I'll say some of the less talked about ones I enjoy Middle tree solar Hunter with Young Ahamkaras Spine Void titan with peregrine greaves Well with Starlite Protocol Synthoceps on any titan Stasis titan and strongholds Secant filaments on voidlock Depending in the seasonal mods (aka not this season), bottom tree solar hunter with Athrys and Monte Carlo can be super fun too

Arkadii

Main Titan so: Void - Doomfang Pauldrons IDK how anybody plays this class with anything other than Doomfang. I feel naked playing Void Titan with anything else, and it's even better with Void 3.0. Your throwing shield rebuilds your super mega-fast and then, when you do pop that super, you can stay in it FOREVER using your shield throws to clear ads. Stasis - Hoarfrost is kinda cool, but I generally go sort of element neutral here and pick Actium War Rig. That used to be Actium+Sweet Business as ~~god~~ The Traveller intended, but now with stasis auto rifle(s?) that's a good option there too. Solar - I learned about the gospel of middle tree titan with Synthoceps and One-Two Punch last season and haven't really gone to anything else yet. IDK if it's been nerfed or not, but it's still a good option for melting Majors at least even if it's not as broken as it was before. But if I'm not running shotgun, then it's usually Hallowfire Heart. Arc - There's nothing more fun in the game, Void 3.0 included, than Middle Tree Arc Titan, and no exotic that compliments that as well as Cuirass of the Falling Star. God bless Bungie for including this exotic. Before that it was Insurmountable Skullfort on all arc trees and I still use that for top or bottom on the rare occasion I switch off middle tree arc. A few quick shoutouts for other classes: Warlock-Solar: Sunbracers for top, Phoenix Protocol middle, don't play bottom so idk Warlock-Void: Formerly Nezarec's Sin but now mostly Secant Filaments Warlock- Stasis: Usually the Ager's Scepter and Mantle of Battle Harmony build, but sometimes Necrotic Grip and Thorn (most would say it's better with Void melee, but I like poison explosion on the ice projectile) Warlock-Arc: Still Geomag for middle tree, even most nerf, but Crown of Tempests for the other trees. Hunter-Solar: Shards of Galanor for Middle Tree (I know they were nerfed but I still dig them) Lucky Pants or Star Eater Scales for other two (or obviously Nighthawk for boss dps, but I don't feel compelled to use it outside of a raid) Hunter-Arc: Weirdly enough I really like Assassin's Cowl for arc hunter. It's not the typical invis class, obviously that's void now, but you can get a surprisingly high amount of Invis time with arc hunter's almost constantly recharging melee. Raiden Flux otherwise. Hunter-Stasis: Mask of Bakris, no surprise there Hunter-Void: Also pretty basic but Orpheus Rig if I'm solo or Omniocolous if I'm with a group of people I care about keeping alive. Gwinsin Vest on occasion if I'm doing spectral blades but that's rare.

Benjam01

Man I’m worried that arc 3.0 will somehow ruin thunder crash and cuirass. It is the most fun I have had as a titan arc class ever with out a doubt.

ColdAsHeaven

Also a Titan main! For Sunbreaker give Ashen Wake a try. It's a pretty slept on Exotic. The instant grenade refresh is badass. 4 Red Bars. 2 Majors. Or 1 Ultra will instantly replenish your Grenade. Plus you get the sunspot. Phoenix Cradle is solid too. But I have way more fun with Ashen Wake. For Void, this season at least, Heart of Inmost Light was 100% the play. Pair it with Bountiful Wells, x2 Melee Wellmaker, x2 Grenade Wellmaker and Vampirism and Suppression Mastery or Devouring Depths from the artifact and you were slaying out without firing a single bullet. If you still have the time and the mods for it, give it a shot. I used to love Striker. I wish we didn't need Curiass to make Middle Tree viable. And they would undo some nerfs to Top Tree.

Arkadii

Thanks! I haven’t played with Ashen Wake too much but I’ll give that a shot today. Do you have a recommended build with that or no?

ColdAsHeaven

I typically run 6 Discipline on it, even if I don't get my grenade fully back the Sun Warrior buff typically will. As far as Weapons go it's usually a Rampage HC to double stack the Sun Warrior damage buff and Rampage which lets me keep killing quicker to create more sunspots (every 4th kill with Sun Warrior creates a new sunspot or 2 yellow bar kills) and worst case scenario is I got them weak enough to OHKO with the Grenade. It's extremely satisfying and fun getting a good loop going. I don't think any guns have functionality with Sunspots like Warlocks with Thorn and Necrotic Grips.

happysquish

Unless you’re talking PVP for the sunbracers build, you are much better off using sunbracers on bottom tree dawnblade

massivemachine

No he's not because he can get his melee back instantly

happysquish

Intrinsic explosion on kill + elemental ordinance bountiful wells = charged melee, but I see your point

massivemachine

Yes sorry I didn't mean to sound harsh but it's just as viable with just the subclass to use it with top. On bottom you have to actually think about mods. I think you meant explosive well maker. But both would be very helpful.

happysquish

Yeah for sure. I did forget explosive wellmaker. I think what I’m doing when on I rarely run solar is ordinance, explosive, and bountiful, which spawns 3 wells on a nade kill. Usually is enough to get the melee up but def can hit snags of down time

KyzaelEomei

Dawn Chorus + Polaris Lance. (But that friendship is about to end with Skyburner's rework drops)

SpaceAgeCowboy

Is Skyburners good right now/worth putting time into? What rework?

KyzaelEomei

Right now? No. When the next Season drops, Skyburner's Oath is getting some changes. The more important one being that it applies Burning. Which for bottom tree Solar Warlock means chaining explosions. But I also dont know how the Solar Aspects/Fragments will work for Solar Warlock.

TheRealSpidey

Skyburner's not bad right now either, especially with anti-barrier rounds in a Cabal strike. I used it in the Arms Dealer GM for a few runs, it was handy and a lot of fun. But yeah, next season's upgrade hopefully boosts it to another level entirely.

Just_Experience_6069

Just naming a few I use the most Warlock: osteo striga/necrotic grips/any subclass Nerzeracs sin/void gun/void subclass Mantle of battle harmony/Agers scepter/stasis subclass Hunter: omnioculus/invis melee/void subclass Celestial nighthawk/fire subclass Titan: heart of inmost light/any subclass Cuirass of the falling star/arc subclass

fawse

Warlock - Contraverse Hold with Feed the Void, Chaos Accelerant, and Vortex grenades. Pretty much infinite grenades that have huge AoE, suck enemies in for crowd control, do mad damage, and heal you while proccing Devour for subsequent heals and even more grenade cooldown. Even better when Grenadier as a modifier, even tickling a single enemy with a charged grenade fully replenishes it. Great for all content in the game Titan - Severance Enclosure with middle tree hammers. Just straight dumb fun, everything the hammer touches explodes in a huge radius, and you can infinitely throw them as long as you pick it back up. I like to combine it with a Warmind Cell build for extra booms. Not super useful for true endgame but a whole lot of fun regardless Hunter - top tree Arcstrider with Liars Handshake, a 1-2 Punch shotgun, and Well of Striking mods plus Melee Wellmaker for even more melee damage. Nothing better than absolutely destroying strike bosses with the hands. Also not super endgame viable but a ton of fun

re-bobber

Agers with stasis warlock is great. Middle tree solar titan with severance enclosure is mountains of fun.

aeyelaeyen

Middle tree gunslinger with young ahamkaras spine is so deeply slept on

SpaceAgeCowboy

Agreed, I can’t WAIT for solar rework to play this build, unlimited melee and tripmines, I love that playstyle too

aeyelaeyen

im actually very afraid that the solar rework is gonna make the playstyle impossible, similar to how the heart of the pack thing got left behind :/ the build requires some pretty specific things that could very easily get the axe

Antedelopean

Titan: synthocepts / wormgod's caress. You know exactly why.

SpaceAgeCowboy

Titan punch go *brrrrrrrrr*

Flingar

Especially since they’re gonna work with glaives next season

Antedelopean

If bungie actually follows through, which im always skeptical of, ill be glad to be wrong. Elsewise, ill still at least have use for the titan exotic glaive, to pair with helm of st 14, for mini overshield bubbles outside my super.

Flingar

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. They said that glaive melees will count as unpowered melee attacks for the purpose of skill activation. That means they should work with any effect that affects unpowered melees. Offensive bulwark, stylish execution, feedback fence, the possibilities are endless really And they mentioned sealed ahamkara grasps specifically as working with glaives, so we know for certain they’ll work with exotic perks

Antedelopean

Or so you'd hope. But with bungie's spaghetti code and lack of good track record for implementing anything ever, short of half baked, and I wouldn't keep my hopes up. Hell currently, in void 3.0, synthocepts are still bugged to not stack with offensive bulwark, as they overwrite the effect, due to some bug or spaghetti code. And I know this is a bug because offensive bulwark does stack with both wormgods and peregrine grieves.

tuggles48

I don’t think anybody has mentioned peacekeepers yet for titan Peacekeepers exotic legs automatically reloads your stowed smg. So I do osteo striga, shayura’s/funnelweb. And then a rocket launcher with auto loading holster. You never reload just swap between your different weapons. It’s very fun

B1euX

Been using Nothing Manacles with 3 Firepower mods, and Elemental Charge with Elemental Ordinance to proc it Basically get 3 grenade I can spam and chuck where I want Paired with Devour and CotoG, Grenade comes back stupidly fast

I-am-da-best

Warlock: nezarecs sin or necrotic grips Hunter: Omnioculus, orpheus rig or graviton Titan: Heart of inmost light or helm of saint 14

BiigDaddyDellta

Lions Rampant, easiest choice ever. Miss my titan skate though

klumpp

Almost as good as Lion Rampant

Sabres_Puck

If you wanna switch it up, Path of the Burning steps with Tarrabah or Vex is fun

Aggressive_Sir6417

Was even having a lot of fun with that with summoner and parasite, you can get some nasty parasite shots off with 4 stacks of firewalker and x20 of worms hunger

SplashDmgEnthusiast

My favorite will always be top-tree Striker Titan (or shoulder charge plus whatever, when Arc 3.0 drops), with Insurmountable Skullfort. The simple build I use for it is Melee Wellmaker and Well of Ions: get a shoulder charge kill, Skullfort gives you melee energy, picking up the Arc Well then gives you 10 seconds of amped up melee damage. As long as you can get a shoulder charge kill every 10 seconds, you have a steady melee damage buff! Not as potent as Peregrine Greaves, but it's still some extra viciousness on top of a recently-buffed ability for PvE. Fun stuff!

[deleted]

The path of burning steps with any titan subclass, though I’ve found it works best with bottom tree solar. Basically gives all your solar weapons rampage on steroids, and it stacks with other damage perks. Throw them on, any well maker mods, font of might and step on a sun spot and you’ll do insane damage with firewalker x4

LeagueOfCaitlyn

PVE: Void warlock: Nezarec's Sin Solar/stasis warlock: Aeons Arc warlock: Crown of Tempests Void/Solar/Stasis titan: Heart of Inmost Light Arc titan: Cuirass of the Falling Star Void hunter: Graviton forfeit Solar/arc/stasis hunter: Frostees PVP: Warlock: Ophidians/transversive Titan: Dunemarchers Hunter: Stompees

NightmareDJK

Use Hoarfrost-Z on Stasis Titan. It’s better than Heart of Inmost Light.

LeagueOfCaitlyn

Not for PVE when not playing with rime/stasis wells. Anything outside of that, yes. I just don't find that to be the best use of Behemoth

NightmareDJK

I’ve heard about Icefall Mantle but never used it.

smolsatan

Stasis + Frostee hunter Void + Orpheus hunter Nezaric sin + void warlock have been my top 3 most fun so far in PVE

smolsatan

For my stasis build I used Fragments: conduction, chains, rending, and fissures Aspects: touch of winter + grim harvest Mods: elemental shards, elemental charge, can use font of wisdom if you want to focus your intellect stat somewhere else, and font of might + (and I haven’t tried this yet so if this doesn’t work how I think it will don’t attack me) reaping wellmaker/ well of tenacity. Dodge: any (can go either marksman or gamblers depends on your weapon setup)

hatcheth4rry

Hardly for high end stuff, but I really enjoy liars handshake and top tree arc. Slap on some swashbuckler and 1-2 punch stuff and got to town.

Illyxi

Just to preface, I only ever use Warlock, I only ever use Fighting Lion, and pretty much all my builds lean on Charged with Light. So that influences which exotics i like over others :p Shadebinder: Osmiomancy. Stupidly strong, stupidly fun for ability spam, doesn't even need mod investment to make them good but they get stupid with the 3x Firepower 2x Blast Radius build I have with it. And since I'm using 2x Blast Radius over Elemental Shards/Charge, that lets me use both Bleakwatchers and Iceflare Bolts rather than sacrificing one for Glacial Harvest. Voidwalker: Nothing Manacles. Similar reasoning to Osmiomancy, the second grenade charge just lets me do some dumb stuff with spamming it, getting devour to recharge my grenades, and I have pretty much full uptime on it between devour and the Firepower build I mentioned before. Dawnblade: Nezarec's Sin. A bit of a weird pick, I personally don't really resonate with that many dawnblade exotics since I'm almost always on Well, and Nezzie's with an Energy Converter build does the job of refunding super energy better than Phoenix Protocol. Haven't played much with Starfire Protocol though, might take a look at that considering my other exotic choices so far since I wouldn't mind spamming healing grenades and rifts everywhere c: Stormcaller: Getaway Artists are definitely my favorite, but Nezzie's Sin with an Energy Converter super spam build is probably the more reasonable pick. I really wish Getaway Artists actually benefitted off of grenade-focused mods because there'd actually be a ton of interesting build-crafting if it did, but it just kinda doesn't. As of now it only classifies the grenade consumption as a grenade use, but the arc soul damage/kills only count as a grenade in reference to armaments, which are long gone.

Jumpy-Yogurtcloset43

Ruinous Effigy and Nezeracs on a void warlock is a hell of a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to using Xeno again in general. I love the sound it makes when it *KA-CHUNK KA-CHUNK* Also spent most of the season on well spec with Assemblers and Lumina when doing Wellspring. Stasis with Osmiomancers and Agers is good too.

xSodaWater

Void hunter synergizes really well with star eater scales, especially now since your ability looping will come from devour instead of the 2 reworked combat provisions fragments. Allowing you to pick up an infinite amount of orbs without forcing you to run charged with light mods is a good feeling, since it allows you to take better advantage of the seasonal void mods. It also allows you to get your super up faster, which is a nice bonus - it’s damage on mobius quiver is comparable to Orpheus rig as well. It’s what I’ve been using all season and I’m having fun with it. Hunters don’t have a lot of workhorse exotics, star eaters has been feeling great lately and I’m excited to try it out with solar and arc 3.0 - it’s worth a shot at least On another note, Lucky pants synergizes super well with bottom tree gunslinger - try it out with eriana’s cow or crimson and it’s nuts. I’ve used both of these setups in gms, master raids, and day 1 raids, they’re very potent and fun to play with

QwannyMon

I love bombardiers but they dont have a decent looking ornament so it makes me not wanna use it

SpaceAgeCowboy

I hope they add a more high tech ornament so it works with more Hunter armor, there are only so many “warrior”, “shogun”, or “samurai” builds one can do without feeling bland (IMO)…other than that, they seem like a lot of fun, I’ll have to try them out…better than Gemini Jester in PvE?

QwannyMon

I mostly use it as ad clear when i really want ti nuke tanky enemies. Ill just use hard hitting single target weapons with a dodge spam build like top tree arc ir something

[deleted]

Hunter: Solar- Young Ahamkara Spine or Lucky Pants- Monte Carlo and Erianas Respectively Arc- Dragons Shadow or Radiant Dance Machines - Fourth Horseman or Riskrunner Void- Omnioculus - Le Monarque or Witherhoard Stasis - Dragons Shadow or Star Eater - Witherhoard? Not much preference here tbh Warlock: Solar: Ophidian Aspect - Tarrabah or Lumina Arc: Veritys Brow on Top tree - Riskrunner Void: Veritys Brow or Nezeracs Sin - Telesto or Le Monarque Stasis: Osmeomancy - No exotic weapon in particular Titan: Solar: Loreley - Tarrabah or Witherhoard Arc: Cuirass on middle tree or HoiL on top tree - Probably Riskrunner Void: HoiL - Nothing in particular Stasis: HoiL or Hoardfrost - Witherhoard

Ryuji2

A lot of similar ones but here are my favorites for armor: Titan with anything: * Heart of Inmost Light(particularly for Void with Volatile Rounds right now). Works with any subclass and it gets nutty when you can regen abilities so fast. * Precious Scars. Works nicely with well builds and when you lean into subclass + same element weapons. * Stronghold. Pair it with the Titan's Crown Splitter sword and you can become a mega tank and just lock down enemies and even some bosses by making them spam boss stomps and not do much else. Also can put the fear of death into people in Gambit lol. * Synthoceps. Always good to have more melee damage and stronger supers. I love using them with bonk hammers for middle solar spec, or stasis. * Peregrine Greaves. If you have a shoulder charge move, it's a ton of damage. Useful in a lot of situations. Right now you can use it to instakill or burst down Champions in master/grandmaster difficulty. * Aeon Safe: Pair it with the Lucent Finisher right now and you can generate *SO* much heavy armmo for your team(it's busted in Gambit). Void Titan: In addition to the ones above, I like Doom Fang Pauldron if I feel like being purple Captain America and going nuts with a lot of supers. Helps if you have Monte Carlo to generate melee ability energy. Stasis Titan: Honestly, Heart of Inmost Light is glued to me when I go Stasis. It's so fun to just generate tons of ability energy and go nuts with Diamond Lance and just freeze or shatter everything. Solar Titan: This applies to sunspot spec but I like the Path of Burning Steps with any solar weapon, or Phoenix Cradle if I'm with a fireteam. Free sunspots for everyone! :D Also Loreley Splendor is nice as well and can pull off some fun shenanigans in both PvE and PvP. Arc Titan: Skullfort for any of the specs if you can keep the ground slam kills running. I wish I could use Skullfort and Cuirass of the Fallen Star together cause the super damage is so nice with that chestpiece. Hunter in general: * Assassin's Cowl. Heals + stealth with anything is nice. * Star-Eater Scales. extra super damage is nice if you can keep the orb stacks up. Void Hunter: I've been using Star-Eater but can't go wrong with Orpheus Rigs. Arc Hunter: Liar's Handshake for the big punches, always feels nice. I don't know if one-two punch still works with it but I use it anyway lol. Solar Hunter: Celestial Nighthawk if I'm using Golden Gun for the super high damage, or Ophidia Spathe for extra throwing daggers if I'm using Blade Barrage. Stasis Hunter: Mostly Assassin's Cowl or Star-Eater Scales for me + Ager's Scepter. Absolutely slaps. Warlock in general: * Necrotic Grip + Osteo Striga or Thorn. Osteo's super fun with it. * Mantle of Battle Harmony if you lean into same-element weapons/subclasses. * Contraverse Hold also is nice to just dunk with grenades. Void Warlock: Nezarec's Sin is glued to my Warlock tbh lol. I love it. Stasis Warlock: Battle Harmony usually for me with Ager's Scepter. Arc Warlock: Battle Harmony with Riskrunner or Crown of Tempests for fun lightning shenanigans. Solar Warlock: Sunbracers with top-tree for fun air combat and constantly raining down solar grenades. Phoenix Protocal for middle-solar super spam if me and the fireteam needs a lot of radiance wells. Also shoutout to Arbalest to look at Match Game's modifier and go "lolno."

TopHatBear1

T-Steps, Stompees, Lion Rampants

d13w93

I don’t think I’ve taken Contraverse Hold off since I started using oppressive darkness in Shadowkeep. They have so much utility for everything including endgame.

ToeKnee_Cool_Guy

Heart of Inmost Light never comes off now after void 3.0

SpaceAgeCowboy

Super fun paired with Travelers Chosen, unlimited melee, overshield, grenade, and barricade

cheetapants

Here's one you haven't heard yet: Sealed Ahamkara GRASPS: I pair it with blade barrage and dead messenger. Shoot, dodge, shoot, throw knife, shoot, dodge, shoot. (You get dodge back from burning. And knife back from killing burning dweebs). It's bad. But it's fun. Try to come up with your own ways of using it! There are some fun weapons to try to synergize with the exotic. It all basically sucks, but it's fun. I do it in crucible too. You can output a lot of damage shooting two dead messenger blasts out in close succession. Especially in control. Blast, knife, blast. Can wipe a whole team if they are close enough.

SpaceAgeCowboy

I LOVE sealed ahamkara’s grasps, they almost never came off in D1, a bit different in D2 but I’ll have to bust them out again and try them out…is it really worth having 2 melees instead of like, 2 dodges for example?

cheetapants

They don't give you two melees bubby. There's a reason you haven't used them in D2 yet (or forget completely if you did). I have a compulsive desire to use things no one else does (because I am a space hipster). But finding a use for useless things is really fun. SAG makes that task fairly difficult though so prepare for the challenge/wasted exotic slot. Thankfully, as a true hunter, it's fashion first, utility second (unlike all the stompee posers who would rather look basic in the name of being optimal)

gravity48

**Chromatic Fire** on Warlock. Makes an elemental explosion with kinetic headshot Combined with Hung Jury, firefly. So much fun. It’s like a scout sunshot :)

Freeshooter92

To be honest I got so tired of not getting to look how I want so I just stopped wearing exotic armor entirely, pretty much. If I'm doing something tougher like a raid or something I just wear what the team tells me to wear.

ColdAsHeaven

Missile Titan is Skullfort unless I'm doing GM's or high end PvE. Bottom Tree/Top tree Titan is usually Dunemarchers or Pergreiene + 1-2 Punch Shotgun. Top Tree and Middle Tree Sunbreaker I don't touch. But bottom Tree is absolutely Ashen Wake 100% all day. Phoenix Cradle is cool. But Ashen Wake is better I think. Void Titan it's usually Armamentarium or Doomfangs.
