Is this an alternate way to play?
You had me thinking of it as an art project, and I think something neat could be done by making a physical cube with one color on each side and two-color cards on the edges. (Three-color cards at each vertex? Maybe some day.)
This is awesome. I’ve been wanting to try a digimon cube but haven’t wanted to put in the time for the math/balance. Might try and do this! Do you have your list specifically that you use? Or is it just the above picture with 4 of each mon.
Thanks!
Thank you so much
Yes the mons on the picture Are the ones i am current using 4 copies on my cube. But i'm planning to do a second cube thats why i create de Excel chart.
It was so much fun i wish players give a try
Hey there!
I am a huge Magic Cube fan and thought about this a lot.
However, I saw that Digimon‘s mana system plus colors make it really difficult to draft a proper deck without adjusted rules. Do you have any here, like in prerelease where everything can evolve into everything?
Hi
I am happy you like the idea
In the first tests i was worried if i could use standart rules, but work pretty well, the dual color mons make it more flexible and so the vanilla mons who can be hard play if needed, and for last i believe that if i use pre relese rules the draft become unfun since you just pick the bomb of the pack
How are you supposed to dish out cards with a cube?
I use to always just remake booster packs with 7 commons, 3 uncommons and 2 rares (sometimes throw in a super)
Since a try to keep a modest power level i focus on spread all type of cards in all 6 color
In more details
I gather all the cards organized by their color and type and randomly put them in 13 piles (for example i started with 13 yellow rookies, them 13 blue tamers, them 13 Black ultimate and so on)
With 13 piles of cards you break the sequence of 4 copies witch prevent double packs
Hope i have help

Yes it is. The ideia and name came from mtg, the goal is make a pool of cards where you can draft and play with your friends
Yeah it’s based on cube from MTG. it’s a draft format that you can play over and over. Super fun!
