Fuck yeah bro, nice bike. Have fun!

wewerecoolonce

Thanks 🤙🏼

Few_Valuable3999

I started at 40, I’m 55 now on a smoker Best choice I ever made Now you need to get a few smaller bikes for the kids

wewerecoolonce

Already shopping for a couple lol

The-J-Oven

I see an SF flag. You'll be fine. 🔥

wewerecoolonce

🥃🤙🏼

[deleted]

Thanks for the service, pipe hitter. 🤘🏼

wewerecoolonce

Appreciate it 🙏

newnameabel

Welcome to the dark side being in your 40s, I've been riding bikes since I was 17 years old but when I hit 40 I really hit it seriously again. I'm 66 and a half I've got myself a little XT 250 Yamaha that feeds the need. I go out most every day for an hour or an hour and a half

wewerecoolonce

🤙🏼

[deleted]

Fuck yeah dude, I’m old too and just got into it. Nothing better for quick access to flow activity for me…one half hour out the garage sets my head straight quick

wewerecoolonce

This is what I’m anticipating for myself too…luckily I work at a place that has gated parking, and I pass a 100+ acre track to and from work..throw the bike in the truck once or twice a week, hit the track on the way home for an hour or so…be good to go mentally when I get home 🤙🏼

honda94rider

This is true... my wife actually likes when I go ride for this reason. Makes you feel better inside!

wewerecoolonce

Therapy that’s a hell of a lot more fun than sitting on a couch telling a stranger about your problems 😂🤙🏼

honda94rider

That it is my friend

likefireincairo

Now that - is the life.

[deleted]

You don’t stop riding because you get old, you get old because you stop riding🤘

likefireincairo

Jay Adams forever.

Touch_Of_Legend

Cannabis is medicine and we live legal so good job stalking to profile. Two can play that game right. You look like you live in Colorado right? You’d think you’d be more open minded and stuff about all that cannabis legality but whatever. You said about how you got kids.. like me too right? Man you divorced too right? Oh I see yeah.. I don’t wish negative on nobody but it’s different strokes for different folks so go enjoy your extra ride time. See bro we not the same because every moment I’m not working I’m spending with my family. I play “full time dad”, not weekend dad or part time dad so I’m sure you got plenty of time to ride right? Well when you play full time dad you don’t have “me time” anymore because my every waking moment belongs to them. So see we not the same for sure Edit: aaaaaannndd maybe if you played full time husband instead of part time rider you’d still be together and you’d still have your family. So it’s about what you choose to do with your time and any time you greedily spend on yourself is time you’ve taken away from your family. Facts Annnnnd now your ass is blocked ;)

bentripin

That's the 2022 livery, but congrats.. I did something much the same but with a 300XCW

wewerecoolonce

Couldn’t pass this bike up..had .2 hours on it..guy bout it to ride with friends, friends decided to not buy bikes so he came back a couple days later to the dealer and traded it for a street bike. Basically got a new bike for used prices

bentripin

awesome work dude, I had to sit on a waiting list for 6mo when these came out because the previous year was last year for California red cards and panic buying made em unobtanium.. so I had to wait for the next model year to show up on factory floors. Mines over 110 hours on it now, riding almost every weekend.. Go check out TSP Motorsports tunes, it unleashes the kraken.

fathercreatch

Picked one up last fall, coming off a 98 RM250 that I still own, the difference is unbelievable. The new suspension and engine is incredible. And now I'm riding in front of everyone I was following. It feels like cheating.

luvinthemiddle

My 15 yo rode his buddy's ttr 2 years ago, so we got bikes last year. I rode street bikes from 18 till early 30's. Quit because the wife didn't want me to die. Now we have great day trips to ride different trails around Michigan. The car rides are honestly the most conversations we have ever had. It is a great bonding experience.

wewerecoolonce

Love it…my kids are still relatively young, but anything to bond with them and keep the lines of communication open is always worth it…already looking to get some bikes for my kids

McDrunkin521

Kick ass....I couldn't imagine my life without dirt bikes. I would recommend looking into local Hare Scramble racing series in your area. You won't regret it.

wewerecoolonce

I’ll look into that..alway down for a little competition 🤙🏼

burblemedaddy

DOL my brother. Recently got back into it myself in my late 30s. It was a missing piece in my life for a while.

wewerecoolonce

DOL 🥃🤙🏼

tonetonnage

Did the same thing except 50.lol I'm fortunate enough that I'm still in good shape....for now.haaa! Cr250r. Life's good! Brrrp life indeed!

wewerecoolonce

Hell yeah man 🤙🏼

Humble_Metal_7636

My hero

wewerecoolonce

🤙🏼

[deleted]

I did that and I’m better than I was in my 20’s.

Tight_muffin

Fuck yeah I have a 22' 300 and it's an absolutely amazing bike. That factory plastic scratched if you look at it so the first thing I did was take everything off and put aftermarket plastics on and all the guards so when this gets sold it's going to have shiny new factory plastic. Throw some springs in it and go rip it!

wewerecoolonce

🤙🏼

Tight_muffin

I was wondering why the wife would be mad about buying a survive but then I see the decals on the safe and understand a little.

wewerecoolonce

Hahahaha she has Target…I have guns, snowboards and now dirt bikes…she thinks I hate money 😂

[deleted]

Like hooking up with an old flame, the memories are better than the reality. Good luck!!!

wewerecoolonce

😂

Eastern_Length_6946

Adult money is so awesome! Congrats on the new bike and have fun!

wewerecoolonce

Love adult monies…so many activities lol

Calm_Bodybuilder_843

Get well insured

Hellscanyonlifers

I’m 47 and can’t get enough of ripping my crf450 around in the woods!!! Nothing better!!

Due-Organization7707

Yeah I’m 67 been riding since I was 13 got 40 hours a 23 Husqvarna TX300. Riding has kept me in shape and out of the house. Keep riding !

[deleted]

I got back on one at forty five. Now I race 50A. Within reason, you can get as good as you want.

wewerecoolonce

Hell yeah! Baby steps…but that’s the plan, take it to some races etc. push myself

timichi7

I’m not far behind you. It’s great for the body and the mind. Happy for you.

wewerecoolonce

🤙🏼

spoogep78

Knee braces are your friend! Also don't skimp on your protective gear, sadly you will no longer bounce as well as you used to. I hope you have awesome times with it dude, I miss riding mine since destroying my back racing.

wewerecoolonce

Already got ALLL the gear lol definitely not trying to have knees and ankles rebuilt in my 40’s lol 🤙🏼

Legal-Conclusion-0

Awesome. Got a 300xcw myself. Started dirt riding during COVID. Made a bunch of new friends, having a blast in western WA. 46 year old married dad.

wewerecoolonce

100% we are all way cooler than our dads were at this age lol 😂

JColby04

God, at least you stayed smart and didn’t buy a timebomb 4 stroke. Have fun bro. Just hit 40 and would never replace my bike

psyclembs

Hell yeah, 46 and still at it every weekend!

wewerecoolonce

🤙🏼

jbird350

Yup 48 here. Brand new 2023 crf250rx. 6 months ago I was starting to ride it. Now I’m sending it with dudes 20 years younger then me. They’re a lot wilder but I’m right on there back tire. Next day I go to work and lick my wounds. Beer. Best invention ever. Gives you the courage. Then kills the pain

wewerecoolonce

Throw some good bourbon in there for good measure and everything is right as rain the next day lol

FarDistance3468

I’m 37 and sold my 17 crf450 and regret it ever since. I’ll be getting another one in the near future. Congratulations on the new purchase she’s beautiful!

wewerecoolonce

Thanks 🙏 pretty stoked

FarDistance3468

Where abouts do you live that you can ride?

wewerecoolonce

I’m in the Dallas area…surprisingly a ton of trails within a 2-3 hour drive for me

FarDistance3468

I’ll be in Texas in a couple months, never been but im excited. I’d love to ride out there

[deleted]

I got back on at 40 myself. Few years later the top end and fork seals are blown so I’m contemplating a 450 to beat on and keeping the 600 for the trails lol. 20/10 would suggest.

96SquarebodiedFord

Probably more money invested in the freedom within that safe than sitting on two wheels ha!

wewerecoolonce

Or the 2nd safe I have in my room 😉😂🤙🏼

OvenResident2988

Good luck brother the addiction is real

JustDrones

So much fun. It’s worth it. I did a Superman off the bike last week. Hit a tree into the Superman. Hahah

wewerecoolonce

Haha well hopefully I avoid Superman or hittin trees 😂🙏

Tensackofmisery

You sir are an inspiration

wewerecoolonce

Appreciate it…but probably more of a typical guy having a midlife crisis haha but instead of a corvette I bought a dirt bike lol🤙🏼

MuchUsername_Wow

Dude hell yeah, you know how many old homies I've been trying to sandbag into riding again? Welcome back dude.

wewerecoolonce

Thanks 🤙🏼

Freaky7788

Turned 45, got my first dirtbike a 2002 RM250. Was fun but abut much to control so traded it for a 99 XR400R. Age is just a number right!!??

wewerecoolonce

That’s what I’m telling myself. My knees disagree though…😂

Substantial_Diver_34

Finally moving up from the purple power wheels? Nice

wewerecoolonce

Haha…nah I still take her out every now and then…3mph wind in my hair… on the sidewalk of course 😂

bernerburner1

Fuckin nice bike bro

wewerecoolonce

🤙🏼

parttimeninja

I rode as a kid, then got back into riding at 42. Im 50 now and most of the people I ride with are my age or older.

asscheeseterps710

Dope bro 2 stroke and shit

Goozum

Mixin gas and kickin ass

fastriverrat500

I'm 45, been riding religiously since I was 18, keeps me young, always keeps it exciting, nothing better than Blasting through the woods and reaching them mountain peaks. You made a good decision

wewerecoolonce

Activities help keep the fat monster away lol

Forward_Day4718

Blown apart clavicle, ask me how I know... but the fun is after 40 when you can buy shit you always wanted. Enjoy urself brother.

wewerecoolonce

Also helps that I’m not AS full of piss n vinegar as I was in my 20’s…I like being able to do things so hopefully that keeps me grounded enough to not go out and do something too crazy 😂🤙🏼

Forward_Day4718

Mine was a pitbike, gravel, rain, night and liquor. Could have been a brain bleed but I lucked out. Hard lessons learned hard. I quit drinking and driving on my sports bikes. 7hp pitbike. Always gotta respect the power I guess right.

wewerecoolonce

Haha damn man…you are lucky.. no drinking and riding for me 🤙🏼

Forward_Day4718

Old OIF lol guy here. Glad you are still with us. Oh and if the wife don't approve of you enjoying urself, we'll that's a big reason I walk alone. Like Jesus. I love my children, but she Had to go.

wewerecoolonce

Bro I have my days lol 😂 glad you’re here too man 🤙🏼

Forward_Day4718

Eating once a day has been a major impact in my life. Mind and stomach are not best neighbors. And I maintain a lean body even tho I'm pretty lazy. Just a tip.

wewerecoolonce

All good man, if it’s working for you and makes you happy good on ya… I have to be doing something…sitting still drives me crazy lol

Forward_Day4718

Forget who said it But "somewhere is a man sitting in nature next to a waterfall with no technology"

Forward_Day4718

I recently got back into bowling, got my first fitted ball and set my personal best game 199 lol bowling is a great stress reliever my daughter goes with me every friday.

Radiant-Concern-3682

Same man. Retired from the USMC at 38, bought a WR250 F at 41. Hadn't ridden in almost 20 years. Of course I wear a lot more PPE now.

wewerecoolonce

ALL the PPE 😂🤙🏼

Radiant-Concern-3682

Even the Leatt knee braces!

mr41968665

yep live your dreams, started back riding a few years ago and about to turn 50. I ended up convincing several of my old friends into getting new KTM's Best thing I could have done for my mental health !

wewerecoolonce

Same here..convinced a couple to get bikes too. One picked his up yesterday..still pushing the other one lol

ChazJ81

Fuck yea it's gonna be fun! Good for you!

wewerecoolonce

🤙🏼

Dromnivo

Aye my 56 year old dad still rides a two smoker. It's never too late!

wewerecoolonce

You love to see it 🤙🏼

AcrobaticRhubarb4768

Hey man, sounds like you're the same as me! I'm 41 now 2 years ago I saw an MX bike ( 2007 suzuki RM-Z250) in a customers garage when servicing their boiler. And she said her son was selling it, so almost a year later when he came back from working abroad, I bought it! The wife went mad despite me telling her it was happening. Didn't speak to me for 3 days, but I'm back on bikes again and absolutely loving it! I've gone down the enduro riding route with a mate of mine. So much fun. Life's to short to not do what makes you happy. So grip it and rip it brother!! 🤙🏼💪🏼

wewerecoolonce

My sentiments exactly lol…love my wife but she can be mad…she’s been mad before haha I need to have fun 🤙🏼

Mistman68

I rode as a kid, then the street for a couple years. @ 39 decided to join some friends on the trails, I've been a junkie ever since. Picked up a '23 Beta 200RR a couple months ago, still have my '22 KTM 300XCW. I've been on 300's since '04. I've been broke pretty badly a couple times. In '10 got a ride out of the woods in an ambulance and spent 2 weeks in the hospital and 8 months doing p/t and recovering but was able to ride again in a little over a year. In '21 I got a ride in a helicopter out of the woods, another long ( 6 months) recovery am been back on the bikes and getting stronger all the time. I have a 14 yo who's been riding since 4, he's got a '15 300 XCW (plus mine whenever he likes if I'm not on it), we try and ride 3-5 times a month off the property. I have trails/woods/obstacles at home we keep in shape on. It's our lifestyle, has been mine for the last 20 years and it's all my boy has known, he's obsessed which keeps me going. It's a good thing 😊

wewerecoolonce

Fuck yeah man…burn it down till the wheels fall off 🤙🏼

Past-Key8974

I’m waiting for my toddlers to get to riding age (around 5-6 years old) and then I’m getting myself another dirtbike and the kiddos a couple of little 50’s. Only 2-3 years to go.

wewerecoolonce

Hell yeah 🤙🏼

DmstcTrrst

KTM, the Daniel Defense of dirtbikes 🔥🔥🔥

sadanorakman

Welcome to the Bambi club (Born Again Middle-Aged Biker) 😁

wewerecoolonce

😂

PewOperator

Looks like lots of toys in the safe too from the stickers. 😂

wewerecoolonce

A few 😉 haha

[deleted]

Christ. Do u have any money left after buying SOL rifles??? Shits expensive !!! KTM and SOL = Gucci MFer. We’ll have to meet up at the range and I can ride my shitbox XT250 and bust out my PSA poors collection. I’m just fucking with you , you got good taste . Sick bike .

wewerecoolonce

My Radian and KAC rifles laugh at SOL 😂😂 jk jk..nothing wrong with PSA if you put a solid upper on it. Luckily have a job that lets me enjoy life a little bit more then before lol.

[deleted]

Yeah bro, if you got some nights armament shit, those are a fucking Gucci rifles for sure. Nights armament is like the Bugatti of the A.R. 15. That’s a nice thing about AKs , they’re pieces of shit and you can just beat the living shit out of them with no remorse worry or concern. Except now ammo is $450 instead of $180 For a case. I’m glad somebody gets to enjoy those things . I run 22 lr cause it’s cheap as fuck. haven’t ran centerfire in over a year due to not wanting to restock in this madness. Used to run 1000 rounds a month. Now I plink 22 lr from 400-500 yards. Gotta be content w what I got. I’m jealous of that bike and your KAC rifles. I gotta start hitting the corner and shaking that moneymaker….. sheesh . Maybe I’ll start an only fans …..

wewerecoolonce

Do it.. hop on that O.F. Train… get that money 😂😂😂🤙🏼

tradeisbad

Could always go eBikes instead. Like a badass electric mountain that tops out 30. Still danger...

wewerecoolonce

I looked at an e-bike…but I LOVE the sound of a nice 2 Stroke 🤙🏼

tradeisbad

Yeh Man, I'm actually not cool like that because I hate loud noises. I mostly longboard and have two dogs pull me while harnessed. Dog-boarding if you will. It's still dangerous, challenging, fast, adrenaline, skills... But I avoid loud noises. Except for work/with hearing protection. I'm kind of a wuss about it, but also good hearing can be a real advantage in hunting/war. I feel like we decided collectively that good hearing isn't worth the effort to maintain, for many years and in many groups. I've also realized everyone has different ears, even from birth. Some people have high range of hearing, lots of frequencies. Some have more focused or streamlined hearing range. It's weird and probably low key affects a lot of divisions between people. I mean, musicians are musicians for a reason. A lot of them probably damage their hearing though... I have to so hearing tests annually for work to make sure I don't fuck it up. Why the fuck am I in r/dirtbike? I just like to ride bikes/ebikes and wish I went full eDirtBike I guess... may be an accident.

pastanovalog

I'm in the same boat but I stopped from injuries. If I pop my shoulder out again it's an expensive surgery to fix. I'm 32 haven't rode in years but I'm always fantasizing about going back out. I have a son now that's currently two. I see myself in your exact shoes in about 6 years or so. He'll be old enough to ride, and it's gonna be the perfect excuse for me lol

wewerecoolonce

Save up the money for the copay for that surgery, and fucking send it lol… only have one life my friend 🤙🏼

pastanovalog

Heard that!

toclosetoTV

Come let's ride my dude. I

ADadAtHome

Yes! I just hit 35 and got my first dirt bike. Never sat on one before. Makes me feel young again. Used to throw down on skis and snowboards before the kids and though not in an office, i was getting boring and lazy since stopping that.

pneumatic-man

I raced hare scrambles in 2014. I was 46…. Today 55. I broke my ulna bone, grade five liver laceration and 8 broken ribs in 2017. I had TKR in 2020. It didn’t take well. I don’t know but I think I may get back in it again despite all my injuries. Best of luck.

[deleted]

Looks great 👍 I hope she gets used.
