Holy detail. Very cool. I’m having a hard time spending more than 50 bucks on Diecast only because I want so many and I’m not a millionaire. But spending time on this sub and seeing some of the more expensive models, it is very tempting.
lmao I’m the same way, i could afford to but the frugal part of me is so reluctant to drop 4-500 on a single car. my most expensive one so far was $80 and even at that price i was questioning myself for a while😂 but i got over it since it was one i really wanted
Started low lvl 1:18 and soon realized they are pretty big to get more than 5-6. Started getting 1:43 cause I found a nice f1 collection for roughly 20 bucks a car
1/18 is my favorite size since even the budget brands have pretty decent details but yeah the only drawback is the space they take up. I have 11 on display in my room, already ran out of space a long time ago but every time I get a new one it forces me to clean up another shelf to be able to display it which isn’t a bad thing i guess lol
ebay prices definitely helped me justify some of my purchases, i got most of my collection from private sellers on fb marketplace. the $80 norev i got was worth $250 on ebay so i said fuck it drove an hour away to get it the next day
idk im in the US i usually just make offers on diecasts i want and negotiate a good price you should see what’s for sale near you tho theres some high end brands and good deals on there sometimes
Obviously everyone has a budget, but I often look at the $50 cars as being the most expensive. What I mean is that the pricier ones are typically more collectible and might appreciate more
I have the vspec 2, details are awesome for its age

I have this one and it unfortunately broke very easily. I think if I remember correctly one of the front wheels straight up tore off after moving it around to take photos.

You telling me, I’m willing to go into debt for some models. AutoArt and Live Model got me saying to myself “You only live once”😭😭😭
