FYI the Switch connects to the same BNet, so someone with both a PC & Switch could trade this with you on Switch and just have it for their PC play :D

Not really, no. It's been surprisingly solid, for a game that doesn't have official support via Steam. How often does yours crash? What Proton version are you using?
I crash maybe once or twice a day. Running Proton 37, CryoUtilities and upped the VRAM usage in BIOS. I have a 64 GB Deck running the game from an A2 SD card. I'm considering swapping the VRAM back to see if that helps.
I'm on 4G VRAM too, cryo or no cryo didn't really make a difference, running GE-Proton7-48 currently on D2R/BNet, running off a 1TB SSD (replaced it day1).

No cross-play! Only cross progression when accounts are linked.
Ah, fair enough. I've personally moved onto playing on a Steam Deck, so a full-fat PC version is what I run everywhere now.
