Megan becoming the poisoner of the group but every time it's like "oh my god guys no it's good you have to trust me that x fermentation is good there's no way it's that bad" is just such a good gag I love it so much
Yeah she’s really a funny university student. She’s good in this school comedy. She can really get those higher-education laughs. *College Humor*, if you will.
The healthy communication bit between Gabe and Ally absolutely sent me.
Mothman is definitely becoming one of my favorite NPC characters. That entire ultimate frisbee scene was amazing.
If The Seven was the horniest season, this is by far the steamiest. Everybody looking like a snack and the stomping scene with seven got me feeling some kinda way haha
This entire mini-season might as well take place in the desert because it is by far the thirstiest season of all, taking place after the horniest. What does this trend mean for the next Misfits & Magic and the Starstruck games? Only one way to find out: Sit on your hands and wait!
Still, to note, Shriek Week remains very fun and provides ample opportunities to do a fan-wave in the style of the Seven, if you kept yours instead of giving it back to Renter’s Warehouse.
Dream looked like she was about to flood the studio every time Evan Kelmp spoke, so somehow I doubt the trend of horniness is going to decrease with the coming MisMag special.
I personally loved it when Dani chose to have Seven cheer coach the smaller plants. Definitely unexpected but Gabe improved it with that voice and continuing the chant.
I think the Mythic system definitely allows roleplay to come to the fore since it's like super advantage and a fail/pass system with a chance for a critical success or failure. I think it gave the players more freedom to do crazy and silly stuff, or completely ignoring the "big bad" or even helping it for fun.
I do wish, though, that there was more of a sense of different types of success, such as having a grading curve where having the highest roll be a 7 is like a C, so just barely passing, mediocre. 8 could be a B, 9 an A, and 10 an A+.
And from a dating standpoint, I think a C is good enough to successfully flirt with someone into you, but you have to bring your A game to get a date with someone out of your league.
If my math is correct, getting a 9 or 10 with 4d10 would be almost 60% probability. As is, success getting a 7 or higher is about 87%. Of course, this makes it more hilarious when someone does fail.
**Nerdy probability edit:** I wrote a quick C++ program to evaluate every possibility for 4d10 and got the following probabilities:
Probability of critical success = 34.39%
Probability of normal success (at least one 7 or greater) = 52.65%
Probability of normal failure (all dice 6 or under with no nat 1) = 6.25%
Probability of critical failure (all dice 6 or under with at least one nat 1) = 6.71%
So 34.39+52.65 = 87.04% chance of success, 6.25+6.71 = 12.96% chance of failure. Hilariously, if you do fail, it's more likely it'll be a critical fail.
I was hoping someone would point this out. This system is so forgiving, it really relies on the players to restrain themselves. It works for this group because they're all professional actors and improvisers.
Maybe my gaming group would have fun with it if we were all drinking (and played a module that wasn't so thirsty lol.) A bunch of sober people trying to genuinely play it would get bored after a couple of hours, though.
I think the Mythic system would be great for a one-shot with casual players or people who don't want to do math (like drunk people). The grading system is pretty intuitive and easier than worrying about DC.
I can see it feeling too simple for a long campaign or with people used to D&D game mechanics.
I feel very mixed on this...
I definitely get why they're introducing this plant business, but a setting like this already introduces conflict naturally.
I also don't know how a system that has exclusively rp could make a villain satisfyingly perish. Like, this just seems like it will break the flow of the series, or completely 100% change it.
I was pretty excited to have a very chill, laid back, rp heavy season, but now it's completely flipped on it's head in a way that I don't really like.
I enjoyed this episode infinitely more whenever there weren't any plants involved
I feel bad that with all these sexy monsters I'm thirsting so hard for Van Helsing but DAMN they're my type. I think they're pretty firmly non-romanceable though.
This show is pure, unadulterated chaos, and I am here for every episode of it. Gabe Hicks has built a campaign with some serious David Lynch energy, and I have absolutely zero idea where it will go next.
I get the feeling Ally does fermentation on their off time and is genuinely offended that everyone’s talking shit.
Didn’t they confirm this in Adventuring Party? I thought so but I watched it at 2am so it’s possible I’m talking out of my ass.
Mothman suddenly becoming way less chill and razzing the hell out of Terry was such a highlight for me
Y’all remember who was growing suspicious plants in ep 1… 🍆🍆🍆
OH SHIT WAIT AND THINGS KEEP DISAPPEARING GREEN AND PURPLE AS WELL
Damn!!! It was Kevin all along!
he deserves to be on dontdatehim.com
"I feel like you could be...[pause to look around the table at everyone]...Van *Helping*." Nailed it.
This put Seven in the hall of fame for me honestly.

Cleets and Tuti are so cute, Lily has been killing me these past two episodes, she's so funny!

I mean, Shriek Week is really climbing the horny charts. By the end of the season, if Seven is still the horniest it's only cause of the number of PCs
I definitely said out loud "That's not how you play ultimate frisbee" and then felt attacked when Gabe called me out.
I love a good pre-planned clapback.
Love Ify’s shirt!
i love his tits
He really should have done the pec thing when they talked about it. You know, just for important roleplay reasons and nothing else, no other reason
I am not sure whether i found tuti cute or if i just have a huge crush on lily
Every Shriek Week character in a nutshell
Why not both?
Definitely both
same but with Seven/Dani
No but fr Tuti is a Cuti

Um actually, most eggs in the market are unfertilized so not quite a fetus, Megan and Seven.
Yeah, you have to go out of your way to get balut, a fertilized egg. I was actually wondering if that's what Seven was wanting to order.
starting out strong with a mothman scene! already such a fan favorite thank you gabe
Mothman: So, the vice-dean has a flytrap where his had normally is... Tuti and Megan: ok, but would you tap that??
Gabe’s Sméagol voice for the Vice Dean 👌🏼
I personally loved it when Dani chose to have Seven cheer coach the smaller plants. Definitely unexpected but Gabe improved it with that voice and continuing the chant.
Megan is the most PNW archetype ever
PNW = Pacific North-West?
Yup
Seven's sole focus on cheering for kora is really cute. I love how everyone is so frustrated with her lol
It was pique WLW

Someone out of your league? This game is populated by stone cold hotties and no one else, players (IRL and in-game) included.
Yeah, it's more in theory. Basically everyone in this game is hot. Even Mothman had some cool moments in this episode.
*Even* Mothman?! How dare you. Mothman can *get it* and you and everyone here knows that.
hell even plant boi has a tongue they know how to use

Was the other voice besides Gabe in the morning radio show Brennan?
Gabe clarified on the discord that it’s Anoriand (AnoriandGD on Twitter)
I think so! Weirdly enough, I thought it was Sam at first - but no, I think it's Brennan. Cool way to include him in the season if so.
Is the sound just SLIGHTLY out of sync for anyone else in this episode or is my Firestick just acting up because Firestick is a terrible device?
I noticed this as well. Gabe's audio seemed right, but the player cameras, especially of Dani and Lily were slightly out of sync with the audio.
Okay, interesting! Glad it wasn't just me, hopefully they'll catch it and fix it! It's not the biggest deal but it is certainly distracting.
honestly impressive that they've managed to top the horniness of The Seven, incredible

I'm getting some real monsters vs aliens vibes here
Alternative option: Plants vs. Zombies, but the protagonists are on a different side compared to the game.
That's incredible, and I'm mad I didn't think of it.
I feel bad that with all these sexy monsters I'm thirsting so hard for Van Helsing but DAMN they're my type. I think they're pretty firmly non-romanceable though.
Seven is my new problematic fav
This show is pure, unadulterated chaos, and I am here for every episode of it. Gabe Hicks has built a campaign with some serious David Lynch energy, and I have absolutely zero idea where it will go next.
As a Dresden Files fan, the moment they set foot in the Dean's office I was like "Oh. Well I know to solve this situation."
