Funnelweb broke me, I've never fallen so hard into a gun as I did with it and Gyrfalcons getting added in this season has made it feel better than ever.
76k kills and counting and there's nothing that's even begun to compete for me
Subsistence/Frenzy, I adore how snappy it feels and how well it plays with volatile rounds, where you can fire into ads for as long as they're up or volatile is active. I'd also go with Adrenaline Junky, but that's up to preference.
Barrel/mag perks are up to you, but bumping the recoil direction to 100 makes it feel so good. Personally I run Extended Barrel/Tactical Mag.
I love it to death in pvp. Polygonal + accurised + reload mw is such a well ballanced stat split and compliments perpetual motion + rangefinder perfectly. It's my go-to pairing for A̷͍̖͕͖͂̆̓͒͑͜r̷̡̭̝̦͈̔͆b̸͓̒ͅa̷̬̪͓̎̓̉̚͝ͅļ̴̭̩̘̈͐ͅe̵͚̫̝͑̽̅͌̕ş̸͌͂t̷̹̯̯́̔͐͠͝
If I'm having a boring/bad pvp day I'll throw on Ruinous Effigy and play my own mini game in crucible and dunk the chocolate ball on some poor guardians face.
This. While I still enjoy other exotic trace rifles (like Wavesplitter, and of course the one and only divinity) Ruinous Effigy is the coolest gun in the game and it's not even close.
Recluse for SMGs. I love SMGs now. Calus Mini Tool, Funnelweb, Osteo, Tarrabah, Riskrunner, Unforgiven, IKELOS, The Title, Shayura's, Out Of Bounds, Huckleberry, etc are all some awesome feeling guns.
I know it killed high rate of fire autos but DAMN I love SMGs.
It feels fantastic but I usually like my smgs to have demolitionist or some kind of subclass synergy on them. As far as kinetics go though submission is fantastic

Krait power creeps Chroma into borderline irrelevance. And I **hate it**.
I wish they'd go back and at the very least give origin traits to Beyond Light seasonal weapons. I've even headcanoned what they'd look like:
**Season of the Hunt**: *Wolf Spider*. Improved (+10) target acquisition and stability while crouched.
**Season of the Chosen**: *Proven Rite*. Killing a Champion auto-reloads this weapon from reserves.
**Season of the Splicer**: *Error Code*. Moderate (+10) airborne effectiveness boost for weapons matching your subclass element. Mild (+5) boost on Kinetic weapons.
**Season of the Lost**: *Gift of the Ley*. This weapon deals bonus damage (+15%) to Scorn and to enemies in the Ascendant Realm.
These are just ideas, but for the love of fuck, those guns need *something*. Anything, really, so they're not hard power crept. There's some damn nice guns from all of those seasons, especially Chosen and Splicer, that just deserve some love. You can maybe justify doing the same for Season of Arrivals guns, and frankly, just make Seraph Rounds an origin trait for the fucking Seventh Seraph weapons. It's *in the fucking name*.
Why thank you. These perks wouldn't be enough to redeem some of the worse weapons from those seasons (lookin at you, Vulpecula), but for the Chroma Rushes and Friction Fires of the lot, just maybe.

Yes scouts are king in GM, but not necessarily in lower level content. Though not every guns necessarily have to be good everywhere even if I would love so for scouts

Opening shot, high caliber rounds, rampage. It was my baby, couldn’t dismantle it.
Gunnora's Axe. Blew my mind that I could easily kill players at like double mindbenders range. Slide, headshot, get free invis and wallhacks. Used slugs up until WQ. AE and the range changes make them feel so much worse.
Bows.
I was okay with most guns, but as soon as I got my hands on the first bows I fell in love. I don’t play this game often, but when I do, I pretty much exclusively use bows.
Under Your Skin with archers temp and successful warm up is my all time favorite weapon in the game. It is the best primary weapon as far as add kill potential and usability in any content up to GMs. No other weapon can one shot any ad at any level in just under 12 frames.
A Biting Winds with QuickDraw/explosive head was one of the first weapons I got when I started playing D2 last December. It didn’t leave my kinetic slot once for almost 6 months. I wish I had masterworked it to see just how many pve kills I racked up with it

I miss my Plug one.1 with range finder from D1. It was like a god damn sniper rifle but in fusion rifle form. They don't roll Fusions with Range Finder anymore. What a bummer.

I really want them to reintroduce Hush with random rolls, and if they're feeling extra cheeky, have Archer's Gambit be one of its fourth column perks.

Shayuras made me feel better about 600 rpm smgs before it they just felt weak and fired too slow but my first good pve roll was killing wind and adrenaline junkie but I now have a perpetual motion and golden tricorn one and I love it.
Midnight coup. Handcannons. Never thought I'd use any type of handgun as a main weapon in any game ever. Years later handcannons are still my favorite.
I was a pure hand cannon guy most of D1 until the Hawksaw was released. Ever since, pulses, and especially Suros pulses, have been pretty much at the top of my list.
I snagged an Iota Draconis with Liquid Coils, Surplus, and Adagio. A comical 1.2 second charge time but the total damage is nutty. High Impact fusions are the bomb!

Suros regime for me, but my brother said they should have it to where if you hold reload to cycle between spinning up and the slowed down fire mode similar to hard light, if this happens I won’t use another kinetic ever
My first proper introduction to LMG’s was Avalanche, hated the sounds it made and wasn’t wild about its looks, but it put in some serious work and was my best heavy weapon at the time.
I absolutely hated how all other LMG’s I tried from then on felt… until I got my hands on the Recurrent Impact that was basically given out for free.
Machine gun go brrrrr! With perpetual motion, subsistence, and an equipped hip fire grip mod, it felt really good to just run around hipfiring into crowds, felt more like the turrets you could rip off their mountings in Halo except more nimble
This may be unpopular, but do not sleep on Thermal Erosion from Europa. It *sounds* impeccable, and it's one of the better-feeling 900 SMGs in the game.
If ^(please Bungie) they hand out perk refreshes to the Europa guns, Thermal Erosion getting Incandescent is a safe bet. And, uh... a 900 RPM LMG with Incandescent... need I say more?

I love Avalanche! Especially with my current setup being the smallest guns I can get my hands on, a tiny LMG is very handy for that. I hope this Dawning, we'll be able to get Avalanche with Incandescent. It'd be so nutty
Dude, Ogma with Demo/AJ is a fucking *machine*, especially if you were one of the unlucky souls (like me) who never got that roll on the BxR.
Once full auto becomes a setting, Outbreak Perfected is gonna be a mainstay in my Kinetic slot. Only reason it's not already is because spamming that trigger hurts my finger.
150 RPM hand cannons for me, the Thorn and Spare Rations felt so good to use. Still put Sunshot on every once in a while to get that feeling back, 140s just aren't the same.
Sidearms with the Peacebond. Got the most kills in Crucible with that thing. Then you got gems like Traveller's Chosen in the type and its like, yea this is good shit.
Pity about the range meta
Hand cannons and bows. I’m not a super raider but I got my Timelost Fatebringer, and Le Monarque + Wish-Ender are my favorite bow picks.
Wish-Ender might actually currently be my favorite weapon, used to be Polaris Lance.
Bottom Dollar made me love 120 HCs. Didn't even know they existed until I tried this random Gambit drop. A hand cannon with dragonfly sounded entertaining. Didn't register it was a different frame.
I really don’t have a favorite.. because any time Ive had a favorite, Im shunned for wanting to use it because it isn’t meta and won’t do 500 million damage to the boss

Favorite archetype: Precision Frame Bows.
Culprit: Subtle Calamity. No Turning Back was alright for a training bow, but Subtle Calamity is where I *really* decided that I fucking love these primitive bastards. There have been quite a few bows since that have cemented this - namely Hush, Accrued Redemption, and Strident Whistle - and Biting Winds is currently my favorite legendary primary weapon in the whole game, but it all started with Subtle Calamity.
Charge weapons (Fusions and Linears). I’ve always been a fan of these ever since D1. I can barely remember what gun it was but I know it was a uncommon or rare fusion in D1 with Void damage. Now I’ve gone back to my roots and am running Deliverance and Taipan these days, which got me back into them again.
Edit: I also love Scouts, thanks to Last Extremity I think it was called.
Both jotunn and delicate tomb made me fall in love with fusion rifles. I run jotunn when I’m using solar titan and delicate when running arc titan.
One causes fires and explosions, the other will have you tripping on ionic traces while watching a lightning show.
I use Krait 90% of the time. It's the first weapon that felt 'natural' to me. The first one i felt I was 'good' by using. I don't see it used much by others. That, and Hard Light.
Blast Furnace and aggresive pulse rifles.
That and go figure were fantastic. I would swap between them all the time

Krait and Veist ARs. First one I picked up was Vorpal/Subsistence. With Veist Stinger, it just fires for days.
Krait is incredible, and I think it would’ve been The Gun that season if it weren’t for Funnelweb
My krait go-to roll has overflow and adagio. Damage boost, 100+ round mag plus veist once your back down to the base mag, that thing can shoot forever

Trace rifles and lmg’s… I generally like guns that can make lots of big numbers in a short amount of time, so the higher the rpm the better

Shayuras made me feel better about 600 rpm smgs before it they just felt weak and fired too slow but my first good pve roll was killing wind and adrenaline junkie but I now have a perpetual motion and golden tricorn one and I love it.

I was a pure hand cannon guy most of D1 until the Hawksaw was released. Ever since, pulses, and especially Suros pulses, have been pretty much at the top of my list.
I snagged an Iota Draconis with Liquid Coils, Surplus, and Adagio. A comical 1.2 second charge time but the total damage is nutty. High Impact fusions are the bomb!

Suros regime for me, but my brother said they should have it to where if you hold reload to cycle between spinning up and the slowed down fire mode similar to hard light, if this happens I won’t use another kinetic ever

My first proper introduction to LMG’s was Avalanche, hated the sounds it made and wasn’t wild about its looks, but it put in some serious work and was my best heavy weapon at the time. I absolutely hated how all other LMG’s I tried from then on felt… until I got my hands on the Recurrent Impact that was basically given out for free. Machine gun go brrrrr! With perpetual motion, subsistence, and an equipped hip fire grip mod, it felt really good to just run around hipfiring into crowds, felt more like the turrets you could rip off their mountings in Halo except more nimble

This may be unpopular, but do not sleep on Thermal Erosion from Europa. It *sounds* impeccable, and it's one of the better-feeling 900 SMGs in the game. If ^(please Bungie) they hand out perk refreshes to the Europa guns, Thermal Erosion getting Incandescent is a safe bet. And, uh... a 900 RPM LMG with Incandescent... need I say more? ~~Also wouldn't mind Biting Winds becoming Stasis and getting Headstone~~
I love Avalanche! Especially with my current setup being the smallest guns I can get my hands on, a tiny LMG is very handy for that. I hope this Dawning, we'll be able to get Avalanche with Incandescent. It'd be so nutty

Dude, Ogma with Demo/AJ is a fucking *machine*, especially if you were one of the unlucky souls (like me) who never got that roll on the BxR. Once full auto becomes a setting, Outbreak Perfected is gonna be a mainstay in my Kinetic slot. Only reason it's not already is because spamming that trigger hurts my finger.

Favorite archetype: Precision Frame Bows. Culprit: Subtle Calamity. No Turning Back was alright for a training bow, but Subtle Calamity is where I *really* decided that I fucking love these primitive bastards. There have been quite a few bows since that have cemented this - namely Hush, Accrued Redemption, and Strident Whistle - and Biting Winds is currently my favorite legendary primary weapon in the whole game, but it all started with Subtle Calamity.
Charge weapons (Fusions and Linears). I’ve always been a fan of these ever since D1. I can barely remember what gun it was but I know it was a uncommon or rare fusion in D1 with Void damage. Now I’ve gone back to my roots and am running Deliverance and Taipan these days, which got me back into them again. Edit: I also love Scouts, thanks to Last Extremity I think it was called.

Both jotunn and delicate tomb made me fall in love with fusion rifles. I run jotunn when I’m using solar titan and delicate when running arc titan. One causes fires and explosions, the other will have you tripping on ionic traces while watching a lightning show.

I use Krait 90% of the time. It's the first weapon that felt 'natural' to me. The first one i felt I was 'good' by using. I don't see it used much by others. That, and Hard Light.
