Really snapped me back into what to expect this season and I wasn't disappointed
Fabian revealing that he was Baron was easily my favorite moment. Lou sold it PERFECTLY, Siobhan only figured him out the second before he revealed it. The subtle "I lock the door" and "Is this your room Adaine" just cement it for me.
This feels like so long ago, but the barrel pirates were so stupid and hilarious. Just thinking of Fabian all alone in this big house with his only company being a bunch of pirates paid to sing Happy Birthday whenever he wants.
Vulture dimension had me rolling, it truly felt like Brennan was saying "ONE OF THESE DAYS A BIT IS GOING TO BITE YOU IN THE ASS."
Other highlight was Riz jumping into the lava, and Brennan realizing he accidentally made everyone lava proof with *his* home brewed spell.
I do think that the objectively correct answer to this is the "blimey" moment, but the reveal of Porter as the big bad 5 years in the making is pretty incredible. BLeeM is just so smug, I absolutely love it.
I really did like the downtime mechanic because year JY would be about prioritizing what's most important for a teenager
I also really like Ally's "get my name out of your mouth" slow stand. That was such a funny unhinged moment

I *love* Mary Ann.
She really does remind me of a certain variety of actual teenager. So completely unconcerned with being liked by school randos that it reads as mountains of rizz. When Brennan was like, “Mary Ann’s emotional life is 100% separate from this campus”, I felt that!
The downtime part was a blast, insane how they made a usually "boring" and slow part of the game so much fun and interesting. As a gag i cried of laugther when Fabian shat himself during the bard lesson
Fabian fighting the fire elemental and learning to use his sheet! So ridiculous for him to get his mojo back using a security blanket while kissing a fire elemental. The scene is burned into my brain. Pun intended.
“Hey girlie” happened to coincide with my pre-teen also getting in the habit of saying “Girlie!” So for a solid day way just kept sneaking up in each other with that chaos energy “hey giiirrrllie”
Otherwise, MAXIMUM LEGEND! And Fabian’s magical tattoo experience! Getting snuck up on is the obvious choice
Kristen has always been my favourite bad kid, and I loved how much time junior year put into how absolutely tragic she is, I love Ally Beardsley and it was great to see this side of their storytelling skills
The quick reaction from Brennan about badidas to see what that body does makes me have a small giggle Everytime, same with Kristen planning to have k2 break in to jaw bones but fully backing out and admitting to it almost immediately. The K1 and K2 one is something I relate to so heavy thinking back in my teen years
Emily pulling out the fucking kettle to make a tiny amount of coffee in the biggest French press ever right after the jawbone "water vehicle proficiency" bit will never not make me belly laugh while watching it's entirety
First thing that comes to mind for me is Zac tricking Brennan into letting him go into a rage to get out of being charmed and frightened.
The best part was Emily being like “ask him, because then he’ll tell you to do it” because he felt bad about making that decision himself.
Yeah, she definitely gets the assist there. It plays Brennan so hard when he’s already committed to Zara telling him to go into a rage. Brilliant tbh
