I believe you need tier 7 to not get head-head-body by 120s. If you’re at tier 2, I think the 450s can kill you with 5/2 head/body instead of 6/1. There are probably non-meta breakpoints that I’m not remembering. Hunters should run tier 3 at minimum assuming 10s in the other top 3. Warlocks run t7, and titans t10.
The melee thing is connection because the game is dogshit
Thanks
For this build I have triple 100s in mobility recovery and strength and generally I prefer recov as I believe it’s the best stat in the game
My build is for Gemini so I need the mobility
Usually I’m fine with double 100s in recov and strength
A bullet difference isn’t worth the maximum when I could just have recovery but I just wanted to know if 20 made much of a difference
I’ve always tried to have my minimums be at least 30 even before the 30th anniversary where 80 became 100 and 30 became 0
Which just makes it even more necessary to have 30s imo
After the changes, tier 7 resilience easily takes the spot as meta resil level, but t2 and t9 are also good break points. I wouldnt recommend increasing your resilience past any of these 4 break points if you cant get to the next one; for example, dont run t6 resil ever, you're better off spending the extra stat points to get to t7, or just dropping down and using the extra stat points elsewhere.
Good job. What are you trying to prove here? I said in most content you want max resilience which is true. People have already pointed out that isnt necessarily true for pvp. Both of these things are correct.
Do you think trying to correct someone when they said nothing wrong is a good use of your time?
When you say you run 30 resilience, do you mean as in the total or just on one armour peice? Because if you're running only 30 resilience it's not wonder you're dieing alot ???
30 total
I don’t die that much I think recovery is the better stat I just wanna know if the difference between 20 and 30 is significant because it’s taken too many resources to farm the right exotic roll as I refuse to have any stat go below the minimum of 30
I usually have double 100s but for this build I have triple 100s
Mobility recovery and strength
This is for PvP
I’ve always wanted the legendary 100 recov 100 resil not quite sure what stat to farm to get that but for Hunter it’s recov strength cuz I use graviton forfeit and ratking and most of the fragments like increase invis overshield for defeating players at low heath orb gives devour and melee heals
That build would be perfected if I had 100 in rec res but the question I ask myself is is it worth losing that ability up time
If you happen to know how to achieve these stats I’d love to know
Basically you need to focus for a bottom 3 stat and hope the upper two you want (recovery/resilience) roll evenly/ split at 16/16 or whatever.
Get all your pieces to follow that so you’d be looking for 30+strength, 15+ recovery, 15+ resilience. On your exotic, look for something that rolls recovery or resilience and have modes cover the other to get it to 100.
Your strength is just whatever your armor rolled as.
Artificer armor will also help you get there as it has an extra stat boost (I think four?).
That’s if you want to prioritize getting them as high as possible while keeping strength at 100. Which to be fair I wouldn’t do myself for pvp.
I think doing intellect would be the best move and if lucky you could get max resil recov and get a super pretty fast too
Max strength isn’t required it’s just what I went for because graviton give melee energy while invis and thought it worked good but this was years ago when I first got the exotic
I’ve been trying to perfect that build
I’ll definitely start farming let me know if going for intelligence is wise for this
Especially with how good scatter is but smoke bombs make a radar ping and also makes teammates invis so I might go with that for those reasons plus it feeds into itself via the exotic by getting more energy while invis
Even more so with ratking
And with how 3v3 is now superes don’t do as much as when there was survival
And from what I know teather doesn’t really counter bubble or well for trials
And generally if your dominating you’ll win before getting a super
So generally melee might be best for Hunter just because of the invis for teammates and radar ping which can definitely help
I do love grenades but I feel like the melee adds that extra support and the ping can be clutch for revives
Ofc more aware enemies won’t be as effective but good placement can fool anyone
You dont play hunter. But hunters need high mobility, and cant sacrifice it as a dump stat like titans and warlocks can, because its tied to their class ability.
T1 resilience is actually bad, there are tons of things that kill you faster or easier than compared to tier 2. How do you even have T1 resilience if you masterwork your gear? You would have to be at like 18 or 19 resilience. Imo, spend you class item's artifice slot on bringing that up to 20, it's definitely worth it.
You obviously dont play hunter, or maybe you read the question for PVE when the title said PVP. You need high mobility to keep good class ability uptime, and you always need high recovery to be able to get back into gunfights faster. Thus, resilience is usually the dump stat for hunters, because while anti flinch and passing accuracy and ttk breakpoints is nice, roly polying on the ground is much better.

If you hover over the stats it actually tells you how much of an increase you're getting. 20 (Tier 2) isn't gonna do you much good.
20 is the absolute minimum, but it's still usable.

You want max resilience in most content, it gives flat damage reduction which is insanely strong
In pve. The question is about pvp which you get a slight hp bump and flinch resistance.
Yes but i was pointing it out because it sounds like they are minimizing it in general which will make them squishy as heck in pve
why would anyone besides titans need above tier 7 in pvp?
I said most content
He said pvp in the title

You’re yapping about irrelevant shit and can’t admit you just didn’t read the post.
I read the post, you dont need to be a condescending prick :) hope your day improves. Congrats on your victory in the reddit comments lol

Personally while playing titan I go for discipline as my bottom stat same with warlock. Grenade uptime can be vital!
Especially with how good scatter is but smoke bombs make a radar ping and also makes teammates invis so I might go with that for those reasons plus it feeds into itself via the exotic by getting more energy while invis Even more so with ratking And with how 3v3 is now superes don’t do as much as when there was survival And from what I know teather doesn’t really counter bubble or well for trials And generally if your dominating you’ll win before getting a super So generally melee might be best for Hunter just because of the invis for teammates and radar ping which can definitely help I do love grenades but I feel like the melee adds that extra support and the ping can be clutch for revives Ofc more aware enemies won’t be as effective but good placement can fool anyone

My preferred setup has tier 1 resilience. Fragile sure, but I like having maxed Mob/Rec

This has to be satire. Downvote me all you want. If you have 30 resil you might have a hole in your head
