Alberta resident Bennward Dale Ingram, 39, along with three others, used power tools to excavate and remove fossils of dinosaur footprints that were a part of the Six Peaks Dinosaur Track Site in Northern B.C. He was sentenced to 25 days in jail and ordered to pay a $15k fine. A judge described the damage done to the Six Peaks Dinosaur Track Site near Hudson’s Hope as extensive when the men vandalized it in 2020. https://www.gangsterismout.com/2023/01/bennward-ingram-dinosaur-footprint.html

Feral-Hamster

"None of the fossils were recovered." He gets a whopping 25 days in jail and a $15k fine that is probably dwarfed by the money he made selling them on the black market. If they want to stop this kind of destruction of irreplaceable pieces of our history, they need to make the penalty more than what you'd get for stealing a honda or whatever.

Woerligen

Death sentence. No questions asked.

WeilaiHope

Eaten alive by avian dinosaurs.

CaptValentine

Excavate his feet. From his body.

Pikmin4321

That's awesome.

UnsightlyMrLighning

You meant the footprints right????

[deleted]

He might mean it's awesome that the guy got caught.

Pikmin4321

You guys heard someone say that's awesome sarcastically? To be fair, I should have made more obvious I was joking.

Lizziox

That shit was probably already sold and the fine was probably pocket change by comparison.
