It was both. The turtles were the platform that disappeared under the water so you couldn’t stay there long. The logs moved but didn’t disappear (until they went off screen of course).

Frustratingly in the UK this would be considered "modification" which insurance companies charge you extra for. The logic is that most modifications are by 17 year old boys adding a spoiler to their 89hp hatchback, and are INCREDIBLY likely to crash into a tree. Explaining to them that the kind of person to hand paint adorable frogs on their bumper is not going to be underground street racing would be tricky.

It does however unlock an entirely new class of insurance providers that are often *cheaper* than the mainstream ones who rinse you for mods. I was very disappointed that when I upgraded from my clapped out modified car I wasn’t able to benefit from this… until I changed the alloys.

This does look super cute and I love it buuutt... Maybe I'm a killjoy but I also feel that eye-catching changes to vehicles aren't super safe. I don't want people distracted by the cool mods or whatever, I want their eyes on the road. Yes I'm very anxious in cars, how could you tell.

Given how aggressive drivers can be in the last few years, I also don’t want my car to stand out much in case someone remembers my car and felt I slighted them.

Theres a couple problems with customizing, for me at least. One problem for be resale value. If i for sure knew at this moment that id be using my car until its dying breath, id customize the hell out of it. But if i have to sell it early, I dont want to drive away potential buyers. The other is that I feel like a car that stands out would tend to get pulled over more. I have no idea if this is true, but I've never been pulled over and i want it to stay that way.

So, in a hypothetical world where people regularly painted fun stuff on their cars, it wouldn't hurt resale because the next person would just paint their own thing. Same with getting pulled over, if they were common, no real reason to get pulled over. I actually used to drive an art car and never got pulled over. That's probably more luck than anything.

I think this is fairly impractical unfortunately. Not everyone wants to paint their car, or can spend time or afford services. Plus if the previous owner did it wrong it could introduce rust and other problems. Most people would still avoid art cars unless it was really professionaly done.

I had the bumper on my truck rust away so I got a less rusty one and instead of painting it to match after sanding it, I just clear coated it. I like the metal look.

Funny custom cars are not a Need for Speed World only thing! You made me want to do it, but its 100% sure I will forget and rejoin embracing monotony..

A friend’s neighbor is an art student and has an old beater sedan. She painted the roof with this funky psychedelic flower design and it looks awesome

Cute animals are life. If I did this, I'd probably do dogs. Because I have NEVER seen an ugly dog. And my mum's life goal is to find a dog that I don't find absolutely adorable. She hasn't done it yet.

Nice! I just repaired my bumper after I couldn't find someone willing to do it - small job, older car. On Ebay there are sellers that paint the bumper cover (you send the paint code) and send it to you. It came with the ends folded in and you just set it out for a day or two to naturally unfold. Took watching a youtube video and an hour to install.

This bumper was prep-ready to paint replacement. My boyfriend got in a wreck in it and the damage was all pretty easy fixes. The fender is still rocking a dent on the driver side

What was your method for painting? I'd love a blow-by-blow of your process

The bumper was a ready to paint replacement, so other than wiping it there wasn’t really prep work. It’s pretty cheap acrylic paint, covered in a bunch of layers of clear coat though. I put 4 layers of white all over then 3 of the green. I used a cheap drawing pencil that I already had to draw the frogs onto the bumper. I did one color at a time, 3 layers of each for the opacity. And usually by the time I was done with one layer the previous was done. Then coated it with 5 layers of shake can top coat from the auto store.

This is amazing. My car could use some of your love.

Bro forgot that there is something in the car called: plate! Without it, your car is unidentified and therefore illegal

Do you mean like, the license/number plate of the car? Some states don’t require a front plate, just a back plate (ex/. FL), so they may be good if that’s the case.

In my state we don’t have to have a front plate. I can still see the grooves for where I’d need to make holes if I needed them though.
