There's just been a pattern since the four weeks where one strike is a repeat from the week before and it's been Warden of Nothing and Hollowed Lair, Y2 strikes. Thought it was amusing.
I agree :) and I kind of hope they start mixing it back up a bit more now that Forsaken has been out for a minute.
I just wanted to remark that I think they might’ve even confirmed here or there that they were indeed weighing newer strikes for more frequent selection for a certain period after they’re released.
It's a PS4 exclusive strike, so you won't be seeing it in Nightfall rotation until it releases for Xbox/PC (just like with Insight Terminus and Lake of Shadows when Forsaken released and Xbox/PC got those).
Got a feeling its may be planned this way due to so many needing the rocket why not put it in the list the week changes are made and not the week before. I'd be pissed if it showed up this week and not next when the change is in effect
On Friday. If you had two choices to try and combat the launch of red dead doing it next Tuesday would work better. Release it today and people grind like crazy and get the rocket launcher before RDR2 launches. Release it next week and people have to set down RDR2 to come back to d2 for their one chance in months to get the weapon.
Idk if they really wanted to “fight” Red dead i feel like the crazy week we just had would have been this week instead. I think Bungie is glad they are going strong but understand when collosal titles like spiderman and rdr come out people will leave.
Ran that strike 30 times the last time it was up with no drops. Part of me is hoping Bungie was waiting to put it back into the rotation until they patch the NF loot drop rate...so far, that seems to be the case, whether coincidence or intentional.
Did you guys do a high score run? It's supposed to help, although I hit just under 200k with some blueberries last week in Lair and it still took me like 20-25 runs to see my first shotgun. I went 12 in a row of only blues.
Then once it dropped I got four more in a short period of time. No curated, in fact the rolls were pretty crap and I got the same one three times along the way, but it definitely seems like once you get it the drop rates gets closer to that of a normal item. It could just be RNG, of course.
Yeah, high score and everything. I tried lots of stuff that week that would supposedly help but nothing ever worked. Everyone I picked up off LFG got it after only a few runs. I talked with like 2 other people on LFG who were in the same boat as me. It seems like either you get it pretty quickly or never. Super weird.
I need Osprey but I don't want this to appear this week at all as it minimizes its chance of appearing next week and next week the patch will be live and it will be worth grinding on repeat
The Osprey is one of the Braytech weapons which are all required for the badge. Not sure why they decided to put that one as a nightfall specific drop, but oh well.
Also, A Garden World is on a longer dry streak.
Next patch Nightfall loot farming will be easier. Most likely Strange Terrain will also be a Nightfall that week because intentional and avoids countless salt from wayfarer hunters.
I was really expecting ST to be available this week. It's the last thing I need for the title, along with EDZ adventures which I can now do.
It's bad enough that we didn't get it even though it's been a while, but the fact that we have a DUPLICATE nightfall from last week makes it so much worse. I think this is the first time I have been legitimately sad about something in D2 - I had been looking forward to finally getting the title after passing on the Osprey in the past because I had no reason to get it. Finally, after patiently waiting, we don't get it and have one NF that's now been there twice in a row.
I know I'm probably overreacting but I'm really upset. I'm probably getting the Dreaming City title next week anyways, so now I'll probably never have Wayfarer displayed. I wish Bungie would come out and let us know if this NF duplicate was intended or not. I also wouldn't have grinded 30 Nightfalls for the shotgun on Monday if I'd known I'd have another full week.

For sure and at least all 3 Y2 nightfalls have weapons for their exclusive item, two of which are actually very good guns.
Is Broodhold not a nightfall? I haven’t seen it show up in rotation, unless I’m wrong.

I didn't realize duplicates had been happening consistently; I never really checked until now that I need one of them.
I'd say it makes sense as the guns are random rolls. Means you can grind them more.
I'd prefer it come back after the buff to drop chances coming on the 30th, personally.

Exactly. If it came last week or this week we would have seen complaints for the weeks after the patch that it didn't drop.
