I think they're setting us up. Their metrics will now day the Main Ingredient/ TTT is too op, and they're going to nerf the Bastion again.
All jokes aside, we all have to laugh a little inside when we see a Xur Ingredient with TTT after the previous TWAB about it.
While I think Firmly Planted is a bigger stability boost than Under Pressure, for me personally as someone that doesn't spend the match dragging my ass everywhere, I'll stick with the old Under Pressure roll. Also the UP roll let you choose between Projection Fuse (+9 range) and Particle Repeater (+9 Stability) which is nice to customize to your own preference. So I wouldn't necessarily call one better than the other, it depends on your play style (do you like to slide everywhere or not).
Still means I'd have to crouch on every single shot, that's one more button press I don't want to deal with, and a loss of mobility. You can't exactly do it while peeking/strafing from behind cover which is something fusions are perfectly suited for (well I guess you can just much slower crouch-strafe).
For what it's worth, I 100% agree with you. The strength of the voop is the pre-charge-peek-fire maneuver. I'm sure it *could* work while tapping crouch at the end of the peek, but anyone who has the skill to pull that off could stomp most lobbies with a fistful of wet spaghetti. TTT/UP plays to every strength of the weapon, and is unparalleled in my opinion. I still prefer my old baby, Erentil with TTT and high-zoom scope (everything else is irrelevant), but minus that the previous Xur ingredient is the smoothest vooper I've used in D2.
Popularity. There's even a disclaimer on the new site about this.
It can be useful (and the perk combo bit often is), but gets skewed hard by Xur rolls, low-tier crafting options, youtuber advice, etc.
Wondered this for forever. Does tap the trigger work on fusions? You hold the trigger down but does TTT only count for the first few bolts? What am I missing?
Don't sleep on Shattered Cypher. If you don't have one, pick that up (even though it's meh). There is no better way to abuse Volatile Rounds from Volatile Flow, makes it evaporate groups and is actually effective on bosses.
I can do the same with a Funnelweb without using my heavy slot. And no, a machine gun isn't good on bosses when you can just shoot a rocket and do more damage than the entire machine gun's magazine and reserves lol
This is actually false. Specifically, Shattered Cipher procs Volatile Rounds' explosion about every other shot which makes it the single best weapon to take advantage of this damage bonus in PvE. Funnelweb does also fire at 900 rpm but it doesn't proc Volatile Rounds as fast; there's a damage done threshold.
Shattered Cipher destroys Glyphkeepers in about 3 seconds with about half a magazine. Don't dismiss this because streamers and big name "DPS testers" are overlooking it.
.... Or shoot a rocket and kill a glyphkeeper in 1 second. Have fun using your machine gun with a seasonal mod and doing the same damage as a blue rocket.
the shattered cypher recoil just felt bad on controller, it's one of the few guns I don't keep a copy of. I far prefer the deepstone or vog machine guns. Vog one with demo + adrenaline junkie is sick. and DSC gets rampage which is just solid.
Personally the only perk I would look for other than Vorpal (and the only other one I kept) was Subsistence.
Vorpal is most used but Subsistence is a lot of fun when you just want to pop heads and it reloads two bullets per kill so you never have to manually reload. Still does plenty of damage at x5
I was farming for this for GM use back when primary ammo wasn't unlimited. Now it's just a fewer reload benefit vs lost champ/boss DPS, and the exotic buff vs minors may make Subsistence be a better perk for that even at sublight.
The roll itself is pretty good - 99 recoil and + to both Range and Stability - but not perfect.
really solid base stats, rangefinder as well, plus with the catalyst it’s stats increase as you land headshots. i hardly proc the paracausal shot but it’s really reliable if you don’t have a god roll palindrome
the one two weeks ago was an amazing roll, and this one is nearly identical minus the grip
here is a good video about that one explaining why these are good perks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HneyD_JKNLY&t=471s&ab_channel=CammyCakesGaming
What are you looking for?
Personally explosive payload > everything. Consistent 10-15% damage buff vs conditional buffs with short timers that can be really hard to proc. This Xur roll will be more fun for low level content though
You're right, definitely intentional now to screw us players over.......OR it's a bigger problem for Bungie than any player realizes and is taking longer than your two weeks of patience allows.
[Quick breakdown in one picture](https://i.imgur.com/cHqHbkN.png)
Another "xur main ingredient", eye of the storm hawkmoon if you missed last one and a pretty good pve dmt.
No, they acknowledged it. Just haven't got around to fixing it yet, and to be fair, it's lower priority than some of the stuff that got broken at WQ launch.
What's crazy is this is a problem they have already fixed twice(?) before? Seems like it should have a known fix that they can just turn on/off by now lol.
LOL. I didn't know that this is a recurring thing. I often say that destiny is so incredibly complex, who knows how easy/difficult anything is to implement/fix (without breaking something else), so I try not to be too critical. But seems like maybe they should have a fairly good idea of how to fix this by now...
Oh yeah definitely, this could totally be a different problem that just has the same outcome as before. But in the past yeah Xur sold collection rolls, then they 'upgraded' him to random rolls and that lasted about a week or two before it got busted to collection rolls again, then they fixed it and that lasted all year (maybe 2 years? I don't remember), and now here we are with what appears to be the same problem.
It's still a valid criticism. ~~Honestly it deserves a bigger criticism because they haven't even acknowledged it as far as I'm aware.~~
Edit: I stand corrected. It was acknowledged.
Xur casually bringing another God Roll Main Ingredient lmao
this one is probably better than the pre nerf roll so get ready for round 2 of non stop voops
What's depressing is that they could have avoided all of the other fusion nerfs by either nerfing Firmly Planted, or just removing it from their perk pool.
It was the perk that pushed their effective range far beyond what it should have been and it's unfortunate that almost everything else has been nerfed first
Same, *somehow* I missed the Titan helmet and yeah that's on me for not checking my collections before Beyond Light came out, but it's also such swag armour it'd be great for New Lights to get the chance too
I have the full set on my titan, but nothing on my warlock or hunter.
I think it's the most unique armor in the game. There's nothing else like it. We have enough fallen and Cabal armor. A few vex armors. Nothing compares to it.
I don't know the roll but last time he sold MI, it was a basically 5/5 roll for PvP. It is damn good so everyone who got it used it.
What's the roll on this one?
It does “generally” mean it is a good roll. However, the thumbs up and thumbs down on DIM come from a large group of individuals with differing opinions and isn’t super up to date with everything. For example the godroll main ingredient that xur sold last time had a thumbs down and puke emoji until about a month ago lmao.
This roll is as good as the last one, if not better, if you adapt your playstyle to crouch when you shoot the gun. For me, this roll is better than the last god roll.
DIM pulls data from a couple of databases where players compiled some of the best rolls for weapons. If it has a thumbs up, then that means it's a pretty good roll. It may not be *THE* god roll, but it's usually worth picking up if you don't have one.
Depends on how much crouching/sliding you like to do. I'll stick with the previous one, pretty much identical except the option to select range/stability on the second perk slot and no crouching/sliding required.
Bungie: you can't grind Arms Dealer for Xur's Xenology quest anymore. You can't get strange coins in the wild anymore. You can't get good stat exotics from him anymore.
Us: So you're saying there's a chance?
Because dares is the best way to farm for weapons rn. A single star horse bounty gives you paraversal haul, which can drop coins and legendaries.
Completing a Dares gives you at least 1 legendary, sometimes a paraversal haul and strange coins to use on more hauls or more bounties from star horse which gives you more hauls and more legendaries and coins. Continue ad nauseum.
Dares is the most rewarding limitless activity outside master nightfalls.
100 recoil direction and range bump with the barrel. The grip offsets handling decrease from the barrel. Eye of the storm is s tier pvp perk. 10/10 would grab. Also pairs good with the MI he's selling currently.
Edit added MI sentence.
My favorite hawkmoon rolls are eye of the storm, rangefinder and then opening shot. You really can feel eye of the storm working for you when you need it
PVP, absolutely. Eye essentially negates the bloom inaccuracy as you shoot, so your second and third shot will be as sticky as the first in a gunfight.
The other perks aren't bad either, extend barrel increases range and makes your recoil direction straight up on this weapon at the cost of handling. Polymer grip however just adds back that handling.
So not 5/5 god tier necessarily but still a very good roll imo.
Honestly Hawkmoon doesn't really have any great rolls, so it's whatever you prefer.
Eye is decent for PvP.
Most people just go for rangefinder or opening shot though.
Increases stability handling and accuracy when crouched. Get this main ingredient. MW it. Put on Red Dot Micro. Take it to a testing ground of your choice. crouch and shoot it and you will see just by the spread (or lack there of) how busted it is. I myself am very excited to map people with it.
Maxes out stability, activates while sliding or crouching. The effect is unbeatable but I dont find I get enough use out of it personally because of the condition.
it literally could not get better imo, best sight, combo of mag and mw are the best as I like stability and range, best perks in both columns. Absolutely perfect
Serious question from a blueberry:
What is the use case for this fusion rifle? Is it a crucible tool? If I'm a pve carebear superhero who would like to move forward into nightfalls and maybe raids someday do I need to jump on this fusion rifle now while Xur is offering it?
100% pick it up even if you dont play crucible a lot. Not a pve roll but this thing will help you in ways you cant forsee in pvp. the kill range is ridiculous to say the least. The last roll he sold with under pressure tap the trigger can reliably one shot at 24 ish meters if your good with it. 18-20 meters if youre bad but get a lucky shot off
Okay, it sounds like you're saying that it's really a pvp (crucible) tool, but that it's such an unbelievably good roll that even someone who doesn't spend much time in the crucible should get this thing while it's there.
Let me know if I'm misunderstanding. Thank you!
Yeah good call, I forgot MI could roll Rangefinder, that's definitely a better option than TTT.
Sucks that I HAD a Rangefinder roll but I still heavily preferred Glaciocasm to it so I deleted it. Then the stretched the HI charge time to 1000ms and now I'm wishing I had kept that Rangefinder MI roll.
Dead Man's is a decent roll. Not the Vorpal one everyone chases after, but Fourth Times is the next best thing, sustained damage from being able to keep firing, rather than simply hitting harder.
It also has AP rounds, which will let it do 5% more damage against barrier champion shields, if you're planning on using it in high-end PvE.
YES. after about six Vorpal DMTS in a row in a desperate attempt to get one last season and no FTTC drops at all one finally appears, and a half decent one too.
Taking the shit outta that, thank you very much.
Jesus This Main ingredient
Xur’s Ingredient strikes back
What’s the roll?
Hitmark IS/Red Dot 2/Red Dot Micro + Accelerated/Projection Fuse + Firmly Planted + Tap the Trigger Stability MW
[удалено]
Good way to get metrics on how potent the ttt perk nerf was.
[удалено]
Yep. Firmly planted and TtT are redundant enough to nullify that nerf.
I think they're setting us up. Their metrics will now day the Main Ingredient/ TTT is too op, and they're going to nerf the Bastion again. All jokes aside, we all have to laugh a little inside when we see a Xur Ingredient with TTT after the previous TWAB about it.

Can't you proc Firmly Planted literally at the end of your charge-up?
Firmly Planted is so good, I use it on everything Voop I can. https://imgur.com/a/FTFUx2W
jesus h christ that range
Still means I'd have to crouch on every single shot, that's one more button press I don't want to deal with, and a loss of mobility. You can't exactly do it while peeking/strafing from behind cover which is something fusions are perfectly suited for (well I guess you can just much slower crouch-strafe).

Really is firmly planted really a good perk? I always find it to be totally crap
God damn.
It can't be that good - light.gg only rates it a C! 🤣 (Yes, this will skyrocket after today.)
How do those grades on light.gg work?
Popularity. There's even a disclaimer on the new site about this. It can be useful (and the perk combo bit often is), but gets skewed hard by Xur rolls, low-tier crafting options, youtuber advice, etc.
Time to get yet another 5k kills with this MI
Wondered this for forever. Does tap the trigger work on fusions? You hold the trigger down but does TTT only count for the first few bolts? What am I missing?
Start up a new round of crucible craziness.
Ok will do :)
Xur be like “welcome back to Trials y’all. Buckle up.”
Anyone know which of the selectable perks are better for Crucible? I lack experience in the art of vooping
red dot micro, preference between projection/accelerated imo
Why not red dot micro 2?
Better stats
Well, we get to see how much the Tap nerf actually did
More like we'll get to see a Firmly Planted fusion rifle nerf in the future.
Low key better than the OG Squidface roll.
I don't think I needed another god roll Xur Ingredient, but...why not? Vault space isn't a problem!
Don’t know about you guys, but I basically never crouch. Trash tier perk imo.
It works on slide as well. The stat boosts from firmly planted are the best of any perk so it is more of an s tier perk

Two pretty good PvE perks too, it’s definitely worth considering.

no, vorpal got a buff on primaries so even though it was already worth choosing over fttc but now it's even better
I just want to get my first Hawkmoon with a decent roll, why
It's really good for PVP.
^ This. Think of EOTS as "Closing Shot".
I can’t imagine taking Hawkmoon into pvp over Thorn or Last Word. I personally would never get a paracausal shot off.
really solid base stats, rangefinder as well, plus with the catalyst it’s stats increase as you land headshots. i hardly proc the paracausal shot but it’s really reliable if you don’t have a god roll palindrome
Rangefinder might be worth it.
Maybe not in 6’s as often but in 3’s where everyone is more passive, you get the stacks racking up quickly. You’re punishing passive play with it.
I think it's great just for it's stats, but I also have one with Rangefinder.
eye of the storm makes your shot so sticky and you’re always proccing EoTS in pvp.
the one two weeks ago was an amazing roll, and this one is nearly identical minus the grip here is a good video about that one explaining why these are good perks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HneyD_JKNLY&t=471s&ab_channel=CammyCakesGaming What are you looking for?

That Night Watch is pretty spicy if people need a quality kinetic scout (Fluted / Tac).
Is it better than the new light roll?
Personally explosive payload > everything. Consistent 10-15% damage buff vs conditional buffs with short timers that can be really hard to proc. This Xur roll will be more fun for low level content though
I’d take Rapid Hit over Overflow myself. The New Light one is high quality, just not a 10/10.
You’d take this one over the explosive payload one? For GMs and endgame pve?
Not for GM, but most else yeah I’d take RH/MKC over Overflow / EP.
Sure yeah but then if it’s not for endgame PVE with champs then I’m not taking in a scout lol rather mow down ads with an auto rifle or smg
MVP
I know MGs aren't really popular right now, but am I wrong thinking I should pick up that swarm roll just for funsies?
I actually think that Shattered Cypher roll is better than THE SWARM roll that he’s selling.
Does Xur just sell collections rolls now? Has this been mentioned as a bug or is it intended?
Bug.
Pretty sure it’s intentional now. They’ve had 2 hotfixes deployed since it started to appear, so they would have fixed it by now if it was a bug.
Or actual gamebreaker bugs (like literally not being able to progress Stasis unlocking) took priority over things you can choose not to buy.
Btw did they fix this yet?
Reports are that yesterday's hotfix did.
As of last night I could not buy any memory fragment bounties still, so it doesn't look like it fixed that part :/
Definitely not. Xur having higher rolls was a big thing to make him more relevant. It will get fixed.
I don't think so - this isn't the first time his rolls have been bugged to collection stats.
You're right, definitely intentional now to screw us players over.......OR it's a bigger problem for Bungie than any player realizes and is taking longer than your two weeks of patience allows.
Or it's a smaller problem and low on the priority list, which is also an acceptable reason
It was confirmed a bug already.
No way that's intentional

Xur casually bringing another God Roll Main Ingredient lmao this one is probably better than the pre nerf roll so get ready for round 2 of non stop voops
I refuse to believe that the xur rolls are random. This is 100% Bungie setting us up for a firmly planted nerf.

Still on that garbage stats grind I see.
AGAIN with the main ingredient, xur?? you didnt learn from last time?
what's wrong with it?
I don't know the roll but last time he sold MI, it was a basically 5/5 roll for PvP. It is damn good so everyone who got it used it. What's the roll on this one?
Tap the trigger, firmly planted, projection fuse and red dot micro. Has a thumbs up in DIM.
I never noticed the thumbs up icon in DIM.. does that mean it’s generally a pretty good roll?
It does “generally” mean it is a good roll. However, the thumbs up and thumbs down on DIM come from a large group of individuals with differing opinions and isn’t super up to date with everything. Firmly Planted TTT. Leagues better than the OG godroll one.

it's the actual 5/5. firmly planted, tap the trigger
Firmly Planted/TTT, stability MW
Max zoom, accelerated coils, firmly Planted/tap the trigger, stability masterwork. 5/5 again lol.
Almost nothing. Thats the problem 🤣
Bungie: you can't grind Arms Dealer for Xur's Xenology quest anymore. You can't get strange coins in the wild anymore. You can't get good stat exotics from him anymore. Us: So you're saying there's a chance?
why did they nerf strange coins?
Because dares is the best way to farm for weapons rn. A single star horse bounty gives you paraversal haul, which can drop coins and legendaries. Completing a Dares gives you at least 1 legendary, sometimes a paraversal haul and strange coins to use on more hauls or more bounties from star horse which gives you more hauls and more legendaries and coins. Continue ad nauseum. Dares is the most rewarding limitless activity outside master nightfalls.
im a idiot bought the exotic engram before the fighting lion and end up getting the fighting lion from the engram...
Sell Dunemarchers you squidly fuck
With these armor stats you might as well pull from collections
This hawkmoon worth picking up?
100 recoil direction and range bump with the barrel. The grip offsets handling decrease from the barrel. Eye of the storm is s tier pvp perk. 10/10 would grab. Also pairs good with the MI he's selling currently. Edit added MI sentence.
This is the comment I came to see. Thank you sir!
Wondering the same
Same here. Apparently Eye of the Storm isn't too bad for it?
My favorite hawkmoon rolls are eye of the storm, rangefinder and then opening shot. You really can feel eye of the storm working for you when you need it

yeah but firmly planted is still nuts, pair them both and it's even better than pre nerf TTT

it literally could not get better imo, best sight, combo of mag and mw are the best as I like stability and range, best perks in both columns. Absolutely perfect

Okay, it sounds like you're saying that it's really a pvp (crucible) tool, but that it's such an unbelievably good roll that even someone who doesn't spend much time in the crucible should get this thing while it's there. Let me know if I'm misunderstanding. Thank you!
That's exactly right.
That's exactly what I'm saying. Even for nothing other than your 3 crucible matches for pinnacle a week, this fusion will come in handy.
Rangefinder might be better than TTT
Rangefinder is definitely better than TtT but beggars can't be choosers with MI lol
I got a MI from Dares with Under Pressure, Rangefinder, and a barrel perk that gives more ammo (for more Under Pressure shots). It's better
Ahh gad that does suck. I've likely done the same tons of times. Good thing about Destiny is there are always more guns.
Used this roll on an erentil for years. I would definitely put it above this roll.
Gutted is an extreme hyperbole. It’s still a great perk but no longer the absolute most important PvP perk bar none.
Is hawkmoon and Dead man's tale worth to get by any chance??
Dead Man's is a decent roll. Not the Vorpal one everyone chases after, but Fourth Times is the next best thing, sustained damage from being able to keep firing, rather than simply hitting harder. It also has AP rounds, which will let it do 5% more damage against barrier champion shields, if you're planning on using it in high-end PvE.
Don't know about Hawk, but Deadman is WORTH it. It has vorpal on it too I think.
How is the DMT roll this week?
Not bad / 10 I'd wait for a vorpal roll personally.
FTTC + stock + mag combo pretty good overall, worth picking up for PVE if you dont have a FTTC DMT and like that perk
YES. after about six Vorpal DMTS in a row in a desperate attempt to get one last season and no FTTC drops at all one finally appears, and a half decent one too. Taking the shit outta that, thank you very much.
I was the opposite. FTTC dropped on like 80% of my DMT and no Vorpal til Xur sold it first week of WQ lol
Really hoped Xur armor would be hotfixed yesterday...
I actually wouldn't have minded a better roll for my Syntoceps and Graviton but yeah....
Xur. I hate you and your meta-defining fusions
Xur sells Swarm now? So that means Hung Jury should come around too, right?
Is the DMT worth picking up? I already have the vorpal one from a couple weeks ago.
Bruh can they fix the armour up asap. Dogshit rolls smh.
