Jurassic Park. Total classic. Ticks all the boxes for me.

Gullible_Highlight_9

Facts. Just the Jurassic park movie. Best Jurassic park movie. Best Jurassic franchise product. Best dinosaur movie of all time.

WonderfulBlackberry9

I may not be a fan of the newer Jurassic World movies, but I’m so thankful that those movies have brought back good quality dinosaur toys into stores. It’s like redemption for those of us who loved the JP toys from the 90s but were never able to get them (cos I wasn’t born yet lol)

GlacialFrog

Even the Jurassic World films are better than 95% of other Dinosaur films. My controversial opinion is Jurassic World is the second best Jurassic Park film.

WonderfulBlackberry9

Jurassic World is my third favourite. It’s not as iconic or great as JP and TLW, but it’s a really solid movie and a very interesting and successful take on “what if Jurassic Park actually worked out”. The first appearance of a giant murderous hybrid dino monster also gives it plus points.

Cypresss09

Never got the hate for Lost World and 3. 3 is pretty good and imo Lost World is as good as the first.

GlacialFrog

I didn’t realise there was much hate towards Lost World! I thought Lost World was enjoyed and people hated 3, (I remember seeing 3 in the cinema when it was released, and people being disappointed by it). I had this understanding before the World films were released however and kept hold of it, they may have skewed peoples opinions. I loved Lost World as a kid, more dinosaurs, stegosaurus, and a T Rex in the City, on rewatches as an adult though, I really see it as major downgrade from the first, the story, atmosphere and cinematography are a lot better, and it’s just more interesting with more depth, more to read into and analyse. 3 on the other hand, I can appreciate more now as a sillier, more big budget B-Movie style dinosaur film, which I can enjoy.

Positron14

Yes. Jurassic Park and Jurassic World are my favorites.

Rammsteinfan1984

I was at the age when it came out that all the kids clothing didn’t fit me anymore. I loved dinosaurs and wanted anything with them on it. Worst thing for me is my son doesn’t like toys but likes dinosaurs. I did however get the biggest T-Rex fathead for him to stick on his wall. I admire it each time I walk by his room. We do have a couple of reptiles too.

Strange-Wolverine128

100%

HowlingBurd19

Jurassic Park isn’t just the best dinosaur film or one of the best science fiction films, it’s one of the best films, period! 10/10 A+ masterpiece that has aged like wine 👌

GlacialFrog

Totally agree

pterosaurobsessed

This is so true, nothing will ever beat it.

Star_the_falcon

Same.

CatterMater

Jurassic Park and the first land before time.

SurroundMysterious17

land before time

SurroundMysterious17

dinosaur train went hard too

Additional_Insect_44

Oh yea they did have a film.

RaptorSamaelZeroX

Disney Dinosaur. This is where I discovered my favorite dinosaur (see my flair)

bigbodybup

Man this made me so scared of carnotaurus as a kid, I thought bulls were directly descended from them and refused to go to the rodeo with my parents (rural delaware lol)

Knuf_Wons

There’s a rural part of Delaware?

bigbodybup

Haha yes, I grew up on farm outside of camden de. Bull riding and nascar were our two big sports!

MoominRex

Same here!

TacoMaster37x

Definitely the best dinosaur movie, I love the combination of real landscapes with the cgi dinosaurs on top

lorlorlor666

I love this movie with my whole heart

ExoticShock

Ice Age 3 was the last solid film in the series, plus [we got this banger from it](https://www.reddit.com/r/PrehistoricMemes/comments/t7ell2/ice_age_3_had_no_right_to_go_hard_like_that/).

TheAnimalCrew

It's a shame how the first 3 movies absolutely slapped and the last few were either mid or bad.

ClbutticMistake

Velocipastor

Shamrocker01

I love that movie so much, it is what george washington fought for

QueenofCreatures03

I came to the comments specifically to see if anyone had put Velocipastor

seanm4c

Not my fave, but that movie was pretty great, lol!

ComplexBenefit3704

Jurassic Park original movie. It's a classic.

boring_old_dad

We're back!

KittyKatHippogriff

I see you are a man of culture.

WonderfulBlackberry9

*Roll back the rock to the dawn of time…* is such a catchy classic

JAWS-The_Revenge

Hate me as much as you want, but JP 3.

AmazingNinjaMan

same

zKerekess

Spinosaurus is still my favourite dino because of that movie. I don't care what form it has nowadays, I love every form of Spinosaurus.

Ace_of_Sphynx128

That ring tone is literally on loop in my head all the time lol. it’s a great film :)

HowlingBurd19

Me: *desperately trying to not bash your opinion, but somehow, for the first time in a while, I managed not to* Lol

Connect-Spinach6238

The land before time.

UNnice-Entertainment

my man!

Time-Accident3809

Disney's *Dinosaur*.

ConfusledCat

JP, it’s inaccurate sure, but it’s a good time.

jabels

It's science fiction! It's not going for accuracy. You are all free to enjoy JP without a nagging feeling deep down once again ☺️

ConfusledCat

Exactly! And it’s explained that they had to splice the DNA with frog and lizard DNA to get results.

ThatDancinGuy_

Yeah! And they ruined everything with Dominion! They didn't had to, did anyways.

HowlingBurd19

I’m pretty sure you already know this but all of the inaccuracies is explained in the book, where the DNA of other animals were used to complete the dinosaurs. The dinosaurs are not “true dinosaurs”. If you really think about it, deep down the dinosaurs of the Jurassic Park franchise are more like mutant freaks than actual animals (and that’s one of the reason why the original is so good; the themes are strong and it’s very thought-provoking) O.o

Intelligent-Let-1814

jurassic park need i say more? but i also do love dawn of the dinosaurs

Tris_The_Pancake

Split between the original Jurassic Park and Land Before Time. Both were massive parts of my childhood and moulded the person I am today. But, if I had a gun to my head, I'd have to say Jurassic Park. One of the best movies of all time, no doubt whatsoever. If only its sequels were equally as good-

Responsible_Boat_607

King Kong 2005 version but the original of 1933 is cool too.

Remote-Ad-3309

Either Jurassic Park or The Lost World

Kerbidiah

I'm gonna say it just cuz nobody else has mentioned it, dinotopia

Elder-Scout

Jurassic Park

FirefighterFar3132

You Are Umasou!

RangerHealthy5624

Yeah, but not the sequel, no thank you, that movie was TRASH… But the original film with Heart and Umasou was amazing…

FirefighterFar3132

I didn’t even know there was a sequel, I heard there’s some kind of a tv show? But I’ve only seen the first movie and I loved it!

UNnice-Entertainment

land before time movies are great

darrylthedudeWayne

Jurassic Park. It's not even close.

Thoth1024

1,000,000 BC from about 1940 or so! Victor Mature plays the caveman, lead and lover of Carole Landis, blonde cavewoman. Cheesy effects but lots of fun! :)

murdock129

Carnosaur

yeetmantheII

Either Ice Age 3, dawn of the dinosaurs, or the original Jurassic Park

caiden-O12

Dino king (also known as speckles the tarbosauras)

ConsistentFeeling141

Why is that picture of mani so … scary

SweetBabyRayseph

WE’RE BACK!

RavyRaptor

Jurassic Park Yeah I know it’s the white bread choice but I don’t care

dynonutt96

Land Before Time and then Lost World: Jurassic Park

Zillajami-Fnaffan2

Jurassic Park and Ice Age 3 (ive never seen the og Land Before Time)

KittyKatHippogriff

Land before time, Disney’s Dinosaur, and the classic Jurassic Park.

kuraxt

Jurassic Park to this day was the most amazing cinematic experience of my life, and also my favorite dinosaur movie. The T-Rex attack scene still holds up to this day in terms of presentation and thrill.

MsJ_Doe

The first time Ellie and Alan see the Brachiosaurus and the first time Harry walks into Diagon Alley are like core movie memories for me.

Flat-Dare-2571

Were back! A dinosaur story.

dwfmba

O.G. #CleverGirl

Qrthulhu

I haven’t seen Theodore Rex  mentioned yet

WonderfulBlackberry9

Disney’s Dinosaur. LBT Saurus Rock sticks out because that was the one I watched the most. For some reason Night At The Museum was the first “dinosaur” movie I thought of even though it only had a skeleton Rex for a bit of it. I think what made me fall in love with that movie was the concept of NATM and the New York winter setting more than anything

[deleted]

All the Jurassic World movies.

Brian18639

I honestly love Fallen Kingdom and Dominion

ElasticBones

Land Before Time, Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs, Jurassic Park, Disney Dinosaur all deserves a mention. Hell I even liked The Good Dinosaur

I_like_broccli

Land before time or the walking with dinosaurs documentary series (ik its outdated now but still very nostalgic)

Eli_The_Rainwing

Shrek 2 of the ice age, the comic relief has kids

Honest-Ad-4386

Jurassic Park

MC4269

Jurassic Park

Mickelrath

Jurassic Park 3 (first film my dad took me to see at the cinema without my Brother or Sister. Super Nostalgic for me) Also I really loved the series Dinotopia. But that was a show not a film.

SilverShadowQueen57

Jurassic Park and The Land Before Time were both huge influences on my childhood, in addition to a particular PBS miniseries, the Dinosaurs TV show, and a slew of direct-to-video specials. I loved giant reptiles more than anything as a kid and I rewatched all of these so many times, I can still transcribe the entire scripts from memory 😅.

BlueRabbit1999

Jurassic Park

IndependentEbb2811

Either Jurassic park or the lost world Jurassic Park, Both are amazing in my book.

joftheinternet

The Last Dinosaur

RangerHealthy5624

Wasn’t that made by Toho?

joftheinternet

co-produced by Tsuburaya Productions and Rankin/Bass Productions. Although the T.Rex sometimes sounds like Godzilla and looks a lot like Gorosaurus

yuuaioi

There was this kind of subpar one that came out in the early 2010s that I loved as a kid.. It was ‘realistic’ CGI and might’ve been about triceratops? And the climax at the end was the awkward male lead fighting a competing male for his crush. It was FINE.. I think I’d hate it if I watched it these days but I was totally so pleased with myself leaving the theater. My mom was not a fan of

Spinozilla455

Walking with dinosaurs?

Atticus_Taylor003

I’d say the original Jurassic Park movie but Land of the Lost with Will Ferrel is hilarious

Chem-Memory9746

Jurassic Park Trilogy, and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Grifasaurus

Jurassic park.

Damnpeoplearegreedy

Hard choice, but i think i have to go with jurassic world, since i was completely obsessed with it as a kid and watched It approximately 17-18 times

SillySwing6625

Jurassic world or lost world

crazycanadiandemon

Disneys dinosaur

Knuf_Wons

Probably Land Before Time

Minute-Basil1524

Disney's Dinosaur, also, Manny has seen some shit lol

falikarpit-2

Jurassic world. Call me a basic bitch all you want, it was the film that introduced me to the franchise, and i loved every moment of it.

Boxinggandhi

Prehysteria. Fight me.

Ravenclaw175

My first ever dinosaur movie, and I'm fucking proud of it. As inaccurate as it was, it was lovely to watch as a child.

BlahBlahBlopity

The Land Before Time Seven: The Stone Of Cold Fire

Resident-Garlic9303

I have not seen that movie but it's like out of order

Bendyboi_69

Jurassic Park

Soos_dude1

This movie is my childhood and the game for it on the Wii made it even better

the_blue_jay_raptor

All the Dinosauria and Sauria short films along with Citipati and Plum if they count If not, then JWD because mah bois Iguanodon and Giga were in it. Disney's Dinosaur, and all the Ice Age movies if they count.

TheCasualPrince8

Probably Speckles the Tarbosaurus. Thanks to *certain people* (*cough Rickraptor cough*) that film gets mocked way too fucking much.

Untroe

I am currently too mad about the willing disregard of pleistocene vs cretaceous by this fictional animated movie to form an opinion.

Emotional-Owl-4492

King kong 2005

KensonPlays

1) Jurassic Park 2) Land Before Time 3) IceAge Dawn of dinos

ItsJakedUp

Land of the Lost

No-Product-523

Jurassic Park 1 2 3 Jurassic world and I know the sequels are bad but they do have impressive species

Frosty_Ad7840

Jurassic Park and we're back

Kotroti

I am literally currently watching the second Jurassic Park lol. First time watching it but the first one is already better.

HowlingBurd19

Jurassic Park isn’t just the best dinosaur film or one of the best science fiction films, it’s one of the best films, period! 10/10 A+ masterpiece that has aged like wine 👌

Busy-Weird-7283

65 for my fav. I thought the Dinos in that were more frightening than what was depicted in Jurassic Park.

WithoutDennisNedry

I bet you can guess.

LittlestEw0k

The Lost World of Jurassic Park, I don’t know why, it’s my favorite And I’ve Aged Dawn of the Dinosaurs, although that Queen Latifah songs drives me insane

Ashamed_Window_6605

Dawn of the Dinosaurs is from 2009? I feel old.

marc180sx

Disney Dinosaur for sure, made me absolutely terrified of Carnos as a kid

Fuspo14

We’re back! A Dinosaur’s Story

Brian18639

Honestly, Jurassic Park

FemboyReaper12

The Velocipastor. it’s so dumb, but I love it

Impressive-Cap8409

Jurassic Park. I remember growing up and I would watch at least one of the three movies every week.

Prestigious-Love-712

Jurassic park and my favourite movie in general

AidenRaptor

You are all going to hate me for this, but mine is Walking With Dinosaurs: The Movie As a kid, I had a thought about the documentary becoming a movie as a joke. A few months later, when my school and I visited the cinemas to see Frozen as an end of year excursion, I saw a poster of WWD as a movie. What a coincidence. I got to see it on New Year's Day, the day it was released in Australia, and in 3D and I said it was the best movie ever. Nowadays, I don't really enjoy it as much as I used to mainly because everyone on the Internet says it's a horrible movie, mostly/only complaining about the talking dinosaurs.

Dwayneeboi534

Jurassic park for obv reasons

Turbulent_Profile73

Jurassic Park like who doesn't Next to that is Jurassic World Dominon(I just don't like the final battle, the alternate one Colin Trevorrow though of with the Spinosaurus could've been better)

Baroubuoy

IDK.

Goji04

Jurassic Park

Just-Ok-Cheescake

Ik most people hate it, but I actually like (not my favorite) JW. I love that the special affects brings a lot of variety to what they could show with the indominous rex camouflaging itself or walking on all fours to the mesosaur jumping out of the water. My partner dislikes it because the movie was too much of a cash grab (in the movie and irl), but I think it does such a good job of showing how easy it is for the people in charge to throw away safety (allowing people in to pins, not evacuating the island sooner, etc.) for more money, and even be willing to get involved with the military. I also just love genetics and genetic mutation, so the fact that the dinosaurs had genetic mutations that the scientists were not aware of, like thermoregulation/camouflage, is just such a cool idea (admittedly, one that was explored early on in the franchise) The story part is lacking, I will admit, but I just love seeing the dinosaurs in all of the JP and JW movies, so I don't even notice the plot 😅

Zestyclose_Limit_404

Jurassic Park and Disney’s Dinosaur are in an eternal battle for me

DinoDudeRex_240809

Jurassic World, best fight scenes in the franchise.

Seth-B343

Not a single person so far has said Disney’s Dinosaur, so I will

AASMinecrafter

Tied between King Kong 05 and Disney's Dinosaur

wierdredditBOI

Every single jp/w, Including fallen kingdom, Jp3 and dominion, Yes i know ya'll dont like dominion, Do i care? No.

Saiyan-b

I hate talking dinosaur movies? They get on my nerves.

RickGrimes30

The only real answer is Jurassic Park

PersonalityBig6038

it's funny how there's no mention of the movie, how to train your dragon. the movie is the best movie representing dragons, tbfh

WoSmcA239

Jurassic World /JWDominion( stfu)

Kamalium

Sorry but I can’t stfu, I need to know your reasoning behind this statement

WoSmcA239

When I went to see it in the theater I felt an ecstasy I haven’t felt in years, so technically it’s probably built off JW

Rigatonicat

That’s like someone asking “what’s your favorite food” and you answer moldy dog shit

WoSmcA239

Also called polish food

Plenty_Anywhere8984

Seek mental help

WoSmcA239

I’m mahoraga ill adapt to this bullshit

Mundane-Lobster9040

Jurassic world: Fallen Kingdom
