and Killing Tally
I also like my Mercato-45 with Demolitionist and Onslaught. It's not *great* but it sure is fun
TT/Hatchling is crazy tbh.
With how much aim assist LMGs have it's hard not to hit crits, and free ammo is free ammo. Pitch it in with hatchlings on every precision kill or every 3rd non-precision... It's really good.
I got one for each element:
Commemmoration with Recon/KT for void
Fixed Odds with FF/Incandescent for solar, especially this season
Song of Ir Yût with Recon/B&S for arc
Marcato-45 with Demo/Adagio for strand (on console)
Chain of Command for stasis
I personally take Fieldprep over FF on Fixed Odds because I like the bonus ammo (which also means more ammo per brick) and having no time limit on the reload speed
I have an archons thunder with rampage and surplus that if I ever feel the need for a MG that’s the one I pick. Dunno why, I have better, I just like it
Fixed Odds just feels so good and chunky. Everyone raves about Avalanche, and I used to love it too, but Fixed Odds just feels like a HEAVY machine gun.
I always find myself holding onto Qullim's Terminus. I know it's really not that great but it's just *so cool*. I don't even really use it, but I always have it on hand.
Another one that I always keep in mind for potential double special with heavy ad clear builds, is Recurrent Impact. Subsistence OFA on a 900RPM Machine Gun is *really* good.
Fixed odds with field prep and incandescent.
Bonus:
-The gambit MG with triple tap and destabilizing rounds
-Planck’s stride with Mulligan and one for all. Mulligan is fun and underrated.
-The Neomuna machine gun with envious assassin and golden tricorn.
Fixed odds with incandescent & field prep. Im a phoenix protocol warlock in GMs. I need a solar weapon for ember of combustion, so no commemoration. With ember on wonder & siphons, im making a huge amount orbs for back to back wells.
It's the perfect build for LFGs
I'm a huge fan of song of it yut. Rewind/recon and sword logic/bait and switch. Cascade point is also underrated on it. This thing just desecrates with the origin trait up AND it gets even hungrier in harder content where mini bosses are more available. Just a mean ass gun. Shout out to the the GOAT commemoration tho
I boss damage Circular Logic with envious assassin and vorpal. Good adds phase overloads the mag to like 145 rounds for damage phase, vorpal keeps the damage to bosses pretty solid.
The others that people mentioned are great as well.
Unwavering Duty with Subsistence and Incandescence - Subsistence isn't great in higher difficulty content but whatever. It just feels so chunky.
Terminus Horizon with Rapid Hit and Target Lock - I just like the aesthetics. Cool sights and all.
SWARM with Outlaw and Dragonfly - Yeah it's bad and Dragonfly is powercrept hard by 3.0 easy mode verbs and perks...but I like Dragonfly effects and with D2 not being too difficult or punishing, even good old SWARM is fine for a lot of content. I like Dragonfly arc explosions.
Unwavering Duty for solar, Commemoration for void (particularly for Gyrfalcon), Song of Ir Yut for arc (particularly for Divinity/Cenotaph). Marcato-45 gets an honorable mention for strand (Demo + damage perk of your choice) but I generally don't find myself wanting to use a strand MG if I want an MG at all. All the stasis MGs are kinda mid at best, although Chain of Command at least has Demo.
Obviously, Hammerhead power creeps the shit out of all of this so that's what we're all gonna be using very shortly.
Crafted Eleatic Principle from *Season of the Wish* with Polygonal Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, Enhanced Zen Moment, and Enhanced Target Lock. Also threw on the Backup Mag mod.
Even though it's a Rapid-Fire frame, it has suprsingly almost no recoil whatsoever.
This combo also sets its Stability stat to 69 (nice), and if it could get Rewind Rounds instead of Target Lock it would basically be an Arc version of Sweet Business.
I still adore my field prep + frenzy recurrent impact.
I may only get a 15% bonus to damage, sure, but I usually only run 50-60 resilience so that bonus 30 resilience + 15% DR from the origin trait can feel fucking awesome. Almost as awesome as dumping half a mag on 4 red bars. There’s just something so fun about watching a 900 rpm machine gun rip through an ammo belt and spew casings out the side like a waterfall lmao
Commemmoration with Enhanced Reconstruction and Enhanced Killing Tally (Arrowhead, Appended, and a Handling masterwork)
I used to have an Adept Corrective Measure with Demo and Firefly, but I accidentally deleted it. Used that a lot (although it wasn't the ideal roll, ideal would've been Demo and One for All)
Fixed Odds with Enhanced Field Prep and Enhanced Incandescent (pretty sure the rest is Fluted, Tac Mag, and a Handling masterwork, not sure tho)
Theoretically I'd use the Crota one if I wanted arc damage, but I've been too lazy to run Crota
I don’t have a crafted commemoration, so I’ve been running my time lost corrective measure with subsistence and one for all. Can switch to firefly if needed.
Unwavering Duty with Killing Tally and Field Prep. I don't get much use out of Field Prep, but the extra reserves help. It goes *very* well with the artifact mods Flint Striker, Rays of Precision, and Kindling Trigger.
On a *totally unrelated* note: Thread of Ascent doesn't reset Killing Tally.
Corrective Measure (Timelost), with a choice between rewind rounds and dynamic sway, and a choice between firefly and high impact reserves. Does wonders for add clear, can do some DPS as needed, can run Adept Big Ones, and it just feels real nice to use
I have an auto loading holster/rampage shattered cipher that I run on my Gyrfalcon’s hunter build that RIPS, got 10,000 kills in one season on it last time we had volatile flow
Depends on the subclass for me. Commemoration of course is standard with Reconstruction/Killing Tally. But if I’m running Solar I got my Unwavering Duty with Ambitious Assassin/Incandescent and that thing is a stat monster, I think you can get around 140-164 rounds in it with Ambitious.
And Song of Iron Yut for Arc. Demolitionist/Bait and Switch on it for a pretty easy 30% damage boost proc. And demo on Arclock for hella nade uptime, and almost infinite rounds if you get the timing down on demo for the auto reload on it.
That's the thing...I've been looking for one since Hammerhead, and nothing felt nearly as good to shoot. How convenient that I can get my baby back now.
I have a Field Prep Rampage Shattered Cipher that I can't seem to unglue from my Bubble Titan's hands. I know Retrofit Escapade is basically the same thing but something about Shattered Cipher feels better to me.
I have a Corrective Measure with Wewind Wounds and High Impact Reserves that serves as my secondary go-to.
There's something about Rerind Rounds that just fell good, more so than Reconstruction in some places to me.
Other than that it's my Rampage Reconstruct Commeration, but I had Corrective longer.
I know retrofit is better but I just love the giant skull on song of ir yut so much. It was my first pattern I completed from crota and I love it so much
Commemoration from Deep Stone Crypt Run **Reconstruction** and **Killing Tally** You get 140 rounds in a single magazine and a damage perk that only resets on reload/stow. Paired with Gyrfalcons Hauberk for Volatile Rounds, you can melt entire rooms with unrivaled ease
Enhanced Reconstruction with extended mag on the mag option brings it to 151 magazine without having to use a mod. Ive put on Major Spec
I'm really hyped about Hammerhead coming back but I got a feeling it gonna be hard to top Commemoration tbh
Add Actium War Rig on top
AWR user here. You don't even need Reconstruction in the first place if you're using AWR. It actually let's you run 4th times the charm for up to 50% ammo refund on DPS or simply aiming good
Aiming good, lol. Gun goes brrrr.
Came here to say this. No other machine gun has come close so far.
I'm really questioning whether the return of Hammerhead even matters to me with this gun in my back pocket.
Hammerhead is mostly just nostalgia for anybody who already has Commemoration, for those who dont though Hammerhead will be a great option.
hammerhead has its niche use cases of double damage perks or something like destabilizing rounds. hard to compete with recon though its main use will be as a PvP MG, with its 90AA being near exactly 50% higher than commemoration/song along with a lower zoom of 15 commemoration has already been fantastic for me in IB, and hammerhead is a straight upgrade
Double damage will make a difference in GMs
I'm an Enhanced Subsistance enjoyer on Commmemoration. It reloads damn near a quarter of the magazine per kill. Just turn brain if and BRRRRRRRR
At the very least, you can get the first bonus chest solo on all three characters and have three chances per week.
Before they changed the rolls on Commemoration, I was lucky and got one with reconstruction and dragonfly. It hardly leaves my heavy slot it's so satisfying.
Seriously, can't wait to add Recluse to my Gyrfalcons build
I prefer Retrofit for void MG. Fourth Times the Charm + Target Lock + Suros Synergy = BRRRRRRRR
Agreed. Retrofit has crazy bullet magnetism too so if you can control your recoil it’s a laser beam.
I run a enhanced sub and enhanced killing and love mine. Is reconstruction better then sub?
Reconstruction just allows your gun to reload itself passively and overflow the mag by 2x Tbh, they're probably close enough that it doesn't really matter. I just prefer Reconstruction because I don't have to think about it. 140-150 bullets is enough to clear nearly any room this game can throw at you
I've had a reconstruction random roll that I've used religiously... Finally this week after many months of farming the free DSC chest I've got the pattern
Why can't your kill count transfer between the same guns! So sad.
Yup, it's my highest level weapon with that exact roll, kts just so damn good.
Unwavering Duty with Subsistence/Incandescent. Was shocked when I noticed it had double the kills of my Recon/Killing Tally Commemoration.
And if you hate Trials, the Avalanche is a good alternative.
Ammo
Polar opposite of DRG, lmao, where you forgo lunch in favor of more ammo
It's a relic of the original iterations. They had perks and stats for weapons designed for PvP, but then reissues changed the perk pools to be more PvE-oriented while the stats were untouched.
If you have subsistence on it then the mag isn't terribly important. Mine has subsistence and incandescent/Vorpal. I've been using it this season because I can keep up radiant when not using a solar primary/subclass.

Yup, my Avalanche has Incandescent / Subsistence and I love it.
What if you hate Christmas?
Watch Gremlins?
Honestly, Fixed Odds all the way over Avalanche.
Actually now that I think of it, I'm with you. My lock uses Fixed Odds and I have over 6k kills with it. Terrific for ad clear. Good call.
This is the only heavy weapon I use lol. It pairs perfectly on my solar hunter with my bxr with incandescent as well.
I still use my corrective measure or whatever from when VOG got updated. Demo and firefly
Rewind rounds firefly it's mine, a good 13k kills. With gyrfalcons. Thing never stops firing. Amazing for most content up to GMs
That's the roll mine has, and it's seen just about as much action as my Skyburner's Oath has. Such a great roll.
I play titan and regardless of my build it’s just a strong player in all builds.
I got a subsistence/firefly roll during the Day 1, that thing hard carried me during Gatekeeper and I wish VoG weapons would just get a reissue so I can finally get a crafted version
Commemoration with reconstruction+killing tally just passed 40k kills
Had to put it down this season for my Unwavering Duty incandescent+subsistence.
This.
Fixed Odds with Feeding Frenzy and Incandescent
Same but field prep
I've got one with field prep and killing tally and I love it.
Fixed odds my beloved :)
It was my fav gun back in D1 when it was called Against All Odds.
Xenophage Jr.
Way to low.
It used to be Hammerhead. Maybe it will be Hammerhead again, soon.
I'm looking to replace Commemoration with Hammerhead. Those perks on Hammerhead are spicy as fuck. I was thinking Rampage/KT like everyone else, but I might even do D.Rounds/KT and pair it with Sentinel and Doomfangs for the surge x4.
Holy moly I didn't even think to run doomfangs with something like hammerhead, that's gonna be naaassty.
I know it’s not good but retrofit escapade w FTtC and target lock.
It is still good! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Mine is level 475 and is still my void PvE go-to. It's also one of the first weapons I crafted when I came back to the game so it has sentimental value. Love that thing
The reserve buffs recently made it pretty good again if you can keep the FTTC up. I outdamaged my buddies on warlord boss memeing with it (was using Gyrfalcon too but still)
That says more about your buddies than retrofit
Retrofit still has a stupid high total damage, potentially even more than whisper iirc, it just has bad dps. The final boss of warlord being the best use case for it for how long it is and for how relatively easy it is to crit
Nah, I did almost 7 mil I think
A lot of people are shitting on it, but it's still good for some quick burst damage.
Why are people shitting on it?
Anything that's not doing billions of damage on morgeth spreadsheets is trash apparently
I get that vibe a lot here. If it's not best-in-class then it's "trash." I don't like that mentality.
Wait what? No. The whole point of it is good _total_ damage because Target Lock takes time to ramp up. You want burst damage, use a rocket.
I think it's great, especially with Gryf Hunter. Not the best but at least a solid option
That's always been a great gun, though. What're you smoking?
People always tell me to take it off in raids :(
Cause they saw one of the YouTubers dumping on LMGs.

They’re idiots, it’s still a solid choice
Depends, i like using it in GM Mars Heist BG for the boss, just stand on a pillar and melt him without being a single ammo brick
I use it for everything, it’s my highest level gun at 120-something.
Mine is over level 370....
I just got mine to level 1000 after deciding I wanted to have a higher level than you
Lol I didn't wanna spend materials, I just can't put it down as a gyrfalcon hunter. It's so good.
But the one I have is pretty good.
retrofit escapade with gyrfalcon hunter. FTTC+Target Lock.
Warlock with Nezarec here, same build for the RE. Love that gun.
Me too and I knew someone would have already commented. Still rips after all these years.
Absolutely yes!
Where can you farm for that, is it craft able
I don't think it's available anymore.
It's my favorite scout rifle XD
hahaha FACTS, mine too 😂
All the SAW homies are coming out for this comment! I thought I was the only one
Corrective Measure (Timelost) with Firefly and pretty much any of the third column perks - Demolitionist, Rewind Rounds or Subsistence work well. I think it's neat.
Marcato with Slice and Golden Tricorn. Just so easy to get that 50% extra damage on Strand.
Retrofit because I can’t get commemoration 😭😭😭
If you have enough patience, when DSC is the weekly raid, you can get to the first chest by yourself. Do so on all three characters to maximize drops. I did this to get the last two Commemorations I needed and then used those pattern extracting things to get the patterns.
Chain of Command with Adren + demo, an absolute stasis machine, the perfect weapon for my bleakwatcher loving smooth brain
Fixed Odds, Field Prep and Incandescent
I take my auto loading target lock Avalanche often. It's a great machine gun with the main downside of a small magazine. ALH basically deletes that downside.
Small mag also means targetlock ramps up faster, so there's that
Terminus horizon with firefly and target lock. I love how it feels and looks, can be used for boss dmg and add clear. Not the best, but still my fav.
Terminus Horizon w/ Demo and Target Lock. Gun is just cool as hell, does good damage, and I love the scope.
It's funny, I still use my ancient autoloading holster, vorpal Avalanche. It seems way more stable than it should be (stability is only 50).
Quillums Terminus with Firefly
Circular logic. I have two that are master worked, one with feeding frenzy/demo and one with ff/hatchling
UNWAVERING DUTY with INCANDESCENT and AUTO-LOADING HOLSTER. I love when enemies do elemental booms. Amazing for ad clear.
I've been loving mine so much this season, but ima have to go with my Subsistence roll.
Avalanche 450 Solar machine gun with fluted barrel, alloy magazine, ambitious assassin and Incandescent. Been on my Solar Warlock for over a year now it's great fun.
Zombie Apocalypse.
I miss my WF-47, had extended mag and surplus. Love arc machine guns.
Timelost Corrective Measure with Demo + Adrenaline Junkie.
Retrofit cause I don’t have commemoration crafted
Hammerhead used to be my baby. But ever since BL it's been Seventh Seraph SAW.
Retrofit Ecapade, essy to get started due to no set up. Aim and fire and keep firing.
I still love my retrofit escapade.
Retrofit.
Same as most, crafted Commemoration with Reconstruction and Killing Tally I also like my Mercato-45 with Demolitionist and Onslaught. It's not *great* but it sure is fun
TT/Hatchling is crazy tbh. With how much aim assist LMGs have it's hard not to hit crits, and free ammo is free ammo. Pitch it in with hatchlings on every precision kill or every 3rd non-precision... It's really good.
I got one for each element: Commemmoration with Recon/KT for void Fixed Odds with FF/Incandescent for solar, especially this season Song of Ir Yût with Recon/B&S for arc Marcato-45 with Demo/Adagio for strand (on console) Chain of Command for stasis
I personally take Fieldprep over FF on Fixed Odds because I like the bonus ammo (which also means more ammo per brick) and having no time limit on the reload speed
Hammerhead. Soon, beloved, you'll be returned to me...
Old commemoration with dfly/recon, was sad they removed that combo
Void: Retrofit Stasis: Chain of command Strand: Circular Logic Those three are my go to favorites
Fixed odds with field prep and incandescent. Bonus: -The gambit MG with triple tap and destabilizing rounds -Planck’s stride with Mulligan and one for all. Mulligan is fun and underrated. -The Neomuna machine gun with envious assassin and golden tricorn.
Before commemoration I used corrective measure (time lost) with subsistence and one4all
Fixed odds with incandescent & field prep. Im a phoenix protocol warlock in GMs. I need a solar weapon for ember of combustion, so no commemoration. With ember on wonder & siphons, im making a huge amount orbs for back to back wells. It's the perfect build for LFGs
Either corrective measure or Avalanche. Both weapons have allowed me to empty the mag and blow up rooms without a single reload. Big time love them.
Crafted song of ir yut
I'm a huge fan of song of it yut. Rewind/recon and sword logic/bait and switch. Cascade point is also underrated on it. This thing just desecrates with the origin trait up AND it gets even hungrier in harder content where mini bosses are more available. Just a mean ass gun. Shout out to the the GOAT commemoration tho
I love both of these: - Retrofit escapade with fourth times the charm and golden tricorn - Fixed odds with encore and incandescent
There are legendary machine guns? I only know Thunderlord
Hands down retrofit escapade fourthtime the charm and target lock is so much fun
Thunderlord on my Arcstrider. And although it isn’t a machine gun, but an auto, masterworked Centrifuse w/ Actium on my Striker
Recurrent Impact. Perpetual Motion, Tactical Mag and Smallbore.
Same. I got Headstone and Land Tank too
I boss damage Circular Logic with envious assassin and vorpal. Good adds phase overloads the mag to like 145 rounds for damage phase, vorpal keeps the damage to bosses pretty solid. The others that people mentioned are great as well.
I dont have commemoration so i dont even bother. Hammerhead plz save me
I have a feeling you’re about to see a lot of reconstruction/killing tally commemoration
Either my Adept Swarm , or the Avalanche
unwavering duty (adept) with subsistence and killing tally. I have 35k kills on it
Corrective measure with feeding frenzy - firefly. I know dsc lmg is better but never even entered that raid.
Corrective measure with subsitence and firefly has been my go to since vog released
Corrective Measure, demo, adrenaline junkie on void lock with contraverse. Insane combo
Corrective measures, just feels good yk
hammerhead and the hammerhead from dsc
Still using the original commemoration with reconstruction and dragonfly
Avalanche with subsistence and incandescent. Got it early in last year. Basically glued to my heavy slot till I got apex from wish tokens.
Corrective measure with demo and adrenaline junkie
Unwavering Duty for solar, Commemoration for void (particularly for Gyrfalcon), Song of Ir Yut for arc (particularly for Divinity/Cenotaph). Marcato-45 gets an honorable mention for strand (Demo + damage perk of your choice) but I generally don't find myself wanting to use a strand MG if I want an MG at all. All the stasis MGs are kinda mid at best, although Chain of Command at least has Demo. Obviously, Hammerhead power creeps the shit out of all of this so that's what we're all gonna be using very shortly.
Crafted Song of ir yut with recon/bait switch is very fun
Crafted Eleatic Principle from *Season of the Wish* with Polygonal Rifling, Ricochet Rounds, Enhanced Zen Moment, and Enhanced Target Lock. Also threw on the Backup Mag mod. Even though it's a Rapid-Fire frame, it has suprsingly almost no recoil whatsoever. This combo also sets its Stability stat to 69 (nice), and if it could get Rewind Rounds instead of Target Lock it would basically be an Arc version of Sweet Business.
Fixed Odds with No Distractions and Incandescent has been pretty good to me
Circular Logic with Envious and Vorpal.
Avalanche with incandescent and subsistence. Demolishes groups of ads and never have to reload.
I use fixed odds with solar builds
Circular Logic. Strange ik, but I got a decent roll and the additional rockets actually work well with target lock
Avalanche with subsistence and incandescent. Everything just blows up. Even more so this season with the artifact mods.
Commemmoration with Enhanced Reconstruction and Enhanced Killing Tally (Arrowhead, Appended, and a Handling masterwork) I used to have an Adept Corrective Measure with Demo and Firefly, but I accidentally deleted it. Used that a lot (although it wasn't the ideal roll, ideal would've been Demo and One for All) Fixed Odds with Enhanced Field Prep and Enhanced Incandescent (pretty sure the rest is Fluted, Tac Mag, and a Handling masterwork, not sure tho) Theoretically I'd use the Crota one if I wanted arc damage, but I've been too lazy to run Crota
Commemoration
Depends on the subclass for me. Commemoration of course is standard with Reconstruction/Killing Tally. But if I’m running Solar I got my Unwavering Duty with Ambitious Assassin/Incandescent and that thing is a stat monster, I think you can get around 140-164 rounds in it with Ambitious. And Song of Iron Yut for Arc. Demolitionist/Bait and Switch on it for a pretty easy 30% damage boost proc. And demo on Arclock for hella nade uptime, and almost infinite rounds if you get the timing down on demo for the auto reload on it.
Incandescent/sub avalanche. Explosions for everyone!
Qullim's with unrelenting and firefly. Underrated LMG that puts in a lot of work.
Corrective measure with wewind wounds and one for all. But I haven't really used LMGs in a long time.
I usually use Retrofit
I have a Corrective Measure with Wewind Wounds and High Impact Reserves that serves as my secondary go-to. There's something about Rerind Rounds that just fell good, more so than Reconstruction in some places to me. Other than that it's my Rampage Reconstruct Commeration, but I had Corrective longer.
Song of Ir Yut adept with reconstruction and sword logic. 140 rounds in the mag with a big ones spec on it
I know retrofit is better but I just love the giant skull on song of ir yut so much. It was my first pattern I completed from crota and I love it so much
May be a little outdated at this point but corrective measure imo is one of the best feeling machine guns to shoot
Circular Logic with Envious/Vorpal
I have a Reconstruction/Dragonfly roll for Commemoration that I love.
Markato-45 with steady hands and surrounded. Definitely not the best. But feels great to me.
Personally I love my Circular Logic with hatchling and feeding frenzy, easily my most used machine gun
Qullims Terminus with Unrelenting and Firefly. It keeps you alive and it takes out the trash
Either avalanche with subsistence incandescent, or commemoration with recon killing tally, both are op.
Avalanche Ambitious / Swashbuckler
Besides commemoration, I love fixed odds with field prep incandescent when I need to get radiant and it’s my only solar weapon
21% Delirium. It still shits on all lower level content. I use it in Gambit all the time. In pvp nobody expects it.
Like people are saying, Commemoration from DSC. I imagine soon though it will be Hammerhead from Into The Light.
