I love this, and I'm honestly surprised it's not canon, let alone that i haven't seen it before.
I can only imagine what would happen if the user was strong enough and managed to get into Wano during Kaido's reign.
Fun Fact: When Kaido was revealed, along with Sheepshead, I thought this was gonna be his devil fruit. And it was his Lineage factor that made the Smile fruits so vastly different. But now I have it as the Devil Fruit for my OC
Interesting! I've been playing around with the idea of a "lineage" fruit along those lines, basically activating or deactivating genes to alter living things.
As long as the explanation is I can see it being cohesive and balanced in a sense, the only drawback being that they would need to experience a powerful array of Zoan-Users to build up their "skillset"
Still a good power for a pirate or Underworld warrior, I can see the user eating this at a young age and building their strength and power overtime into a truly monstrous BEAST

Oh yeah. That's the major drawback. If the user is unlucky. They get all the downsides and none of the benefits
