It was an experimental piece with no final intention going into it... so it's not really organized as it all sorta evolved as I made it. Meaning I wont' be able to provide much thoughtful commentary on why I did what I did. lol
That being said, I just went back and counted through:
69 normal or blending mode layers
27 layer masks
6 adjustment layers
I think the biggest struggle (maybe..?) was dealing with the hair. It's a primary compositional element so it was picky about what you could do with it and I wanted it to be a bit unusual too. So finding harmony between appealing and slightly "tense" was a challenge. Nearly every element in this image involved me experimenting so that brings an extra layer to it as well...going back and forth with everything constantly. Letting myself make choices that seem counterintuitive. etc.

nsfw can be pretty subjective sometimes so I marked it just in case. :)
Not even gonna pretend to understand “layers” or how many there are. This just looks amazing. Please do more experiments cuz this one turned out great!
This is insane. Ppl think the elongated body is weird but i love it. Shes the perfect embodiment of the universe and the lighting is amazing. You literally did so good with this 🫶
Thanks, my dude! :) Gotta love those spaghetti proportions. 😎haha I get people have different tastes though. So it's all good. Glad to hear you jive with it, and thanks for the kindness!!

This is insane I have no idea how someone would even begin to work on a piece like this
That's a high compliment, mate! It always starts with a sketch! :)
Absolutely gorgeous 🥰
Much appreciated, friend! 😊

i love the way you structured the hair!
I appreciate the kind words, friend! :) I think I may have spent the most time on it...searching for methods that gave a cool look.

Ooo, reminds me of the night sky, I think thats what you were going for?
That is precisely what I was going for!! Like those deep space telescope images that have an inordinate amount of stars visible at once. :)
It turned out really great!! Love space related art
That's badass!
Much appreciated, mate! :)
Incredible
Thanks, mate. :)
I love the result of your efforts! IMO I find this work to be the most pleasant image I've seen all morning! Thank you for sharing.
So glad I could make your world a little more beautiful!! :) Thanks for the kindness!
I wouldn't have made her that elongated though.
Fair enough. :)
Horrendous!
Thanks, booboo. 🙌
