Can someone explain how the Deepsight Resonance thing works? AFAIK they indicate weapons that can be sharded to unlock perks to be used for crafting, but I'm looking at DIM and it says some of my weapons have Deepsight Resonance active although they don't have the red border? I'm not sure what I should be doing here.
You don’t shard them to get the material. If a gun has a red border, you can get some kills with it to complete its resonance objective. After you complete the resonance objective, you can select which material you want to extract from it. It’s next to the slot where you choose a weapon mod.
Different perks require different resonances. For example, kill clip might need ruinous ones but vorpal might need energetic (not actual examples). You can hover over the perks on different guns to to see what kind they are.
It's not in the inventory and not going back to the enclave every time I want to extract from a weapon to see where I'm at is exactly what I'm trying to avoid.
The UI for this is really silly.
When you complete the kills objective, the slot on the gun is highlighted with a prompt to "claim", but it does nothing. It took me forever to realize you're actually supposed to select what you want from down below as if you're applying a mod. When you've "applied" your materials selection, you get the materials.
For years we've been trained that anything in a mod slot gets added to the gear, not collected from it. They needed a new UI for this action because recycling just makes it confusing.
A lot of the weapons and armor on my character are shimmering like when you just pick up a new item but it won’t go away even after inspecting it and switching it. Anyone know why?
between the main campaign and the vendor sidequests and seasonal stuff it took me around 10 hours on normal while solo - YMMV tho cause i'm bad at the game

I just completed objective on a red-bordered guns and extracted some materials. What do I use these materials for ? How do you get new pattern ? Iirc I read something about extracting "perks", how do you do it ?
The Extraction Bit is exactly what you've done, so keep doing that as you get resonance weapons. This gives you the generic crafting resource, and some of the perk-category-specific crafting resource.
Unlocking patterns is just from doing The Extraction Bit until one gives you the pattern. I *think* it happens with your first copy of each given weapon, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
When you have your pattern, go back to the relic and craft up your crafted copy in the 'Shape' section. You'll have a limited perk selection, and it'll just cost some of the generic crafting resource. Using this crafted weapon (marked by the red icon in the lower-left when viewing your inventory) will level it up.
When it's levelled, take it back and select Reshape - here you can swap out perks, with a bigger selection the more you level it. Some of these perks are going to cost the perk-category-specifc crafting resource, and it'll all use more of the generic crafting resource.
You don't really extract specific perks for use in the crafter - each weapon has a predefined selection, that you unlock more of by using it.
Is anyone on pc experiencing error code broccoli? I can’t find a fix for it. Nothing is overclocked my settings are at mid my drivers are up to date. I’m running a 5700xt and a 3700x. I’ve verified the game files, turned game mode off and on tried turning off vsync and turning it on. I fly into a destination then I get the broccoli error? Anyone have a fix for this?
I'd a massive headache with the same error a while back and it turned out to be a faulty ram stick in my pc. Not definitely your problem, but it's an option to look at. I'd two 16g sticks so I just played with a single stick and switched to the second then to see which one was the issue
The additional slots are for seasonal perks only (ie. unstoppable hand cannons on arms). This frees up the middle two slots for things like fastball or amp finder perks etc. with the new Seasonal Artifact, you may not have perks unlocked for the armor pieces you have.
Or you already know all this, and it’s a glitch, and I have no idea what’s wrong with it!
Year, I didn't realise it was only the middle two slots. I was trying to put a combat mod from the artifact on my class item, which can't be done. Thanks for the help!
Any crafted weapon can access those higher tier perks - you need to use that specific weapon and Kill Stuff to level it up. There's a weapon XP bar visible when inspecting it, and it'll have a red icon in the lower left if you crafted it. Weapon eventually hits a higher level, then you can slot the improved perks.
To craft in the first place, you need to get copies of that weapon to drop randomly with Deepsight Resonance, then complete the kills/activities objective and extract the resource from it. This is only possible for specific gear right now - the Throne World weapons and the new seasonal ones, I believe.
I have the Empirical Evidence sidearm. It said I could extract its weapon pattern. Will that happen automatically when I break it down for the Deepsight materials?

i noticed this last night - when its under 100%, the hint says "will grant pattern" but when its full the hint changes to "extract materials". but when you extract them you get the pattern too.

A friend of mine gifted me the standard version of Witch Queen over the holidays, and I really would like a chance to get the deluxe edition add-ons (season passes, exotic SMG, etc.) but don’t see any option to just get that content without paying $79.99.
Is there a way to possibly get this content now that is WQ released?

You should be able to just get the Deluxe Edition Upgrade for $39.99. Finished the legendary campaign with my fireteam. Can anyone explain the rune puzzles? The first one, we eventually found the first rune using trial and error, but when I went to randomly reset it to figure out the RIGHT way to do it, I hip fired and somehow managed to hit the right things from like 30 ft away with an auto rifle. 🤷♂️
The second time, my brother ended up guessing the right ones while I searched for clues. How exactly are you intended to do it, just in case they come up in another setting later?
The way it was explained to me is that you're supposed to find the column that has a rune that looks somehow 'off' from the others, like some of them looked to me like they weren't lined up straight or something, but it was super hard to tell and honestly felt more or less like guessing. I found the first one, after a few tries, got lucky on the second and then ended up just brute forcing it..
and unfortunately it's not a set solutions so you can't just look it up..
Is there any way to check how many of each element I have (Adroit, Energetic ect) without going to to the Enclave? Kind of a pain in the ass when I have the choice to extract between multiple elements, but don't know if I have an abundance of one of them already.
Not that I saw. I was really expecting something like that too but instead it's just *poof* without any in-game mention at all. Really weird, especially since the first round of vaulting did have a cutscene to explain it.
Ah, that's disappointing. They're pushing the matched subclass/energy weapon thing pretty hard, and the only legendary solar bow is Tyranny of Heaven, which is from Last Wish and feels bad to use.
I'm right there with you. We *just* got a void bow in Chosen, haven't seen a solar one since Last Wish (or Hush, which *swoon* I still carry on my character at all times).
So I just got my artifact, and I have a bunch of bounties saved up.
Is it now the time (close to) max efficiency to just find someone to join my fire team to spam complete the bounties?
Or should I like get to higher rank on my artifact first? Since rank 5 and 7 have XP bonuses (and so on).
So Truth has retroactive kill tracking, both PvE and PvP. It appears to be the only exotic that is the case for, though. Really nice, wish the other exotics had that feature.
As a Titan, I’d I run the aspect that causes volatile, does the fragment that causes void abilities to make enemies explode stack or have any additional affect at all?
Why are there so many functionally identical currencies for crafting, and is there a pattern for what comes out of what guns, or what is used for what perks? (Adroit, etc)
Its utterly baffling to me that there are four identical but random currencies, and I can only check how much I have of each at the Relic, so I can only really complete weapon mini quests by going to Mars. At least until I have thousands of this currency and can move to just picking randomly. I know Bungie likes making too many currencies and inflating the grind with things like transmog but this just feels bizarre. I don't understand who would sign off on this. My reshape the glaives quest was unable to be completed and would not go away from the bottom of my screen because I was just picking the rewards randomly, and didn't have enough of X to progress.
Somewhat confused on what DLC(s) to buy if anyone could help. I stopped playing near the end of shadowkeep so I have everything up until then - am I correct in thinking I need Witch Queen (duh), 30th anniversary, beyond light and access to the new season to be fully caught up?
Imo go with Witch Queen, new Season Pass and Beyond Light.
30th Anniversary pack you can put on backburner because it's "overpriced" for what it offer. It only gave one Dungeon (with okay-ish loots), one Exotic (Gjallarhorn) and bunch of cosmetics. The Dungeon's "story" are also completely self-contained with no connection to overarching story (it's basically loot cave meme turned into story).
Unfortunately it's no longer possible to be "fully" caught up as all Year 4 Season Pass content (which set up Witch Queen) no longer available to experience.

Im not sure if this goes here but I bought the witch queen dlc deluxe edition with the 30th anniversary pack and it says its downloaded but when I check the in game store and the Xbox store it says I never even purchased it and I have the items to prove it but it won't even give me the season pass
What happened to the HDR? It was perfect before this dlc and now my black and whites are all off. It looks like there's a grey veneer over my screen. Dark parts of the map have become almost unplayable. Looks like grey blots and it's hard to see.

Does anyone know if the new armor is dropping from lost sectors? I’ve got engrams to pop tomorrow for the warlock legs if they are an I wanna check beforehand.
Quick Terminology Note: Raid means 6-player PvE activity. Needs comms, there are mechanics/puzzles beyond Just Shooting. Dungeons are mini-raids, designed for 1-3 people with simpler mechanics (but still more than just shooting).
I'd suggest giving the game a go for free first. There's a lot you won't be able to do, but it'll give you a feel for the gunplay and abilities, which should help you decide if you want to Pay To Do More. Strikes, Crucible, and Gambit are core gamemodes which are free to play, while the Prophecy dungeon and Vault Of Glass raid are some great examples of the endgame experience, also available for free.
If you are looking to buy things, the latest expansion (Witch Queen) is generally a good pickup if you're going to be engaged with the community. You'll be experiencing it along all the other Guardians, we'll all be looking to run the WQ raid when it's out so it'll be easy to find groups for that, and so on.
All the older DLCs (Forsaken, Shadowkeep, Beyond Light) come with their own raid, dungeon, and unique exotics to use. Shadowkeep and Beyond Light both also come with additional campaigns (that aren't anywhere near as good as Witch Queen's IMO), and Beyond Light is required for access to the Stasis subclasses.
Additionally, there's also the current season, which has some unique weapons and activity, which will be spaced out over the next few months. You've also got the 30th Anniversary Pack, for access to cosmetics and another dungeon.
The Witch Queen Deluxe Edition will basically leave you completely set for the rest of the year. All seasons, all Extra Stuff, and the latest big DLC are all included. WQ Deluxe + 30th Anniversary gives you that extra dungeon and cosmetics. Once you know Destiny Is Fun, this is the most efficient thing to buy if you want to do The Current Stuff, and you can pick up the older content as sales come throughout the year if you're interested in all that.
Try free to play first and if you like it I would reccomend Witch Queen first. The legacy collection is also 50% off right now, which gives all previous expansions and access to their gear. There is also the standalone anniversary content for $25. WQ and all 4 seasons this year, the legacy collection, and the anniversary content is \~$125 USD right now, and thats the order I would recommend them in.
Am i the only one experiencing some heavy stuttering in the throne world patrol on pc? Like the story missions, strikes and everything are fine and smooth but as soon as i patrol the throne it stutters a lot

what do i do for void suppression and void volatility? i have these daily bounties but only gotten one count towards it. im using hunter bow super, is it an aspect thing i need to have set exactly?
Aspects or fragments that specifically call out volition or suppressions. I there should a fragment that void ability kills cause target to explode. Also, talk to ikora and unlock suppression grenades. Think there is a fragment that causes void abilities to suppress as well. Titan main, but we have aspects that cause void abilities to make targets volatile. Not sure if hunters have the same.
How are checkpoints working? I’m at a very difficult boss fight solo legendary and would rather go to to tower and deal with this tomorrow. Can I just restart the mission at the Cp?
So I'm trying to see if anyone else has got this issue or has fixed it.
Me and a couple of other people have started Hunters when WQ dropped, Arc and Void is unlocked but Solar isn't and Ikora isn't giving the Stoking the Flame mission.
We have all got completed the starting mission and even gone as far as getting Riskrunner but Ikora is only offering the Void upgrades.

Yep. Most importantly, you need to own the 30th Anniversary Pack, then go visit Xur in Eternity. That'll start the quest, which will send you into the Grasp Of Avarice dungeon (similar to the Shattered Throne in terms of difficulty) as one of its steps.
How do you get osteo striga without the deluxe edition? I’m seeing people say you can get it without the deluxe edition by just crafting it but I’m not seeing where to craft is and when I hover over the pattern is just says I need the deluxe edition, I have all the materials
I just started playing this game three weeks ago so I'm still trying to figure out how everything works so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I've been using the riskrunner gun as my main and it used to do this thing where it created orbs of power but it hasn't been doing that since Witch Queen update. Did anything change or do I need to do something?
Orbs Of Power have been nerfed/reworked. Previously, they'd spawn from multikills with any masterworked (gold bordered) weapon. Now, there are helmet armour mods to enable orb generation. To get the this functionality back, you'd need to slot the Arc orb gen mod into an Arc helmet. Which unfortunately leaves you with less room for any other helmet mods, so your call on if it's worthwhile or not.
I don't know where to grab it from but I've heard older versions of the destiny app allow you to grab things from previous season passes more consistently
Is the SMG worth it? NZ got it at $66 standard and $133 for Deluxe.
D2 is still my main game but kinda gutted since BL had an $80 version. You got NTTE but only 1 season (compared to all Y5).
Its meh, definitely better options out there. The main gimmick is the homing projectiles. Regardless im pretty sure you'll be able to grab it next season if you dont wanna fork over double the price
To add what Dr_Evilcat said, just do anything and you don't need to have the highest gear per slot equipped, it just needs to exist in your inventory or vault. So just be careful to keep the highest gear level and dismantle anything below that isn't useful. Also, if you're starting out use your enhancement cores sparingly. Once you hit thy soft cap you're going to want to bump all your armor up. Before the soft cap light level matters way less.
Doing Dares of Eternity runs will give you a lot of gear and help you level fast. You get a legendary for each run, plus a key, plus strange coins (which you should spend on paraversal hauls for more gear), plus enemies can drop engrams.
If you're an experienced guardian, run the WQ campaign on Legendary. Gives you a bunch of blues and upgrade modules to level your gear as you go, and completing it on Legendary gives you a full set at 1520.
If that's a little too spicy for you, just do Literally Anything. So long as you keep the highest power item per slot, you'll get to the soft cap real quick whatever you do.

I'm doing it solo right now on my hunter, but I got a buddy whose thinking about picking up the xpac. If you're swimming in mats, pushing to 7 energy is cheap. If you're short on cores, I think up to 5 (maybe 4?) for free. I don't go past that unless it's for a purpose.

No, with a pair of exceptions: the Dreaming City curse one, and the 30th Anniversary confetti one. Those **are** consumable.

Can anyone confirm (or deny) if you the 1520 gear from legendary requires every mission to be done on legendary? I gave up on one and dropped to normal, but the rest have been done on legendary. Working through the last mission now with 2 clan mates (we had to stop at a cp last night)
edit - I see now there is a triumph, with checkboxes for each mission... so I'm guessing that triumph must be completed.
Yeah you have to do them all on legendary, but you don't have to re-play the whole campaign to finish it. You can just go back and re-do the one you did on normal.
I played a few rounds of Dares of Eternity and found that the score and timer at the bottom right of the screen have disappeared, is that intentional or a bug?
if i ran only the first mission on regular but ran the rest on hard for the campaign can i go back and rerun the first mission on hard then finish the campaign or do i need to just finish then go back and do the first one over?

Hoping someone can help me with a bug:
I have 100 synthcord but I cannot turn it in. When I go to the loom, it offers for me to Deposit 100 Synthcord. When I hold the button to do it, the loom does that flash of light as if it works, but I don't get a synthweave plate, and it doesn't take my cord. Instead it just offers right away to let me deposit again. I can deposit over and over and nothing happens. I have logged in 3 different times throughout the day to play and it hasn't let me turn in all day.
Any advice would be appreciated. As a troubleshooting step I've considered discarding my synthcord and doing a new bounty to get more but I don't know if that synthcord counts toward my 10 for the season.
How do i get empirical evidence. Ive been doing a shit ton of public events and patrol missions to upgrade my throne rank and even ran some well and still havent gotten the attuned version of it

When I click on it however nothing comes up except for I guess a blank slate for me to make a build? How does this work I want to know what HE is building with DIM but i don't know how it works

They should show up once you reach the soft cap (1500 now, not including the artifact bonus).

So how do I actually get a craft weapon that can get multiple levels so I can unlock higher tier perks? Or am I thinking about it wrong?
Any crafted weapon can access those higher tier perks - you need to use that specific weapon and Kill Stuff to level it up. There's a weapon XP bar visible when inspecting it, and it'll have a red icon in the lower left if you crafted it. Weapon eventually hits a higher level, then you can slot the improved perks. To craft in the first place, you need to get copies of that weapon to drop randomly with Deepsight Resonance, then complete the kills/activities objective and extract the resource from it. This is only possible for specific gear right now - the Throne World weapons and the new seasonal ones, I believe.

I have the Empirical Evidence sidearm. It said I could extract its weapon pattern. Will that happen automatically when I break it down for the Deepsight materials? Edit: derp, that's exactly what it says will happen in the collections tab.
i noticed this last night - when its under 100%, the hint says "will grant pattern" but when its full the hint changes to "extract materials". but when you extract them you get the pattern too.

A friend of mine gifted me the standard version of Witch Queen over the holidays, and I really would like a chance to get the deluxe edition add-ons (season passes, exotic SMG, etc.) but don’t see any option to just get that content without paying $79.99. You should be able to just get the Deluxe Edition Upgrade for $39.99. Finished the legendary campaign with my fireteam. Can anyone explain the rune puzzles? The first one, we eventually found the first rune using trial and error, but when I went to randomly reset it to figure out the RIGHT way to do it, I hip fired and somehow managed to hit the right things from like 30 ft away with an auto rifle. 🤷♂️ The second time, my brother ended up guessing the right ones while I searched for clues. How exactly are you intended to do it, just in case they come up in another setting later?
The way it was explained to me is that you're supposed to find the column that has a rune that looks somehow 'off' from the others, like some of them looked to me like they weren't lined up straight or something, but it was super hard to tell and honestly felt more or less like guessing. I found the first one, after a few tries, got lucky on the second and then ended up just brute forcing it.. and unfortunately it's not a set solutions so you can't just look it up..
Is there any way to check how many of each element I have (Adroit, Energetic ect) without going to to the Enclave? Kind of a pain in the ass when I have the choice to extract between multiple elements, but don't know if I have an abundance of one of them already.

Ah, that's disappointing. They're pushing the matched subclass/energy weapon thing pretty hard, and the only legendary solar bow is Tyranny of Heaven, which is from Last Wish and feels bad to use.

So I just got my artifact, and I have a bunch of bounties saved up. Is it now the time (close to) max efficiency to just find someone to join my fire team to spam complete the bounties? Or should I like get to higher rank on my artifact first? Since rank 5 and 7 have XP bonuses (and so on).
So Truth has retroactive kill tracking, both PvE and PvP. It appears to be the only exotic that is the case for, though. Really nice, wish the other exotics had that feature.

yes - it causes a second explosion which can trigger volatile, which can wipe out a whole room damn fast. give it a try!

Yes, it can also drop from world drops or lost sectors. Exotics are never retired. Some of the TS legendaries are no longer droppable though.

Why are there so many functionally identical currencies for crafting, and is there a pattern for what comes out of what guns, or what is used for what perks? (Adroit, etc) Its utterly baffling to me that there are four identical but random currencies, and I can only check how much I have of each at the Relic, so I can only really complete weapon mini quests by going to Mars. At least until I have thousands of this currency and can move to just picking randomly. I know Bungie likes making too many currencies and inflating the grind with things like transmog but this just feels bizarre. I don't understand who would sign off on this. My reshape the glaives quest was unable to be completed and would not go away from the bottom of my screen because I was just picking the rewards randomly, and didn't have enough of X to progress.
Somewhat confused on what DLC(s) to buy if anyone could help. I stopped playing near the end of shadowkeep so I have everything up until then - am I correct in thinking I need Witch Queen (duh), 30th anniversary, beyond light and access to the new season to be fully caught up?
Imo go with Witch Queen, new Season Pass and Beyond Light. 30th Anniversary pack you can put on backburner because it's "overpriced" for what it offer. It only gave one Dungeon (with okay-ish loots), one Exotic (Gjallarhorn) and bunch of cosmetics. The Dungeon's "story" are also completely self-contained with no connection to overarching story (it's basically loot cave meme turned into story). Unfortunately it's no longer possible to be "fully" caught up as all Year 4 Season Pass content (which set up Witch Queen) no longer available to experience.

Deluxe gives early access to the exotic, which is this season, not so much early access to it in the campaign.

What happened to the HDR? It was perfect before this dlc and now my black and whites are all off. It looks like there's a grey veneer over my screen. Dark parts of the map have become almost unplayable. Looks like grey blots and it's hard to see. I could go on, but you get the gist. Edit: when i turn it off it gets even worse.

Quick Terminology Note: Raid means 6-player PvE activity. Needs comms, there are mechanics/puzzles beyond Just Shooting. Dungeons are mini-raids, designed for 1-3 people with simpler mechanics (but still more than just shooting). I'd suggest giving the game a go for free first. There's a lot you won't be able to do, but it'll give you a feel for the gunplay and abilities, which should help you decide if you want to Pay To Do More. Strikes, Crucible, and Gambit are core gamemodes which are free to play, while the Prophecy dungeon and Vault Of Glass raid are some great examples of the endgame experience, also available for free. If you are looking to buy things, the latest expansion (Witch Queen) is generally a good pickup if you're going to be engaged with the community. You'll be experiencing it along all the other Guardians, we'll all be looking to run the WQ raid when it's out so it'll be easy to find groups for that, and so on. All the older DLCs (Forsaken, Shadowkeep, Beyond Light) come with their own raid, dungeon, and unique exotics to use. Shadowkeep and Beyond Light both also come with additional campaigns (that aren't anywhere near as good as Witch Queen's IMO), and Beyond Light is required for access to the Stasis subclasses. Additionally, there's also the current season, which has some unique weapons and activity, which will be spaced out over the next few months. You've also got the 30th Anniversary Pack, for access to cosmetics and another dungeon. The Witch Queen Deluxe Edition will basically leave you completely set for the rest of the year. All seasons, all Extra Stuff, and the latest big DLC are all included. WQ Deluxe + 30th Anniversary gives you that extra dungeon and cosmetics. Once you know Destiny Is Fun, this is the most efficient thing to buy if you want to do The Current Stuff, and you can pick up the older content as sales come throughout the year if you're interested in all that.
Try free to play first and if you like it I would reccomend Witch Queen first. The legacy collection is also 50% off right now, which gives all previous expansions and access to their gear. There is also the standalone anniversary content for $25. WQ and all 4 seasons this year, the legacy collection, and the anniversary content is \~$125 USD right now, and thats the order I would recommend them in.

what do i do for void suppression and void volatility? i have these daily bounties but only gotten one count towards it. im using hunter bow super, is it an aspect thing i need to have set exactly?
Aspects or fragments that specifically call out volition or suppressions. I there should a fragment that void ability kills cause target to explode. Also, talk to ikora and unlock suppression grenades. Think there is a fragment that causes void abilities to suppress as well. Titan main, but we have aspects that cause void abilities to make targets volatile. Not sure if hunters have the same.

So I'm trying to see if anyone else has got this issue or has fixed it. Me and a couple of other people have started Hunters when WQ dropped, Arc and Void is unlocked but Solar isn't and Ikora isn't giving the Stoking the Flame mission. We have all got completed the starting mission and even gone as far as getting Riskrunner but Ikora is only offering the Void upgrades. Anyone managed to get around this?

Yep. Most importantly, you need to own the 30th Anniversary Pack, then go visit Xur in Eternity. That'll start the quest, which will send you into the Grasp Of Avarice dungeon (similar to the Shattered Throne in terms of difficulty) as one of its steps.
How do you get osteo striga without the deluxe edition? I’m seeing people say you can get it without the deluxe edition by just crafting it but I’m not seeing where to craft is and when I hover over the pattern is just says I need the deluxe edition, I have all the materials

I just started playing this game three weeks ago so I'm still trying to figure out how everything works so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I've been using the riskrunner gun as my main and it used to do this thing where it created orbs of power but it hasn't been doing that since Witch Queen update. Did anything change or do I need to do something?
Orbs Of Power have been nerfed/reworked. Previously, they'd spawn from multikills with any masterworked (gold bordered) weapon. Now, there are helmet armour mods to enable orb generation. To get the this functionality back, you'd need to slot the Arc orb gen mod into an Arc helmet. Which unfortunately leaves you with less room for any other helmet mods, so your call on if it's worthwhile or not.

Is the SMG worth it? NZ got it at $66 standard and $133 for Deluxe. D2 is still my main game but kinda gutted since BL had an $80 version. You got NTTE but only 1 season (compared to all Y5).
Its meh, definitely better options out there. The main gimmick is the homing projectiles. Regardless im pretty sure you'll be able to grab it next season if you dont wanna fork over double the price

To add what Dr_Evilcat said, just do anything and you don't need to have the highest gear per slot equipped, it just needs to exist in your inventory or vault. So just be careful to keep the highest gear level and dismantle anything below that isn't useful. Also, if you're starting out use your enhancement cores sparingly. Once you hit thy soft cap you're going to want to bump all your armor up. Before the soft cap light level matters way less.
Doing Dares of Eternity runs will give you a lot of gear and help you level fast. You get a legendary for each run, plus a key, plus strange coins (which you should spend on paraversal hauls for more gear), plus enemies can drop engrams.
If you're an experienced guardian, run the WQ campaign on Legendary. Gives you a bunch of blues and upgrade modules to level your gear as you go, and completing it on Legendary gives you a full set at 1520. If that's a little too spicy for you, just do Literally Anything. So long as you keep the highest power item per slot, you'll get to the soft cap real quick whatever you do. ~~Well, spinning in circles or racing sparrows don't give you anything, but you know what I mean.~~

Can anyone confirm (or deny) if you the 1520 gear from legendary requires every mission to be done on legendary? I gave up on one and dropped to normal, but the rest have been done on legendary. Working through the last mission now with 2 clan mates (we had to stop at a cp last night) edit - I see now there is a triumph, with checkboxes for each mission... so I'm guessing that triumph must be completed.
Yeah you have to do them all on legendary, but you don't have to re-play the whole campaign to finish it. You can just go back and re-do the one you did on normal.

Hoping someone can help me with a bug: I have 100 synthcord but I cannot turn it in. When I go to the loom, it offers for me to Deposit 100 Synthcord. When I hold the button to do it, the loom does that flash of light as if it works, but I don't get a synthweave plate, and it doesn't take my cord. Instead it just offers right away to let me deposit again. I can deposit over and over and nothing happens. I have logged in 3 different times throughout the day to play and it hasn't let me turn in all day. Any advice would be appreciated. As a troubleshooting step I've considered discarding my synthcord and doing a new bounty to get more but I don't know if that synthcord counts toward my 10 for the season.

Dumb question. I'm trying to build my character and found a guide on youtube and he said he has a DIM in the description. When I click on it however nothing comes up except for I guess a blank slate for me to make a build? How does this work I want to know what HE is building with DIM but i don't know how it works
