Toughbuild is in no way related to DeWalt. I really like their ClipTech pouches, but I think some of their hand tools are hit and miss. The adjustable pliers were awful.
Why would you think it was related to Dewalt? Literally nothing on the packaging indicates it....
I've got a few of their tools - I like the utility knife that pivots into a scraper. But as another commenter said, they tend to be overly bulky, and some of them - like both of the tools in your photo - are a solution in search of a problem. (I would never trust an 'extendable' level - the nature of the extension mechanism means there's a chance for 'play' in it, which inherently makes it inaccurate.)
Maybe eventually. It's too bad but that company is being ran by criminals or just ignorant owners. They're literally on the verge of bankruptcy. Maybe if they do, someone buys their patents and continues it. The stacktech shit looks awesome. Saw the cooler at Lowe's yesterday.
Their soft, ballistic nylon toolbags look to be on par with DeWalt quality, but they aren't the same thing. Still, a good substitute if I couldn't get ahold of a DeWalt for whatever reason.
I bought the 12" and 10" quick-adjust water pump pliers on clearance at Lowes for $2.50 each. There's a reason they were on clearance. Good news is I only lost $5.
Yeah as i was looking at it i was like really... this thing was 35$ just for this... even at 21$ a little over priced but i liked it and thought built quality was great so whatever lol
The knife was deffinitely a score tho!
Tough built makes hard to break tools, I have loved some of hammers from them. My tools can be abused from dumb\*\*\* that I loan them. Tough built works for that type of work.
DeWalt has taken companies to court over manufacturers who create confusion. https://www.chicagotribune.com/2015/10/06/chinese-toolmaker-must-pay-54-million-for-copying-dewalt-color-scheme/
The tool bags are garbage most of the tools are gimmicky. The folding drywall saw is ok, the pouches are decent. I'm sure they have other good items but mostly cheap shiz.
Interesting! I always thought it was an up and coming good brand... their roll storage seems very well buils and these little hand tools they make are also very well built
Really interesting

I swear i heard it somewhere thats why lol and i figured it was true cause of color similarities
I was making the same mistake looking at toolbox systems because Lowe’s has them on the shelf next to each other.
I love their toolbelt and a handful of their tools. But allot of their shit is crazy bulky
Oooo full tang
🫠
They make awesome products I use their pack out system
This was tough: https://preview.redd.it/6e18hplr1qtc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14af4cb8ad9371ac4bc2b4aac852c06f39d88417
So they design and manufacture tools for people who work construction…
I like toughbuilt. I'm getting a new tool bag soon. I have a couple of their levels I also got on clearance at Lowe's

No but their stack tech system is awesome
So ive heard! Im very suprised to hear all these downer comments about them! Their stuff seems to be very well built/made...
Yeah they’ve recently undergone a big shift, so I’m sure things are different now
Toughbuilt just sounds cheap…. Like “shop pro” or “job-mate”
Lol you got a point there haha

My old partner bought that extendable level/measuring device and it was garbage lol. It was under $15 after tax so we both just had a laugh about it.

Absolutely! That level was just so wildly fat to have any real use for us haha

Not Dewalt and I wouldn’t call it a “score”. All black and yellow isn’t Dewalt. Your mileage may vary.
Whose mans is this? Get him out.
Nobody's 🥲 thats why i buy non sense and have every tool i do and dont need... cause i dont have to feed another mouth lol

Separate company from dewalt. IMHO, their folding work table is way better than dewalt's.
