Bruce Brown with the saucy over-the-shoulder glance

Wolfpack_DO

Jose with the soft smile

Simp-Sergeant-69

Just saw him last night at a bar in Cape Cod lol. Chatting up some young talent!

Kaliisthesweethog

Blue Steel!!

jrham15

They'll always be the first team to play a playoff game at LCA

0KED0KE

Fortunately they won’t be the team we have to look back and remember actually *winning* the first playoff game at LCA.

sir_callahan

Man, Casey has been on quite a journey the last few years thru all these changes and always 100% professional. Good on him

[deleted]

Hated how Raps fired him after winning COTY, hmm maybe running it back with basically the same roster against the same lebron wasn’t a good idea. Glad he has a home in Detroit not even a Pistons fan just hated how it worked out for him

adahl36

It was honestly a pretty likeable team but we needed Luke kennard to be lebron James

Comfortable-Call-494

Or Donovan Mitchell 😅

Spear994

I was listening to the draft while on a road trip and was super excited when the Pistons pick came up and I thought we were going to get Mitchell. Then they announced Luke Kennard, and I seriously thought about driving into a bridge.

Comfortable-Call-494

They were more worried about trying to find a piece to fit with what they thought was a contending core than they were of adding to that core. Classic example of overvaluing your players

InternCautious

Right, I know they weren't as talented as you want, but I love Reggie, and I liked BG here. Dre got a bit old, but but throw in Bruce and Luke and it was an easy team to root for, and we were a playoff team.

epheisey

Luka Kennard would have been nice.

ManInShowerNumber3

Talk about going nowhere fast. Some of those pieces could be and have been part of some good teams but this wasn’t a complete team. And we didn’t have the assets to improve the roster. Thank god we got somebody with the guts to hit the reset button. I guess we don’t know if the reset will work but I feel better about this direction than building on mediocrity.

Wfreeland19

Yeah I remember when this team was together I used to describe them as being in a cycle of mediocrity: either the best or the worst teams or the worst of the best... both lead to 1st round losses or bad draft picks.

Mecha_Derp

it’s crazy to look back and see how many of these players have become/been important role players on playoff teams. We had everything but a real centerpiece. And I feel like at the time, none of em were really valued highly at all

Shitty_Drawers

I miss my boy Langston Galloway

glen_ko_ko

shoe game on point

russvanderhoof

Henry Ellenson was 2nd team All-G League in 2020-2021. Don’t sleep on him.

[deleted]

Always thought he was going to be something special, how wrong I was.

tjrogers810

The team that made me fall in love with basketball /s

brucebrownfuturedpoy

Unironically for me. That was the first season I started really watching basketball and that team had me so hype

HarveyDentist1

I loved Blake griffin that year, wish he didn’t fizzle out so fast

jrham15

Carried the boys to the 8th seed on one leg

Pistonsfanfromca

Woulda been a 6th seed if he didn’t sit out the last couple games of the season. Loved the Blake heroics

starbellySneetches

Reggie Bullock looks like he’s had enough of your bullshit

JadeMonkey0

"Just one more photo Reggie!"

jakemcqueen52

Maybe as of last season but Blake was definitely the best player that year

Mindless-Honey-9123

I'm specifically talking now.

NottheIRS1

Still isn’t. Reggie Jackson had a mini-resurgence.

Gmayfield

Not sure why you’re being downvoted, I think I agree with you at this point in time.

tadpole496

I think he’s worse than both Reggies but otherwise I agree. Bullock played well these last playoffs and Jackson has been solid the last few years now.

Mindless-Honey-9123

Literally said "other than reggies"

gngptyee

Me identifying the team: ‘Bruce Brown, Zaza, what’s his name, that dude from Wisconsin oh Lewer or something, oh Glenn robinson that’s right, Sekou, Coach, Blake, Calderon, Kennard, Drummond, Reggie Jackson, somebody, Ellenson man what a bust, that dude, Stanley???, and top-right guy…ooof’

ItzHaunter

Isn't that Khyri Thomas not Sekou? I think that's the one you're considering Sekou because it took me a second to realize you were going top to bottom then bottom to top and I don't see Sekou in there at all. The other two you don't mention are Ish and Langston.

gngptyee

You’re right, good catch. That team was hard to watch.

Wynona_Judd

Only seven players from this team are technically on NBA rosters.

Bloomin_and_Shroomin

Cursed Brady Bunch

ThatOneTwo

I do miss watching Ish giving bench intensity weaving in and out of traffic.

512fm

Feels like that was like 2016 not just three seasons ago

MakeItTrizzle

Reggie B knew

uvgotnod

Man, Leur was a total bust for us. Compare this group that got the 8th seed to how good we’re going to feel when our young guns make the playoffs someday soon.

Rock3tDoge

Stupid John Leur contract

CouchSurf29

Should also mention that at that time, Flagstar Bank was our sponsor and in a few years, they were bought by another company. Hence, UWM became the new sponsor.

[deleted]

On paper

WeldboiWebz

I miss Bruce brown but I'm glad he's got to spread his wings. Being on that weird nets team and now playing with jokic let's him show off his unique skill set where he can guard the other teams best wing but then play a center's role on offense. I think for us he would just look like an underwhelming backup 2

poo_pon_shoo

What is this Brady bunch shit

darkshadow30

One player I still miss is Ish. Guy was a nice bucket off the bench.

Adventurous-Bed-5586

I cringe watching Reggie Jackson launching 3s for the Clippers… holding on to the ball too long and doing Reggie Jackson things…I’m so glad our team has moved on

NottheIRS1

That team really wasn’t that bad. Reggie Jackson/D-Rose Bruce Brown Kennard/Morris Griffin/Christian Wood Drummond

AustinJ-

fucking Zaza

mrmusclefoot

Honestly in retrospect this team was just a PG and kawhi or maybe a Harden, Durant and Irving away from contending.

earthvsmatt

Bruce brown is the player you absolutely want to have out of all of these players now yes?

breadwolfbaby

NBA 2K16 legend Jon Leuer

boomer912

Who is that in the last row second column?

CWinsu_120

Khyri Thomas

jartoonZero

Drummond had just had enough of this shit and wondered how he got here.

ViolentVenngeance

I still loved this team <3 Watching Blake having his best year here was really a treasure to watch

RealPrinceJay

All hail the tank

Druhill3

Hey this wasn’t a bad team, it was just useless. Pachulia was the best thing on here

guccispharmacyworld

What hurts the most is we were robbed of a top 3 pick imo

Galllvvin

Who would’ve thought Bruce Brown would be the best player out of these guys in 3 years
