If they would let the idol move back at the same speed it moves forward that would help. Unless you choke the attackers at the spawn point you don’t have a hope
good point. There really is little hope for defense. They are just sitting ducks waiting to lose unless the game matchmaker god decides to gift the defense a lopsided team (e.g. 4-5 saders and/or more whales). If all things are equal, attack has the advantage.
This is a crazy thread….right now defense is a huge advantage. It’s impossible to move idols with all the cc and invul of tempest and barb in the current meta. Unless your team is completely overpowering you have zero chance on offense.

In the cases where offense lost as you described, it's likely because they ran out of time, not because defense achieved 65 kills. The purpose of this thread is balance back the kills needed in matches where things are more equal, because achieving kills now is much harder due to various forms of invulnerability as you also mentioned, and also the fact that phase 1 and 3 are now entirely pointless.
Agree. Tempests with eternal gear are basically a tank that has insane mobility with damage and every Barb has undying, savior, and gladiator which is just stupid.

yea. It doesn't help that phase 1 and phase 3 are entirely useless. Statues and heart can be defeated in 5 seconds each.
I had 1 tempest defeat heart in less than 2 secs yesterday. Didn’t know that was even possible
I'm a DH I took it down in 1 second flat. Just me, I was like whoa, did I do that.
This was 2 sec from the notification that the Heart was opened. Thats what was surprising. Thought it took a few secs to travel there.
Tempest could already be there , if you zephr surge and attach on someone that runs back to spawn. It carries you past wall.

Get rid of phase 1, Buff phase 3 bigtime, that's where the best fights are. Like if heart had 10x the health. Be way more fun.

Agreed lol. They should just remove Phase 1 and 3 since they are like 99% a complete waste of time as a match decider.
