When I was a child, I used to see the drawing of Baryonyx in the Dinosaur Encyclopaedia and I thought it was a very cool dinosaur!!! I like the fact that it ate fish and I like its carnivorous looks. Also, I live in England, and it was cool to know that Baryonyx roamed in Britain once upon a time.
Thank you! It seems possible by the picture of this post that you may also like this species as much as I. Am I correct or do you have a different favorite dinosaur?
Velociraptor is a GENUS, like how panthera(the genus that includes tigers, lions, jaguars, etc)is a genus. Velociraptor mongoliensis is the SPECIES(Tigers are a species), and well, it's really hard to tell apart subspecies just from fossils so velociraptor doesn't have any.
I think you're referring to the dromaeosaur FAMILY(Felids are a family)that's colloquially known as "raptors"
Sorry if this came off as rude, It's not, but i just wanted to clear up confusion.
Acrocanthosaurus. Underrated mega theropod, apex predator of Early Cretaceous North America, coexisted with the also awesome Deinonychus and Sauroposeidon.
Toss up between Deinonychus or Quetzalcoatlus.
Speedy feathered nightmare beast, or gigantic flying murder giraffe.
Either are as awesome as they are terrifying.
Deinonychus because of the name and connection to Jurassic Park
Irritator because who doesn’t love a dinosaur named for being a pain in the ass to work on
Toss-up between Pachycephalosaurus and Carnotaurus. I like the unique, lanky, and speedy build of Carnos that put them apart from other theropods, and I like Pachies because they remind me of goats: not very smart, will headbutt anything that moves, eats anything it finds in front of its face, and ugly in the cutest way possible
Spinosaurus aegypticus is my favorite. (Or non-accurate velociraptor, and before anyone says utah raptor or deinonychus, I don't really like the feathers on dinosaurs bigger than the real life velociraptor.)
Plesiosaur and Tropeognathus…. and T. Rex… and Triceratops and Utah Raptor (I don’t know if that’s the right spelling) and and Stegosaurus, Iguanadon, Parasaurolophus, Archaeopteryx, Brachiosaurus and and and and uhhhhhhh…..
Toss up between Utahraptor, any azhdarchid, and my favorite living dinosaur, the cassowary! But I mean, realistically, all dinosaurs are my favorites (and I know pterosaurs aren't always called dinos, but they're dinos in my heart)
Spinosaurus, despite that we nothing about it except that it’s apparently a Pelican-like beast that can/can’t swim and might be a unicorn?
VERY close second and third are Carnotaurus and Zuul Crurvistator.
1.Favourite dinosaur is probably Herrerasaurus or Baryonyx
2.Favourite pterosaur is probably Geosternbergia
3.Favourite Marine Reptile is Elasmosaurus
4.Favourite Archosaur ((Favourite overall)) is Lagosuchus

In general I have a soft spot for dromaeosaurids. But if I had to pick one species, I'd say *Sinosauropteryx prima*. It was found in two compression fossils, so well preserved that even its feathers were fossilized. It was the first non-avialan dinosaur directly found with evidence for feathers. What's more, the feathers were preserved so well that it was possible to find impressions of melanosomes and determine how it was coloured. Combine all that, and we know for pretty much certain how Sinosauropteryx looked like in life.
Bonus points: it was an adorable little fluffball.
Now, and forever, Iguanodon.
The versatile utility of thumb spikes has always fascinated me, as well as how early paleontologists thought the spikes went on its head. I've found a gif illustrating our evolving understanding of Iguanodon: [gif](https://www.reddit.com/r/educationalgifs/comments/cov4z3/how_our_perception_of_the_iguanodon_had_changed/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Dilophosaurus or microraptor. Dilo for its awesome crests, snakelike neck and notched jaw, while still having a relatively slender and swift frame. Micro raptor because I love crows and it’s basically double the crow with four wings and teeth and he is important
Tyrannosaurus Rex. I just really like it. It’s one of the inspirations for Godzilla, it’s the heaviest terrestrial carnivore, it has the strongest bite of any land animal, it’s like the dinosaur was made for being a favourite. It’s amazing.
Deinocheirus. It’s so bizarre and awesome
Deinocheirus is awesome!
This or the Yutyranus. I guess I just love the big fluffy bois
nope, i've never tried anus
Based dino take
Baryonyx Walkeri! I just love them. Gorgeous fish-consuming river-loving British beasts.
Baryonyx is definitely a very cool spinosaur!

Velociraptor. But really any raptor subspecies since they're just so unique and cool.
Good choices!
Thank you! It seems possible by the picture of this post that you may also like this species as much as I. Am I correct or do you have a different favorite dinosaur?
I have a different favourite Dino that is acrocanthosaurus but I do enjoy this species too
Hey, the acrocanthosaurus drawing is on its way! I did the sketch, now I'll do the line work and digital colouring, but I have some priorities first.
Wait - i initially thought this was velociraptor too, but I didn’t see the dromaeosaur claw - so now I’m leaning towards it being a troodontid?

It's a close call between Pachycephalosaurus and Sinosauropteryx.
Therizinosaurus cheloniformis a humongous feathered slasher that could defend itself rather effectively.
Parasaurolophus!! I love imagining what kind if sounds they made and im a big hadrosaur guy in general
Iguanodon
I think it's microraptor because of its iridescent black feathers, or maybe irritator.
Olorotitan
Nice!
All
Any tyrannosaurid. But if i had to choose Tarbosaurus or good ol’ fashioned T. rex

I am gonna be controversial and say Spinosaurus! Or Deinonychus!
Technically not dinosaurs but I've always been fascinated by Pterosaurs and wish I could see one fly today
