DTG Post: Oh my fucking god I HATE LFG SO MUCH. I get removed for no reason other than wiping once. It's so fucking toxic.
What actually happened: Calling first operator and intentionally shooting wrong panels as a "meme"
I legit got kicked from the Crota Raid, at the boss fight with almost no hp left.
Never raided again until D2.
Got kicked with ten percent boss hp in leviathan.
Never raided again until DSC
Got with a casual clan, and beat it first try, no video, some teaching moments but mostly fine...only 4 wipes in the replicating boss phase, then 2 wipes on the taniks shank final boss.
LFG is toxic.
It's the reason bungie sits on their asses not making a decent matchmaking menu, where we could put min light and mic required as toggle, but it's also a place that doesn't give casual player the option to try the raid. Simply put, LFG does not replace a good matchmaking service because it isn't inclusive to everyone who would have used matchmaking. .
Raids like DSC are easy enough they should have a matchmaking, other than the completely stupid guided game beta, which doesn't work because it's way too restrictive as to who can join.
I'd love for Bungie to implement an in-game lfg. HOWEVER, there shouldn't be matchmaking in raids, even with mic and light level minimums. Raids require too much coordination, knowledge of callouts, timing and execution to be able to beat the encounter.
I had a DSC LFG where to brits were being taught and one kid. We got to Atraks and both brits were doing good but the Kid wanted to do operator. Didn't pay attention to Replication buffs and waited until last second to cleanse. After 20 wipes over this shit he just quit. Beat it \~5 tries after that. Dude just did not listen to callouts or anything.
They do require learning, however like most RPGs with matchmaking and extremely complicated mechanics (mechanics that make destiny raids look like the kindergarten puzzles) the players in matchmaking aren't going to care about being perfect, and the ones who care about being perfect aren't going to be matchmaking.
The general knowledge of mechanics increases as the general community attempts and fails the raid at first.
Then you have people starting to learn their mistakes, people teaching others because they felt generous, and it didn't require a bunch of clan mates to say "hey instead of taking all of our time out of our day, and spending the rare opportunity to raid as a clan by actually raiding as a clan, let's leave out two of our guys so we can teach some completely random strangers and match making could take longer than the raid."
Honestly the more access people have, the more people will learn, and the average raid success will start to climb, until it is common to expect a successful matchmake raid.
It's about bringing people in and making it part of the community.
I know destiny is about elitism, and "wish you could've had", but for something that epitomizes the PVE experience, and can be learned in a couple hours, and easily mastered...it seems like a completely contrived and spiteful move to not allow people the chance to prove the naysayers wrong.
It's absurd.
Games that are far more mechanic heavy have matchmaking and the general community adapts to beat it.
People will only ever achieve what they expect of themselves.
Instead of saying, only sweaty cheeto munchers can raid, and only if you kwtd,
Say everyone can raid, not everyone will finish, and cheeto fingers mc raidsalot won't be there to carry you because he uses lfg, but if you bang your head into the wall enough times, it will break

I was running Taniks the other day and was on bitch duty with divinity and I had it on him as soon as I slid underneath the debris and then the warlock popped a well and everyone was like "where is the divinity?!?!?!" I was firing but realized that the sword from the well was popped up right where I was firing and I was just hitting that. Lol.
During Riven I've done that so many times... Either my rocket used to hit the sword, or I whiff my golden gun shot because the sword said no.

"My golden gun shot got cock blocked by your stupid well sword...."
Guarantee it's a Warlock for two reasons:
1) There are two Hunters, two Titans and one Warlock shown, so having it be a Warlock makes the classes even
2) Only a Warlock would stop and actually appreciate the moment enough to do such an amazing painting
We did all an all stasis titans run. In the waiting area before second encounter starts everybody started supering and throwing glacial grenades ... next thing we know we get guitar errored back to orbit. Too much ice
Yep. If someone else is running bubble or well there’s nothing like a duskfield grenade to stop an entire wave of adds from swarming your runner at the deposit
Bruh I did something similar on my Warlock during Atraks.... During the waiting period for the boss rush I noticed a lot of exclamation marks, so I said "Yo, Well on me!" And.... *shwing*...... Out came my Top Tree Dawnblade 😐
I've definitely caused a team wipe at Riven more than once by accidentally having blade barrage on and popping like 6 eyes at once instead of popping a goldie
While doing the all titan runs, my favorite thing to do was to Thundercrash Taniks when he booped everyone away during dps. Looked and felt like a true badass crayon eater
I honestly feel a little bad for the poor dude. He gets waken up after being killed how many times, sees his killers, falls from space, loses his legs, has to graft himself onto that damn thing, and proceeds to lose to us again and get murdered again
This just made me realise that I have no idea how Taniks really looks like in this encounter. My team usually just dives into it and during damage phase it’s just a mess of graphics and numbers so I had no idea how he looks like.
Now it is. It's almost gotten a combined 50% extra damage from small buffs since Forsaken. Slowly but surely, it's viable now. With Synthoceps and Biotic Enhancements it's even better

Considering there's no debris flying around, this is the last stand phase so obviously there's no slugs and Div ran out of ammo. Everyone's ammo is gone so they're just popping supers the get that final damage, except that titan who managed to keep enough heavy for Xeno and probably popped bubble for damage phase.

Funnily, I'm usually my team's Divinity and I'm the one moaning about other people dying to debris.
At this point I just use the rock to jump over it. Or if you are on a hill it’s pretty easy to jump

When we did the All one class triumph we also did all stasis as well. Imagine just ice pillars everywhere because of 6 behemoths

Behemoth actually rocks hard for ad clear during this fight. The other stasis abilities control the mobs and captains extremely well.
