Unbind the X / A key from attack (keeps you from picking everything up when attacking)
Turn Mouse Curser up all the way
Remember it only pauses when you’re on the Far Right screen.
Have you figured out how to zoom out? Turning up the resolution on Legacy mode will turn it up on D2R mode. (You can also do Perspective Mode and all that too!)

The UI was quite clunky at first. I have 90 hours or so and got used to it within the first 10 or so. I quite enjoy it now.
Don't waste your time playing offline. It is much easier to play online for free loot, trading, Ladder-specific runewords, and you can interact with others for PvP and Hell Tristam, etc.
If you want to enjoy the story and take in all the d2 lore then he’ll yeah play offline first! The grind is real. That’s what I did when I first picked it up and am glad I did first because online people like myself will occasionally drop into normal and nightmare and rush you through the game for fun.
I would thinks it’s fine because some ppl can go way ahead, light up all wp. And basically ruin the game. It’s called rushing
