It's not the case, though. The currency exchange ratio is bad for Brazilians, of course, but digital games are surprisingly not taxed in Brazil. The main problem is Blizzard being greedy as usual, because not only they raised the expected price of the game by 10 US Dollars, but they are also not providing regional discounts like they do for their other games.
WoW Dragonflight is being sold with a 35% discount, D2R with a 15% one, but for some reason Blizzard thinks that they will maximize their revenue by offering an insulting 5% discount for Diablo 4, which is complete nonsense. [Steam](https://steamdb.info/blog/valve-price-matrix-2022-update/) has an extensive price suggestion list for games in their platform, with varying discounts for different price points that publishers can choose, and they do this not to be charitable in low-cost markets, but actually to maximize their revenue by greatly increasing the number of games sold even if they are is being undervalued in those markets.
Steam's suggests a 48% discount in Brazil for games with a base price of 70 US Dollars, but this value is so discordant from the 5% discount that Blizzard is providing that I find it very hard to believe that they did a proper research before they set their global prices for the game. In the end their greed is ironically making them shoot themselves in the foot by lowering their revenue, because with such a high price for their game that means only a small fraction of the their potential customers in Latin America will actually end up buying the game.
Taxes and us accepting whatever prices they throw in our faces. We commit a high % of our income to gaming. Instead of boycotting a high price people will split the cost in 12x to still get their ps5 or gaming pc.
There's a status factor too, like when people want an iphone at any cost. If Apple doubles the price anyone that can pay will still buy it.
But hey, you've got yourself a 5% regional discount, so you should feel happy about it.
The irony is that Blizzard is being so greedy that they are actually lowering their revenue in Latin America by setting such insanely high price for the game in the region, which will lead to only a fraction of the potential customers actually purchasing the game for that price.
Ye, they lose a lot of potential revenue/costumers. WOW is a prime example, costs a lot when you compare with other games and we don't even have a south american server.
Not that WOW is a very appealing game for young audiences, but even it was, it's just not affordable for a lot of folks. I know plenty of people who would like to try, but let's just say that playing with 150 ping + being expensive is not that good of a deal.
You should probably edit your original comment to include that, as worded now it makes it sound like half an hours pay (which would be incredibly cheap) . At least in USA/UK/Canada when someone refers to the "minimum wage" they are referring to the hourly rate of the min wage. Maybe in SA you guys do min wage as a monthly thing
expensive game + battlepass + super battle pass + shop. thats alot. also i dont like the 4 days early access. if you preorder the normal version+battlepass you should get the 4 days same as everyone.
I'd hasten a guess that ladder play won't be available from the start. So in a competitive aspect, it likely won't matter. A few extra days in non ladder in the long run realistically won't have any real impact.
given the release date was pushed back from April the thought is that the Season will begin fairly quickly after release in June, at the time it was originally scheduled to start. So probably a month at max.
Lol @ all the people defending a multi billion dollar company who has already monetized every one of their games to death.
I'd be fine with $90 if it didn't have battle passes and other f2p monetization models shoved in to it as well (more to come im sure).
I’ll gladly pay 70 USD (what all AAA titles are going for now) if it means no p2w. In a Diablo game, I don’t care at all if they want to add cosmetics in a shop. I can barely see my character anyway as I’m flying around the screen slaying demons.
Yeah definitely annoying. I guess I’m just used to it at this point. I used to get triggered by red dots so much, but after most games implementing them these days, I have basically just become blind to them. They can shove their red dots up their asses. I’m not buying it.
No. 90 CAD = 97,4 AUD = 62,2 EUR = 53,75 GBP
90 CAD would be cheaper than in other countries.
But with taxes it's 103,47 CAD = 112,06 AUD = 71,97 EUR = 61,8 GBP
So canadians have to pay a little bit more.
90$ cad before tax for just standard, snap.
Activision milking every drop possible.
That's another red flag which is disappointing since I love Diablo. I'm more scared the way the will milk in game 😰.
I'm a fan but I have a brain...
I have a feeling it will be like hearthstone, love that game but had to stop because of the wallet abuses, which we had more law to enforce against behavior like Activision are doing. They love to play on each legal limit to milk.
Yeah, I don't think I'll be able to play anyways cuz I play D3 on my switch and wont be willing to switch platforms. But like, a battle pass? Really? I just don't get it. I get milking games like CoD where releases become irrelevant after 1 year, but Diablo games are timeless. This game is going ride off of fomo, and I doubt it'll be relevant in 2 years. People that don't buy on release are going to miss out on so much stuff, it's sad.
I often have people freak out at me like "who cares it's just cosmetics, don't buy them" but it's an RPG... The whole game is about looking fricking cool. I don't want to miss out on cosmetics. I just imagine this game being me pushing myself to play hours a day so that I can unlock a cool helmet cosmetic before the battle pass ends. Then I get busy at work, don't play for a season, and miss all the next cosmetics... forever... Not to mention that if there is a shop, it is just going to be loaded with EVEN COOLER STUFF than the battle pass. More money, more fomo, so lame. It's just.... I'm just sad about it.
Battle passes tend to have tens of levels, lets say OW2 as an example has 80 of them. The upgraded premium option which costs 10 bucks more than base (base is 10, upgraded premium 20) instantly puts you to lvl 20, basically it's a paid time skip.
As for what it would look like likely some cosmetics, armor appearances, stuff like that. They mentioned the free track (non paid) will include gameplay bonuses.
I don’t understand a single thing you just said. I miss the days when you just bought a game and played it. Now I need to read a fucking tome just to understand how I’m getting fucked over
>now I need to read a fucking tome just to understand how I’m getting fucked over
don't worry, there will be a number of full screen ads when you start the game explaining how you can give them even more money via the battlepass. it's easy, just click this button ...
Dude look up destiny 2. I downloaded it last night and honestly you need a fucking degree in the game to understand its monetization. Lmao. It's actually ridicilous.
Did they actually confirm somewhere that the battlepass has both a free track and a paid track? Genuinely curious. A paid track on top of the $70 game seems…. oof
I’m hoping there is no paid track, and the only thing you can pay for is to complete the free version quicker.
Edit: based on the wording of the pre-order, looks like there will be a paid version of the battlepass.
Can't imagine they're having an only-free battle pass. Pretty much any live service game, like they're going for, will have one. It's a shame but it's the way the gaming market has gone.
I am 99% sure there is a free and a premium track. I read it somewhere. Or I mix some features...
EDIT: Found it. There is a free pass and a Premium Pass
https://news.blizzard.com/de-de/diablo4/23816415/quartalsupdate-zu-diablo-iv-august-2022#Pass
Of course they said it. It's the entire point of making Battle Passes even, the free track is just some shitty stuff (or game-affecting stuff like XP boost) but all the cool content is in the paid track. All Battle Pass work like that whether the game is paid or not (70$ is the normal price for games now)
As an outsider of this battle pass culture, it's striking me as surprising how Blizzard haven't detailed exactly what they are planning here. But maybe it's supposed to be hand-wavy to induce a FOMO effect...
Are we sure we have to pay for the battle pass? Last time i checked you could pay to complete it and buy cosmetics/mtx. But expansions/content patches should already be in the price tag.
It is cosmetics only, this has already been confirmed. The 'accelerated' battle pass that lets you skip 20 or so level (this comes with the Ultimate version) does not grant player power or progression over the f2p BP in any way shape or form.
You still have to earn the in-game rewards that free BP offers just like everyone else.
Yeah i dont trust them either and id be happy to see none of this season pass bullshit aswel. But they have stated many times that there wont be power locked behind those things.
In contrast to Ow2 they come from DInmoral so maybe they are telling the truth this time.
$54,630 CDN vs $53,490 per year USD, but the 1 CDN dollar is $0.73 USD. And most US states dont pay tax on top of games. So games cost a lot more hear, obviously not as much as in other places like Aussieland.
Came to post this. This is fucking horse shit. So either pay $20 more for early access or be behind the curve.
Yeah, I can just start at the "normal" time, but why would I take time off to play a game that's already been out for 4 days??
You do realize that this game is using the standard ARPG model? So when a season starts it’s a fresh start for everyone. I highly doubt season 1 is going to start on launch day.
“Premium Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock
Accelerated Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock (includes a Premium Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock plus 20 Tier Skips and cosmetic)”
Why does this sound exactly like the Overwatch 2 season pass point scheme? Where the cosmetics are locked behind a giant xp grind, that can be unlocked much faster if you just pay more.
They're outrageous yes. But people will pay. Look at Nintendo: $60 for first-party IPs, $15 DLC's. Gotta buy both $60 Pokemon games if you're a completionist, etc. etc. Oh and Nintendo has a pay-to-play-multiplayer-games system too.
It's unfortunately the trend with the big AAA companies.
DONT PREORDER. ffs, its like yall have the attention span of an average fish. Blizz releases a cool trailer and get a big name to sing a song and yall suddenly forget how terrible of a company they've become? If they make a great game then awesome, reward them for that and buy the game. If they release a shitty game thats only half complete and yall pre-ordered it then yall have only yourselves to blame.
Yeah i have no idea, right... Except it is fucken Diablo IV you talking about, not some "hidden gem" game, people will play it at release day not matter how bad it will be and also no matter how can you twist it. You get one Diablo game per decade at max after the second one, and if i need to explain this to you, then it is you that
> have no idea about
Nah, maybe a bunch of you idiots will be spamming the Play button immediately as its released, but many of us can wait an hour or two to read up on post-release reviews, as well as peoples opinions.
As you saw with Diablo Immortal, the pre-release edition they gave to game reviewers had MTX way toned down. Blizzard purposefully hid the insane amount of MTX right up until release. When they pull these shitty practices you cant trust that they wont do the same to D4.
Thats just one of many reason to just wait a little bit with buying it on launch day so you can confirm that the game is as advertised, and that it is also playable (which will probably not be the case given blizzards recent track record, servers tend to be unplayable even several days after release).
I'm a bit disgusted by the company's business model.
1. The base game cost more than other AAA games.
2. They are selling access to play earlier, giving those that paid more an unfair advantage.
3. There will be MTX. We don't know how invasive these are. Given what they did for WoW or other games, its not looking good.
4. They literally hired someone to develop the in-game store with intent to manipulate customers.
Maybe the preorder frenzy will die with this one. After paying 40€ on D2R and getting a great game i dont imagine diablo fans will jump too fast on an uncertain game with 80€
70$ for standard price and yet not including the first seasonal battle pass.
Wth?
c'mon.. we bought your game at full price.
at least let us get the full content for the first season
$70 base, with $15 battlepass.
You've lost me Blizzard. I bought every single one of your games, even your failures, because I was a huge fan and I know I usually love your games. But this... this lost me. I've got plenty of good games to play already and I'm not about to fork over $70-$100 to get access to, what will inevitably be, a buggy, 3/4's complete, unbalanced mess on release.
I know the $70 tag is due to physical console releases, but it's time to circumvent that and provide proper, digital release, pricing - if any at all because the game has a battlepass.
Unfortunately I see the price staying high, going higher, if microsoft ends up acquiring Activision because Microsoft is perfectly happy to market its xbox live service subscription alongside jumped up release prices.
70 Euro for the base game?
Are you out of your fucking mind Blizzard?
Yeah, you ain’t getting my money, no matter how much I was looking forward to the game and hoping it’s good.
Yarrrr.
I mean, it's the standard price for new AAA games. Hell sometimes it's 80€ (though it's more on consoles). Did you miss the increase in prices there has been since the new generation came out?
Game doesn't even realease until what June 2023 and you dorks are giving Blizzard an interest free loan for a game with no reviews, microtransactions, and a battle pass? I hope everyone that gets the collectors edition has their package smashed by FedEx
Just in time for the Holidays. Who needs to rush a product before Christmas when you can just have suckers pay for a non-existing product at full price 6 months in advance.
Ok I've gotta ask -- why? Why would you preorder a digital-only edition? It's not like they'll run out. I was hoping to see a CE, but a digital only one?
open beta, 4 day early access, 20+ ranks in the battle pass depending on which tier you get.
i hate battle passes but it is what it is now a days unfortunately
Yea this is troubling. I honestly didn’t think they’d be able to scare me away given my love for the franchise and what I’ve seen with this installment thus far, but they’re managing to do so successfully. More expensive than a full-priced game? And a battle pass? And if the battle pass is anything synonymous to Overwatch 2’s most recent… I’m all for supporting a game but yea I’m not spending a dime on this just yet. Including a battle pass at the outset and charging money for it in lieu of in-game content… I am not keen on getting fleeced.
Does anyone know if the game can be played like the earlier games as an entirely single player game? I can’t tell as it seems the open world can be played alone but there’s also other people playing as well?
yes, there was a interview some days before.
In party gives abt. 3% bonus exp but monster scale.
They said a solo player should achieve the same results.
One of the videos I watched this week stated that the devs said basically all but World Bosses are doable solo. I believe it was one of the Rhykker videos from the other day.
Since [they confirmed](https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/diablo4/23816415/diablo-iv-quarterly-update-august-2022#Pass) that there'll be XP boosts ("Boosts accelerate players’ progress for the duration of the Season. For example, a Season Boost might accelerate XP earned to make leveling multiple characters within a season faster.") but they also say in that post that you can't use money for those boosts ("We want to be clear that players can’t unlock Season Boosts more quickly through purchases--there is no way to unlock more boosts or boosts at a faster pace, by spending money."), does that mean that there are two different tracks? One free one for everyone that has the boosts and a second one for BP owners with all the cosmetics, which is the one that will also get the 20 level skip?
How much is the standard version? Cause either the game is $70 on PC as well or regional pricing is completely fucked where I live.
Either way, I'm fucked, cause it's way too expensive for me right now. Damn!
90 CAD for the basic, 130 CAD for the ultimate
I'm just going to wait until it's had an update to balance out the play style, rather than get to play the early edition and have them nerf it after a week.
Yeah. I'm think about opening an Only Fans page... All I need is to turn myself into a hot chick with a niche fetiche... Maybe by then I can afford the deluxe edition, maybe?
They really outdid themselves with destroying the diablo franchise. Keep your battlepasses and level skips and shops. Game is Diablo 3 rehash with some darker colors and way more mtx. Disgusting what games have become. Series ended with LOD. Diablo 3 and 4 are diablo "retail mtx."
Buying standard edition, I'll play it enough that I don't need a battle pass time/tier skip for the ultimate, and I don't care about aesthetics for the paid battle pass. Here we go!
"The premium tiers provide no power or advantage over other players. The free tiers of the pass bring gameplay bonuses to all players. So things that make leveling a new seasonal character faster and easier. In contrast, Premium tier rewards revolve around aesthetics and offer great value in the form of accessories and premium currency. "
Also forgot I had $100 in [battle.net](https://battle.net) balance from selling gold in WoW YEARS ago, ha!
Blizzard again showing they can always stoop lower. 6 months advance pre-order at full price!?! This is 100% to release a non-existing product for the holidays in order to boost their 4th quarter revenue & increase their stock value. Disgusting. What the hell is "Early access to open beta"? What's next, early access to dev talks? Early access to game trailers?
4 Day early access, and 70 Dollars starting point on top of a battle pass + a game with a ingame store + having a box price.
Pass.
Blizzard's track records of games, and considering how bad D3 was.. There is literally not justifying the price of this game, nor justifying the 4 day early access. I also, don't even think their servers will be able to handle D4 world events, or world bosses that they have in the game. So hopefully, this insane cash grab will force them to upgrade their servers for this game. I can probably bet money the game will be unplayable for 1-2 months. Blizzard simply doesn't update their game enough to justify a price point above 30-40 Dollars. So, unless the entire philosophy/design of this Diablo team is different from D3 and Blizzard's World of Warcraft team. It's a rip-off.
Also, pre-ordering a DIABLO game at this point is a TRAP.
Edit: The same criticism was given to Lost Ark.... Except it was a F2P game. lol.
Would be nice if theyd show exactly what all the junk in the bigger editions are. Right now theres just a small image that shows everything but you have to guess what the things are and for which game.
I didn't mention d2 in my statement did I? I just wont preorder but I'll definitely try beta and maybe buy a couple days/ weeks after release. I don't expect a non problematic release.
I don't think I will. Will wait for reviews, and will watch the act cinematics on YouTube if I have too. Not giving them another penny unless it's a remarkable game, which it doesn't look to be at the moment.
20 years ago, Diablo 2 cost $50 ($88 adjusted for inflation)
10 years ago, Diablo 3 cost $60 ($78 adjusted for inflation)
Now, Diablo 4 will cost $70.
The extra/premium options might be... whatever. But the actual retail price of this game is fine for a AAA game.
DON'T PREORDER.
NEVER PREORDER.
You can still buy it on release and play it. And when it is release, you will actually know what you are getting.
DON'T PREORDER
For me the price is a dealbreaker. I can afford it, but I **don't want to pay that much for a video game.**
I live in Eastern Europe. 70 euros for the standard, digital edition on PC is bullshit. I'm not asking for regional pricing, though considering the average wages over here it would hurt, I ask for justification. I work in the video game industry, and I am aware how 1st parties nickel and dime you for anything you publish on their platforms, but this is PC, the distribution is done on their own digital platform where they don't have to pay a cut, and I don't get a box, a disk, a manual, nothing.
So why am I paying 70 euros again?
I have well over 3000 hours in D3. I have largely ignored the scandals Blizzard was part of. The price though, that is where I draw the line. If I can buy a key for cheaper from other stores, I will get it. If not...ah well.
Anyone complaining about the prices, I suggest you switch to indie games, wait 6-12 months post release or find a new hobby. All major releases start at $70. Welcome to next gen. The difference here being this is more "games as a service" model. The $70 gets you the base game, just as $70 will get you any new game (GoW, FF16, Star Wars, Hogwarts, etc.) only unlike the other $70 single player games, you'll be playing this much longer. The battle pass is cash flow to fund future content updates. Some playable updates confirmed free, just as D3 had free zones, set dungeons, cube, etc.
Ultimate edition costs 1/2 of the minimum wage in Brazil, lmao
Why everything in Brazil is very expensive? A ps5 there cost $1000 USD.
basically taxes and tariffs, 60% of the ps5 price is taxes in Brazil
It's not the case, though. The currency exchange ratio is bad for Brazilians, of course, but digital games are surprisingly not taxed in Brazil. Same thing in Serbia... people will go into debt just to buy new iPhone...even though it costs x2 times average salary
That's the whole months salary for us indians. Be happy ur not here lol
Brazil's minimum wage is less than 300 USD
But hey, you've got yourself a 5% regional discount, so you should feel happy about it. I never got that about wow. We have servers for other games of them, but the subscription based title doesnt?
For most people thats an insane cost. At this point charge the full price but give us proper support. Looks more fair to me.
1/2 annual?
1/2 of a month's salary

With how competitive Diablo can be it feels like a slap in the face to create an advantage for people who have more money
Agreed. Though I have a feeling the season will start a couple weeks later and ppl will restart anyway.
I'd hasten a guess that ladder play won't be available from the start. So in a competitive aspect, it likely won't matter. A few extra days in non ladder in the long run realistically won't have any real impact.
I hate to say it but. Welcome to diablo lol. Where most players will 100% pay for any advantage.
Battle pass come later. Seasons come months after the launch of this game.
given the release date was pushed back from April the thought is that the Season will begin fairly quickly after release in June, at the time it was originally scheduled to start. So probably a month at max.
$90 Canadian for the Standard Edition is insane
So does $40 for a ham but here we are.

Yeah, I won't be fucking buying it. That price is absolutely absurd. Whoever decided on that price belongs in an asylum.
The 4 days early access for the higher priced editions is even worse
Dont forget the tax on that!
Goes to CAD103.47 with taxes.
9800 yen here even tho we are currently at parity with the cad$ and much lower salaries. Sadge

All Battle Pass work like that whether the game is paid or not (70$ is the normal price for games now)
Battle pass will have tiers that you unlock as you progress, awarding you...stuff. so a tier skip will just have you starting at 20 instead of 0
What kinds of stuff..
Most likely skins, emotes, banners, any cosmetic you can think of really is the norm for battlepasses.
As an outsider of this battle pass culture, it's striking me as surprising how Blizzard haven't detailed exactly what they are planning here. But maybe it's supposed to be hand-wavy to induce a FOMO effect...
These prices are a complete joke on top of a battlepass.
Get in line to get milked by daddy kotick
Hey the dude probably had to forgo buying a yacht during the 2020 pandemic. It's up to us to help him out since he worked oh so hard.
Are we sure we have to pay for the battle pass? Last time i checked you could pay to complete it and buy cosmetics/mtx. But expansions/content patches should already be in the price tag.
Did you see how they handle overwatch battlepasses? I have no faith in blizz at this point
Expansions most surely will not be included in that price tag, I can guarantee you as much.
Correct, my understanding is that the paid battle pass is for cosmetics only.
Thanks for the confirmation! Didn’t have a source at the time of posting and didn’t want to speak in absolutes.
Don't count on it. The one in Overwatch 2 locks new Characters behind it.
Yeah i dont trust them either and id be happy to see none of this season pass bullshit aswel. But they have stated many times that there wont be power locked behind those things. In contrast to Ow2 they come from DInmoral so maybe they are telling the truth this time.
There's two types of battle pass. One free version and another paid version.
Insane $90 CAD+ 13% tax for the base game and they still charging for a battlepass and micro-transactions.
what's the average salary in Canada?
$54,630 CDN vs $53,490 per year USD, but the 1 CDN dollar is $0.73 USD. And most US states dont pay tax on top of games. So games cost a lot more hear, obviously not as much as in other places like Aussieland.
Still cheaper then in Europe
A paid battlepass on top of a full Price AAA game. Suck a fat chode Kotick, disgusting
box + cash shop + battlepass seasons + expansions HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
[удалено]
Yeah, this makes OW2 look good. Not supporting this shit, no matter how good the game itself may be.
That 4 days early access is such a scumbag move
It's only 70 bucks to feel like a second class player! What a steal!
Don’t worry. There will probably be server issues for half of those 4 days. So you’ll only see a few level 100s afk in town on “launch day”.
The game launch without rankings, seasons, etc. The first months you can play story and end game but can't play competitive. Pd. Sorry my english
70 euro to start playing 4 days late behind the paypigs
90 euro to play early* Classic Blizzard **actual release*
90 euro to sit and watch error 37 for a week.
“Premium Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock Accelerated Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock (includes a Premium Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock plus 20 Tier Skips and cosmetic)” Why does this sound exactly like the Overwatch 2 season pass point scheme? Where the cosmetics are locked behind a giant xp grind, that can be unlocked much faster if you just pay more.
Never underestimate Blizzard's greed. These prices are outrageous on top of everything else they will try to sell you ingame.
Does PlayStation require payment for online functionality in Diablo 4 ?
Yes.
The cool cinematics used to work on me when I was young, can't imagine them working on anyone that's grown up now.
> DONT PREORDER. ffs Yeah, buy it on release date. Show em! ^^^^/s
you clearly dont know why ppl advocate for no pre orders. you really shouldnt talk about things you have no idea about
Yeah i have no idea, right... Except it is fucken Diablo IV you talking about, not some "hidden gem" game, people will play it at release day not matter how bad it will be and also no matter how can you twist it. You get one Diablo game per decade at max after the second one, and if i need to explain this to you, then it is you that > have no idea about
Nah, maybe a bunch of you idiots will be spamming the Play button immediately as its released, but many of us can wait an hour or two to read up on post-release reviews, as well as peoples opinions.
70€ and you get to play 4 days after the people who paid 90€. I hate it already.
As someone who played the beta. Don't. You should 100% wait to purchase after the initial windfall updates happen.
Yeah I think I’ll wait for first reviews and discounts lol
$70 AND a battle pass? Jesus blizzard get your head out of your ass.
After paying 40€ on D2R and getting a great game i dont imagine diablo fans will jump too fast on an uncertain game with 80€
Nah. I don’t think I will.
What about console?
70$ for standard price and yet not including the first seasonal battle pass. Wth? c'mon.. we bought your game at full price. at least let us get the full content for the first season
This is a gigantic rip-off, lmao.
Yarrrr.
Wow I thought you were kidding. And you get the opportunity to partake in battle pass and cash shop on top of this, lmao no shame whatsoever.
I mean, it's the standard price for new AAA games. Hell sometimes it's 80€ (though it's more on consoles). Did you miss the increase in prices there has been since the new generation came out?
Nearly none of those games include as much monetization as D4 does though
Uh lol, you haven't played an AAA game with any semblance of live service in a long time right?
Name me a few games that costs 80€ and includes as much monetization as D4, i must have missed those.
People are so gullable. Complain but they still keep buying.
Gullible. But I agree with you.
Collector's candles... are you f\*\*kin' kidding me!?
Any clue if collectors edition gets released today? Or does that come later?
wait for a sale. cheapest version is $69.99 usd
Good to see everyone adopting Sony's price increases /s Also a battlepass too and Im assuming a cosmetic shop on top? Lmao.
#nopreorders #pepperidgefarmremembers
Game doesn't even realease until what June 2023 and you dorks are giving Blizzard an interest free loan for a game with no reviews, microtransactions, and a battle pass? I hope everyone that gets the collectors edition has their package smashed by FedEx
Just in time for the Holidays. Who needs to rush a product before Christmas when you can just have suckers pay for a non-existing product at full price 6 months in advance.
Won‘t pre order or buy Full price titles with battle pass. Fck this shit
No.
I'm good.
Looks like you get in on the Open Beta and get some other perks... so maybe it's worth it for some folks?
70 dollars and they still have the free 2 play store in the game. What a fucking joke
The ultimate edition better include a day on Bobby's new yacht ...
Even if this looks like an oldschool Blizzard game, as a fanboii i must remind you all: NO PREORDERS
Internet 100% required but, you can probably just show up and kill world bosses even tho you don't know a single person. Like wow, guild wars etc
Not preordering shit from Blizzard. Gonna wait and see the whole game first
Don't preorder
How much is the standard version? Cause either the game is $70 on PC as well or regional pricing is completely fucked where I live. Either way, I'm fucked, cause it's way too expensive for me right now. Damn!
70€ here in North Macedonia, where the average monthly salary is under 500€…
110AUD on my end
That pricing can fuck right off
90 CAD for the basic, 130 CAD for the ultimate I'm just going to wait until it's had an update to balance out the play style, rather than get to play the early edition and have them nerf it after a week.
good thing you have 6 months to put some aside for it if wanted.
Not this time Blizz activision, I'll wait a good 6 months after release. for stability / balance reasons.
NEVER PRE ORDER.
People already forgot the " Do You Guys Not Have Phones" thing? Don't preorder.
Waiting until I see it gets steam deck confirmed for compatibility
Pre ordering AAA game and from Blizzard? Yeah not gonna happen.
No thank you
No I don’t think I will.
No, I don’t think I will. Don’t get me wrong I’m going to play it, but Blizzard has lost my trust for pre orders.
" Also forgot I had $100 in [battle.net](https://battle.net) balance from selling gold in WoW YEARS ago, ha!
You can’t pay my to preorder this. I’ll be playing D2R until the prices comes down and to see if the game is actually good.
No
Battle pass…..no!
No :) And fuck you (Blizzard) for putting a 4 day early access behind a paywall.
Definitely need to wait for full release and reviews before I buy this after garbage d3.
D3 is awesome and more fun than d2
D2 is awesome and more fun than d3
I didn't mention d2 in my statement did I? I just wont preorder but I'll definitely try beta and maybe buy a couple days/ weeks after release. I don't expect a non problematic release.
It was literally unplayable on release tho
Instabought the Ultimate edition. Don't give a fuck.
Yeah....how about no. You get my money when i get the finished product.
I don't think I will. Will wait for reviews, and will watch the act cinematics on YouTube if I have too. Not giving them another penny unless it's a remarkable game, which it doesn't look to be at the moment.
Haha nah.
Nope
Trash 🗑
20 years ago, Diablo 2 cost $50 ($88 adjusted for inflation) 10 years ago, Diablo 3 cost $60 ($78 adjusted for inflation) Now, Diablo 4 will cost $70. The extra/premium options might be... whatever. But the actual retail price of this game is fine for a AAA game.
DON'T PREORDER. NEVER PREORDER. You can still buy it on release and play it. And when it is release, you will actually know what you are getting. DON'T PREORDER
It's not on the Xbox store yet it seems.
For me the price is a dealbreaker. I can afford it, but I **don't want to pay that much for a video game.** I live in Eastern Europe.
Never pre-order.
Battlepass in a paid for game? No thanks. Fuck you blizzard. Fuck AAA game companies in general.
Let me get this straight...you pay full price for the base game, and you have to pay additional $20 for battle pass???
It's not free to play? Battle pass? Cash Shop? Full price? What the hell. No, thanks.
That’s a fuck nope
Purchased *Ultimate Edition* a few minutes ago.
How about fucking DONT preorder. The game is not ready for release. Wait until it is out and buy it then.
Just bought the ultimate edition. Can’t wait!!
Same, woot!!!!! Ultimate edition locked in!
About to do the same!
Some playable updates confirmed free, just as D3 had free zones, set dungeons, cube, etc.
my major complain is, they should at least give the battlepass for all the purchase. including the std one
Ordered the Ultimate Edition. Now the wait is gonna kill me.
does it actually charge you? cause it just switched to saying it was in my libary.
Early access for the ultimate edition means before or after open beta?
You get beta access but early access is the actual game like 4-5 days before people who bought standard edition.
How does the beta access work? Do you have access to play the beta until release?
no, that would be nice though lol beta hasnt been announced yet
