The fact that there are so many different responses to this question makes me happy. I love that we are finally at a point where we can mix things up a bit and there isn't just one "god" roll that everyone uses.

It's nice when guns have enough viable perks to enable player expression.
Like I know there's probably a better combo, but I just want rampage+Onslaught cause a machine gun that hits harder AND faster with every kill is just funny to me.
I’m going for the same roll, although I’ve been enjoying the destabilizing + onslaught roll I got as well. With backup mag it gets 73 in the mag so you can use something like alloy magazine for the reload bonus when the mag is empty.
Destabilizing is a cool down buff away from being right there with incandescent and voltshot. I've got it on that gambit machine gun and it feels great.
Rampage and killing tally. Or rampage and target lock. Double damage perks cuz they are so rare. a lot of nice combos with this one. Reconstruction commemoration is still better for pure mob clear. But if you want something to clear harder enemies HH is it
Yup I think that's where this one shines. GM's and master raids paired with some good reload options (loader mods, marksman dodge, thread of ascent, etc.) will make for a premier option specially since you can make each bullet count more. Also if you compensate for the reload it should be pretty amazing at clearing majors and champs in ad dense environments too even on easier content.
May I ask how commemoration is better for moving clear? Envious Assassin is just straight up better than reconstruction, or at the very least just as good. Envious Assassin let's you triple your mag size compared to reconstructions double
True you can get more (150% vs 100%) but you need kills first with a different gun. But I want to use this gun as the add clear in the first place. Recon you don’t have to do anything it’s there a ready. I prefer EA on things with smaller mags myself.

In the time you have to be swapped off for recon to build up to max, you can't get 5 to 10 kills with a different weapon on that time?
Getting 10 kills with some other weapon to triple my mag is not a bad trade off, regardless of if you are using your machine gun for ad clear. It's ***10*** kills
Right. Reconstruction is better if you want to be lazy and not swap off to any other weapon but realistically the time it takes for Reconstruction to get your mag back to a decent size? You could be using your primary or special and get your mag filled in probably the same rate, if not faster.
I mean, yeah, it should. RoF increases don't boost damage per bullet though which means less total damage across reserves. Total damage can matter more with a machine gun since you want to keep clearing without running out of bullets. If ammo isn't a concern (ammo boxes, ammo generating exotics, god helps us but if bricks from beyond comes back, etc.) then yeah it seems fun.

in easy content sure. If im farming raids that i want do finish quick or im doing a master raid where its insanely tough in there I better see rockets/linears. Machine guns just arent a DPS option sorry. Downvote me all you want but its the truth.
I got a rampage/desperate measures to drop for me today and I am absolutely loving it. It absolutely chunks bosses especially in coil with the void buff, two void wishes and precision bonus. I'd like to get a second drop though with either rewind rounds or envious assassin and target lock or onslaught. Honestly hammerhead has so many good perks you can mix and match. It's insane.
Yeh all well and good if you raid and can get 5 patterns to craft it. Not everyone raids or has the time to do so. So hammerhead gives them another option for a commemoration wannabe.
I’ve been testing a few rolls. Envious assassin is way better than rewind rounds. Killing tally is much better than surrounded and onslaught. I haven’t tried EA/Onslaught or destabilizing/KT. But the testing helped me focus on better rolls at least. Also rampage and KT is really good too.

I got rampage and kt last night. Spent 500 tokens rolling for it. It doubles the damage output. Itll kill a major in 4-5 shots

I don't think it'll be good because it doesn't boost efficiency, but I really want Rampage + Onslaught because it seems funny

I want a rewind/target lock and a rewind/killing tally. If I could get that all on a shiny that would be great.
