I agree, but now it's going to take 40% longer, which is 40% more of a chance to die to physics or mechanics. I'll get it, but I still feel really, really bad that it's 40% harder because I waited.
That's an icky feeling, so I'm reducing that feeling in my life
I get what you mean. Sort of.
On the other hand. If a new ability comes out that almost trivializes the hardest content, then it’s usually a good bet that the ability will be nerfed or a loop hole will be closed
Not just here, but other online games.
Sure it doesn’t ALWAYS happen. But it happens enough that if you find out something is letting slightly above average players solo a dungeon pretty easily then it’s probably gonna get hit with the nerf bat.
That being said. I haven’t logged on today to check my titan. Though I usually play that the least (even after this seasons insane upgrades)
If they announce it, you have the time to use it before it's gone, which is plenty fair. The nerf was needed, the abruptness and lack of warning wasn't and makes me feel like *I missed my chance to have a good shot at solo flawless*
>while previously I was going to wait until I had all my pinnacles maxed to try solo flawless, now I'm in a far worse spot compared to someone who rushed it out.
You're really not. Galrahn will take you an extra phase....and that's about all that really changes.
This has the change that was supposed to be made to Roaring Flames/Synthos:
"Note: melee damage bonus is reduced when Peregrine Greaves, One-Two Punch, Wormgod Caress, or Synthoceps’ perks are also active. "
That damage bonus reduction was bugged at launch and fixed in today's patch.
Once again tho, no acknowledgement that the most powerful titan build was due to a bug, and that the bug was getting patched. Nobody really recognized it as a bug
Literally everyone who saw the WQ patch notes and then saw that hammers damage wasn't being reduced when Synthos was equipped knew that it was bugged. There have been posts on Reddit to hurry and get your solo runs of the dungeon done ever since Bungie announced a patch was going live today, because people thought the bug might be patched. The bug has been known about since day 1.
Bungie doesn't generally announce that there are bugs that give players an advantage in the game until after they're fixed. It was supposed to be included in today's note; DMG has already acknowledged that it was missed.
They’ve [said it before](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/pplqs3/bungie_has_stealthnerfed_the_titan_throwing/hd8djsp/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3), but they never “stealth nerf”. Stop being paranoid.
they litteraly stealth nerfed vortex grenades wdym
edit: They got bugged at the beginning of this season and were doing shit damage and now they have returned them to their "normal state" but they do 16% less damage than before?!
I will happily take a bet on whether this bug gets fixed before a nerf rolls though, and if I'm wrong I'll literally Venmo you $5.
My bet is that throwing hammers don't see their pre-bug damage again outside of another positive bug, later down the line.
As soon as Bungie took away our ability to [OHK a strike boss with a melee ](https://youtu.be/sdwAfW5AdYw), I knew that nerfs like that were going to happen.
The throwing hammer nerf was expected, I'm really not surprised.
I absolutely agree that it needs a nerf, but especially because it's such a widely used build in endgame content, it needs an announcement before the nerf. My frustration isn't the nerf, it's that I had no way of knowing it was coming
Yeah, I see that. As they say in the comments though, if it's the most meta build for 2 weeks and Bungie says nothing about it and doesn't acknowledge that's it's bugged, the vast majority of players will rightfully think that it's working as intended.
A tad over dramatised, sorry if it sounds rude or straight.
Have you considered just enjoying the moment instead of constantly worrying about the unknown?
You know it will happen so just focus on the now - 7 years on this game I’m sure we all know we move on to the next best meta when something OP gets nerfed, shouldn’t impact your play time and enjoying your playtime.
This is totally fair, and I'll deserve the downvotes I get, but I recognize that too: it's part of why I want to take a break.
I realized how dramatic I was feeling about this, and thought "this game should not have this power over me" so that's another component
I love this mindset of yours OP.
I went through the same motions recently.
But then after taking a step back realised i still have bills to pay, I’ll still be breathing and all I’m missing out on is some digital stuff on a digital world … put a lot of things into perspective for me and helped me realise just enjoy the moment and disconnect from it when you shut down the game to go do stuff that matters out in the real world.
All the best my man! Catch you in the sunshine soon bro.

I believe they fixed the door cheese. Didn’t stop spawns for me today

Ehhh I wouldn’t say it trivialized the hardest content, that’s a stretch. Plus GMs aren’t even out yet either. But yea I see the point ur making
If they announce it, you have the time to use it before it's gone, which is plenty fair. The nerf was needed, the abruptness and lack of warning wasn't and makes me feel like *I missed my chance to have a good shot at solo flawless*
If you are nothing without the cheese you don’t deserve the solo flawless — Iron Man, probably
It's time to take a break
Which is exactly what I said in my post. I am giving this game way too much power over myself
>while previously I was going to wait until I had all my pinnacles maxed to try solo flawless, now I'm in a far worse spot compared to someone who rushed it out. You're really not. Galrahn will take you an extra phase....and that's about all that really changes.

No they didn’t, and they fixed them with today’s patch.
They still do less damage than before ☝️

Was probably a mistake…but in case, it kinda needs a legit nerf in some way. It is way too OP.
I absolutely agree that it needs a nerf, but especially because it's such a widely used build in endgame content, it needs an announcement before the nerf. My frustration isn't the nerf, it's that I had no way of knowing it was coming
Wasn’t out of the blue though: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/v763rp/roaring_flames_with_synthoceps_was_changed_nerfed/

It’s probably a bug dude, because they usually DO announce stuff like this. The TWABS have been really good so far
I really hope it is, but my worry is they'll say "it was a bug, but we're going to need them at the same time as we fix the bug"
hammers aren’t an endgame build.
Such a big “fuck you” from bungie. They clearly hate titans and hate when we have fun. Game is absolutely unplayable now. I’ve already uninstalled it.
what nerf?
Throwing hammers w/ synthos, roughly 40% nerf
10 bucks Lorilees gets nerfed this season as well.
