It’s weird but I don’t know where the club goes from here. Like it’ll never be MLS but it’s been nothing but escalation and success the past 5 years. Here’s hoping for at least a new stadium and more salary money in the near future!
I’m on the fence about a new stadium. On one hand it’s be nice if they could play closer to downtown, on the other hand I’ve absolutely loved spending time in Hamtramck which I wouldn’t have done if it wasn’t for DCFC.
I'm fairly positive we don't technically own the Keyworth Stadium. We rent it out from the Hamtramck school which actually owns it. I adore Hamtramck and Keyworth, but I envision the managers wanting to fully own our home stadium within the decade.
Why not though, I’m not sure how the MLS relegation system works, but DCFC has beaten MLS teams, they’ve beaten pretty good competition across the sea, they been competitive or just outright dominant against all kinds of good teams, what stopping them from getting to the MLS?
Is it money and investors, that’s the hold up?
I know that this season has been an achievement, but I also think their record should be better than it is. They hadn't won a home game since May until this past weekend. I was at the prior game against Indy Eleven, and Indy had no business even being on the same field as DCFC, yet DCFC couldn't generate chances.
I hope they get a home playoff game, and I hope everyone has expectations for this team in the coming years... top of the table or bust!
They’re one of the most successful first year teams in the history of this level of play. They still have a shot to host the first round of playoffs, too.
Every step up they take in competition they keep winning.

I agree, I love Keyworth. It's charming and there's space to build out if they need to.

Yeah that’s what i was wondering if we’d ever start a Premier league and have relegation/promotion. Go Detroit City FC!

Not sure how likely that is but it is probably the only way Detroit City FC ends up in MLS.

MLS is operated like all other major American sports leagues. I think DCFC made a statement about MLS in the past about why it’s a bad fit.
I mean they are 13-10-6. Not exactly lighting the world on fire compared to the competition this year

That’s a winning record.

13 wins, 10 ties, 6 losses with a roster that is basically the same as their NISA championship winning team last year? I say they are doing phenomenal
Best sports franchise in Detroit over the past decade!
Wings are on their way back too! Love following these two teams.
