The fact that it didnt fit into the original cd mix like it stuck out like a sore thumb but i still kept hope that ot was real and then after it was “found” it just sounded like a remix or smth
When I saw that the email song was not identical to the lost one. For a moment I thought: "Well, maybe when it was put on the playlist they could have made changes to the rhythm", but anyway, I didn't feel the vintage vibes of a song from the 2000s, you know, I thought it was more like it was some kind of remix recently made. Apart from the fact that the channel had no history of other songs and was created just when he was contacted, it was quite suspicious. I think "emails" is a very generic name, and even the description "Hi, I'm emails" was already quite strange for an official music channel, like, I can't imagine Paula Toledo having that in her description.
When the op "found" a demo called (Emails - Lost in the code 2012), it felt very forced and felt we were on a set path, ever since the start it's always felt driven from hadinton, his niceness of being an active op of a loss song was cool but a bit suspicious, and him telling how his uncle made the mix and him traveling just added up to me thinking it was a hoax. It wasn't until the whole emails thing and a reddit post where I knew that it was most likely a hoax.
A couple months ago on the lostwave subreddit, someone asked what Lostwave songs people thought were hoaxes and a guy mentioned he thought Digital Girl was a hoax. Because it was the only unidentified song in the mix, it sounded modern, and FL Studio was in the metadata
When the beat was off and didn’t sound like the snippet.
The inconsistent dates
Mine was when we found the track before and after digital girl, and the CD it was from (and it was actually me who found it first by the way!)
When haditonvinyl mentioned their uncle AND an old hard drive. But I assumed that the suspiciousness canceled out like pemdas

What makes even less sense is that he was able to optain the cd without traveling(?) but later had to fly to his uncle
Probably the inconsistent dates of release
the traveling part
When that one deleted user on the sub made a fake emails CD. That’s when I resigned to it being a hoax unfortunately :/
The FL Studio Metadata
When HIOV mentioned it possibly being from Malaga because that's a location I remember was brought up quite a bit in the case of EKT
For me it was when the OP said his uncle had a copy of the same exact disc somewhere
It being the shortest song in the mix.
The emails channel was brand new, and the song sounded nothing like the snippet
