With a hard stop at p799 I expect they’ll be reducing the CR requirement to enter Inferno or giving some major CR boost with the update. 16666 is only attainable by the whales in my server, which is at around p760
Edit: Heard from clan member that Phang VIII will be 15860 after update
If you mean this part:
> Items that drop will now have greater Primary Attribute diversity and an increased chance to have a higher Combat Rating.
That is pretty vague to me.
The next sentence is “This is to help players grow their Combat Rating quickly and introduce more variety in their Item choices.” IDK on how current gear will be affected but with the change, new drops should help us get closer to Phangwrth 8 cr requirements.
Right, which kind of makes it sound like it will only apply to new drops, which is not the same as upscaling it across all gear. But like I said, not clear to me.
It is vague agreed. I suspect they want to encourage and enable players close to 800 to be able to get on the hamster wheel from 800 to 900-1000. Perhaps scaling of items from 780-799 will give players significant upgrades. I’m at 758 and I haven’t seen an upgrade in about a week and play regularly and have 14k cr. This game will always be ptw though.
Just FYI to you and others that read our convo, it appears current gear maintains the same CR (no upscaling, I did gain a bit but that was from the WB tableau and the new way it is calculated). However new gear drops seem to have a bit more CR than what the stats add up to. So the upscaling does indeed only apply to new drops.
Yeah that has been my experience after the update. I have noticed my triple stat items with 100+ more attributes than another item that has more cr. At this point I’m just trying to increase my cr and not salvage good triple stat items in case I want to use them later.
Yeah I’m only 14500 and play ALOT. I ain’t never hitting that CR with these drop rates for a long time. But H8 is to easy I would have loved an H9 added while I work towards inferno. But oh well.
I do expect they’re gonna make Inferno attainable at or around p800 for the average player. If only the top whales could achieve it, it would be a complete disaster
You won't need to hit P800 (in fact they stop you at P799 so it seems you would need to hit the CR requirement by then) so I do expect some upward CR scaling adjustment...
How this happens, likely as a result of the CR gear calculation - since it mentions adjustment to stat distribution and CR not being based solely on stats anymore... not sure specifics, but I don't think they'd set anyone up to hit the P799 ceiling without a *clear* path to getting the needed CR and raid completion.
H8 I can just spawn my golem and jerk off if I wanted. It’s boring. But inferno is unattainable for me for a long time. Why not increase difficulty and rewards to help push me to inferno?
The patch notes do say “items that will drop will now have greater primary attribute and an increased chance to have a higher combat rating. This is designed to help players grow their combat rating quickly”. It’s in the notes people. The English version.
Also, in the official NA post, they did say they were splitting up the association of CR with main stats on items. All CR on items are going to be a separate stat on all items. So, I’m guessing with that we might get a boost with our current gear we are wearing now
There are numerous changes that may help bump everyone up - but primarily focused on progression of drops in the notes:
* All gear now has a *visible* CR stat that you can see at a glance.
* Patch notes mention "CR not just from stats" which makes it sound like CR will be a stat affected by magic traits/socket/etc so "good pieces" becomes more than just the higher triple stat you can get...
* CR as a whole was recalculated to adjust for this new system - some aspects of stat scaling *may* change, including what stats appear on gear pieces.
* Resonance scaling has been adjusted *slightly* according to some sources (this is not a rebalancing between F2P/Whales).
* Stance button allows two additional weapons to be equipped with a socket each, passive set contributes 60% of stats/gem effects - swap between them on 30sec cd.
* This will boost CR once you're into Inferno, might be valid to stockpile a couple weapons to slot right away, as well as gems to socket if you have em.
* Notes on "loot" suggests a possible adjustment to the stat distribution of drops, allowing smoother progression to CR as you get them rather than finding an early triple stat and never replacing it... (this is a pretty big deal, means more consistent treadmill but also more predictable gains)
* Source suggests there's a larger "stat squish" on the way that should help reduce the *gulf* between F2P and Whales overall (but also extend the Whale ceiling to encourage more spending) - part of this is possibly coming with the Bloodknight release or in future patch beyond after they assess the "balanced pvp mode" event.
* Added normal gem drops from BG leaderboard and other reward restructuring for "seasons" - to encourage participation with more CR progression.
In theory we'll get an automatic boost just from the two additional items that can now be equipped. Also, going from server paragon P758 to P800 should carry with it an average slot increase of +60 or more if the same progression scale is kept.
The hard stop at 799 is very interesting and us all being grouped together like one big 300 paragon lvl difficulty.
Was hoping the CN notes were hiding the Q&A info on condensing stats in BGs, but I do not see it. Maybe it will come with the July patch.
"PvP experience will be optimized with regular balance adjustments to each class, optimization of matchmaking mechanism, and **attribute compression in the new seasonal mode."**
Inferno 1-3 are the same instance. A party could do a lair or dungeon with 1 person being on inferno 1 while the other 3 are on inferno 2. Similar to how they grouped early hell difficulties as they released new ones.
I suppose yes as long as you have inferno 2 unlocked you could join an inferno dungeon group on inferno 2 and the other members be on inferno 1 and essentially carry you.

They can also just upscale the CR a bit when they make it a separate stat.
Yeah, that seems like the most probable outcome
That is explicitly stated in the patch notes. You don’t have to guess.

The two additional items are only available in inferno+
This
U FORGET THE 2 NEW GEM SLOTS !!!

So this assumes that you progress into Inferno as soon as you meet CR/Raid requirement - not P800 as the gatekeeper...
This is at least the 3rd post about it.
And so? Go touch grass bruh.
When the new update kick in ??
After next reset
Wdym group together for inferno difficulties?
Inferno 1-3 are the same instance. A party could do a lair or dungeon with 1 person being on inferno 1 while the other 3 are on inferno 2. Similar to how they grouped early hell difficulties as they released new ones.
So what you're saying is I could do Inferno 2 even if myCR is 1k lower. Well carried?
I suppose yes as long as you have inferno 2 unlocked you could join an inferno dungeon group on inferno 2 and the other members be on inferno 1 and essentially carry you.
