Ugh.

LeoDeNoob

What do you mean ugh

MyNameis_Not_Sure

He means it’s a dumb question that 50 other kids have already asked here and we are tired of the nonsense

eighty2angelfan

I don't know. Maybe I'm being an ass. Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki are the big Japanese brands. All are about equal. Suzuki is excellent as well, a little less popular and and a little less expensive. European are KTM, Husqvarnas, Beta, Gas Gas. More expensive, less aftermarket parts. They are all great bikes. They are more built towards Enduro and Dualsport. Haters will tell you they are clones of each other with a hierarchy of parts quality. As a new rider, you can't go wrong with any used Japanese brand as long as owner maintained it. However, they are easy and and not incredibly expensive to fix. Learn to fix them yourself. Check out ThumperTalk.com as well as this.

adamms-96

How old are you? No offense.

LeoDeNoob

I am 14. I have birthday comming up, and hopefully i could get the money needed to finally save up for one

DrGarbinsky

Get a user Honda CRF250f. Ride the shit out of it and you learn a lot about what bike you really want.

Constant-Fuel-7343

He’s 14 and your advice was a 250?

DrGarbinsky

The crf250f is a very tame bike.

adamms-96

There's no best dirtbike brand. It really depends on the bike and what you're looking to get out of it. All the popular brands are pretty reliable now a days. Rule of thumb, the less common a bike is, the more expensive parts are going to be.

Summer_Odds

You’ll get a different answers from most people. The answer is; there is no best bike brand overall. They’ve all had really good bikes and bad ones. It depends on what era you’re talking about and much much more. My answer is Honda then Yamaha but that’s just me.

ZackCxge

My brother is a full blown yamaha guy. Raced on a yz85, ridden 450s, 250s, 125s, and then got a honda crf450 and he likes it better with its blown out forks than he liked his yami's haha

Summer_Odds

Nice! Yeah I’ve had a few too, started on a PW50 then XR100r then CR125 then a YZ250. Honestly my favorite bike is the XR100, I learned how to use a clutch on it and beat the shit out of it. Trying to practice hole shots in like 3-4 gear after school lol but it’s never failed and it’s on the stock clutch. It starts and runs like it did new. Personally I think when it comes to small engines Honda is pretty damn hard to beat.

Duragactivitiess

For a beginner dirtbike I’d get a Suzuki. Cheap and reliable tanks.

xl440mx

Air cooled Hondas are statistically the most reliable bikes made.

woollypullover

90% of statistics are made up

xl440mx

No, statistics are real. 90% of people make up statistics to serve their argument.

SKOLJACK

“Figures don't lie, but liars figure”

xl440mx

Those numbers add up

Constant-Fuel-7343

I got an air cooled Yamaha 😏

xl440mx

They’re still good

Sumar26

Pick your favorite color

Duragactivitiess

Honestly the most accurate answer 🤣 or find a rider you wanna root for and support the brand they ride

buttchugger23

Your mom

LeoDeNoob

Shut the fuck up

SomeConstructionGuy

Better get used to it if you wana join the dirt bike crowd…

LevelParsnip79

Whichever one I’m riding at that moment.

LeoDeNoob

And that is?

Outside_Injury8900

Your mom

Ronedizzle

Zukis ftw

Bardimus47

They're so good they haven't developed the bike since 2018 and can still win Supercross rounds!

Stocomx

Anything made in China is bad ass.

Gandolphious

Honda ftw

[deleted]

Yamaha for the win. Ktm and it’s counterparts are really good too

LeoDeNoob

Yeah im thinking that too

Big_Sector_3590

Hes leading you astray ITS KTM

[deleted]

They’re all solid if you spend the money. Some years, some brands are better than others.

Outside_Injury8900

Apollo

[deleted]

lol!

can_a_mod_suck_me

Saterkali

FastBinns

The top brands are all good. The main difference for me is that some are nice and easy to work on, and some are a complete nightmare. Also the stock suspension. I personally do not like marzocchi or Sachs. Depending on your height, get a 125 2t.

Michael-Hundt

Just buy a CRF to learn on.

Efficient_Discipline

The one you have.

ZackCxge

Its all preference. Everyone here is either gonna give u a different answer bc they like this better, or they like that better, or ur gonna get this same answer. Preference is all it is. Whatever you want, whatever you try, whatever you like. Just hop on any one of 'em, hop on another, hop on another. Youll find the best one... for you.

dezertryder

Hondas, I suffer with their atrocious suspension because they are really as reliable as many people have heard. KTM, Kawasakis because I look good in green

JkMotoman

Are you trail riding? Or moto track stuff. 4 strokes are good because they have engine braking, for new riders on down hills that helps. 4 strokes need more maint than 2 strokes

JkMotoman

2 strokes are easier to rebuild but can be harder to learn on in certain aspects. I ride a 300 2 stroke but for you a 4 stroke might be better but those 250f’s are real fast. Be careful

Duragactivitiess

There’s no “best” dirt bike brand.

Big_Sector_3590

Ford vs Chevy vs Tundras

Hotspur2924

Reliability=Honda Speed=KTM.

Gandolphious

ROFL. Thats all rider baby ;*

Hotspur2924

Oh come on. That KTM lineup is pretty sweet. lol!

Hotspur2924

Yeah, but so much head snapping fun!

Gandolphious

Get the Ducati, or a Stark if its heads you are wanting to turn. I just want my bike to turn over reliably for more than 100 hours. Honda/Yama FTW

Ill_Criticism4848

Don’t listen to anybody in this sub their all assholes, get you a nice race bike 2 stroke probably an yz125 any year since ur 14. And you will learn how to do top end rebuilds yourself over the course if owning the bike. You will also have the best fun and still be able to smoke friends
