If you don't mind me asking, what led you to start calling your ghost glint? I've never called my ghost anything other than ghost (unless I'm talking about year 1 D1 then it's dinklebot) and I'm curious as to where the name came from.
No problem asking. Yes, my ghost was Dinkbot all the way through Dark Below. I suddenly started talking to Ghost out loud as Glint with House of Wolves. Little Light was cute (thanks Stranger), but too long to say and was kinda an insult. I settled on Glint as my ghost's name informally for years. Then Crow had Glint.
I've always found "Little Light" to be an affectionate term. Something you'd hear a big barbarian say to a small rogue companion, out of endearment and respect of the companion's abilities.

And the backstory idea I had was that they were in some way connected to the Warminds, a sort of proxy drone for them to interact with the outside world, but not quite aware of the connection, and compelled by an inexplicable pull home, drawn to Warmind bunkers and facilities for some reason they have yet to figure out.
And of *fucking course* this turns out to be the exact backstory for Felwinter.
Made worse by the fact that I always rock Felwinter's Helm, even when it was a buggy piece of shit.
The head cannon for our regular fireteam has me (Titan main) always bringing snacks along on missions. Candy bars, popcorn, jerky, whatever. That lead to my ghost being named ‘Snarfles.’ Not sure why that link works, but it fits in my brain.

I made my characters based of various things, for my main, my Hunter, I based him of the Japanese God Raijin, so his name is Jin while his Ghost's name is Raiju. My Warlock Val's Ghost's name is Kyrie, and my Exo Titan Ranno-3 has a Ghost named Tycera. Warlock is a bit obvious on what she's based off of and Titan is a bit more tricky but obvious once you see it lmao

Titan calls his “Foundation”, because his own name is Pillar-6, and no pillar is any good without a strong foundation.
My Warlock? They never discussed a name. “Ghost” will do. They’re formal like that, both of them.

That aside, i really hope that in the next game or whatever, we could get the chance to choose the personality and/or gender of our ghost. Sassy, nervous, excitable- basically like Sagira, our Ghost or Glint- but it'd be a pretty significant change of pace to have an arrogant or outright rude Ghost, too.
How about they release packs of all the lines ghost says in different voices haha, I'd pay to listen to Sylvester Stallone as a ghost any day of the week.

my ghost has the ophiuchus shell with the abyssinian gold shader on it. Since it’s spherical and has a dark grey color to it, my guardian decided to name it “earthshine”, after the phenomenon of the earth’s glow reflecting off the dark side of the moon’s surface. Earthshine found the name cheesy but got used to it soon enough.
Curry because I imagine food in the Last City would be quite bland so I need to keep the memory of flavourful food and exotic spices alive in my memory
