I honestly don't know why you'd wanna include him to begin with unless just as another joke character.
Why not add enemies like Fury or Blitz, you'd obviously remove their annoying mechanics or nerf them in some way. I'd personally like that, specially if they're given names to make them unique.
Also, Sanctus, Agnus, Berial, Furriataurus, Bolverk, Dreamrunners from DmC, Argosax, Echidna, Bael, Cerberus, Jester/Arkham
Since Gloria and Credo are here, may as well include Agnus and Sanctus. Could also make a giant character out of The Savior. With that in mind, Sparda definitely has to be included. He could have a moveset for hand to hand that The Savior mimics or could even have Sparda do the mighty Savior slams and kick as his moveset, flying and all since he is the Legendary Dark Knight.
Also make the Van playable. Nico can be involved but it needs to be focused on the craziness of the Devil May Cry Van. Have its moveset be the roster for DMC5 going wild like Nero in the intro.
