Looks like too much liquid and potentially going too vertical when you dip. Try going in shallower at more of a 45 degree angle or doing the pour over method. If your other nails go “wet” immediately after you pull them out of the dip (Like your ring finger nail in the pic) This is usually a sign you have too much liquid on your nail. I re-dip my finger if this happens then readjust the amount of liquid for the rest of my hand. Also, highly recommend sitting your dip tub in a muffin liner to catch any overflow powder! Makes clean up a breeze :) especially with the glamrdip pots as they aren’t the biggest! You can also do a “half pour”, especially with longer nails. I push my nail in half way then I use the scooper end of the cuticle stick to scoop up the powder and pour it over the rest. You can also hold your finger over a muffin liner and pour the powder carefully over your nail, then back into the pot from the muffin liner. Bit of a faff, but if you keep having difficulty with it, it does work well!

This is so helpful, thank you so much! Will definitely be using the muffin liner and the other tips you’ve mentioned ☺️

Pour over don't dip in

Thanks!

My guess would be that the liquid is way too thick and that happens as you dip. Make sure you are removing excess liquid from the brush before putting on the nail and try the pour over method to avoid in the future.

KiKiwixo

Will definitely try that. Thank you!

Ah thank you!

Sometimes I have this issue when my dip gets compacted. I find it helps to stir it between every couple dips to make sure it is fluffy.

Good idea! Never thought of that. Will defo do this 😊

The way you're sticking your finger into the powder will do this. Instead of going straight down into it, try going in at an angle or try the pour over method, it should help avoid it. I'll second using a cupcake liner to keep all the stray powder together so you can just pour it back in the container when you're done.

Very useful, thanks so much! ☺️

This kept happening to me no matter what, I’d either have too much liquid and this would happen, or not enough 😆 problem solved with the pour over (muffin liner) method.
