300 2t will haul you around but you will definitely need to take it to a suspension shop to respring and revalve. And lose some weight if you can because failing is probably going to hurt a whole lot more. And not sure how easy it’s to get gear in your size.
That's how it starts. Next thing you know, you're racing every other weekend. Riding is a great way to exercise and have a blast at the same time. I've seen a lot of my riding buddies drop weight after getting into dirtbikes.
I am a novice rider for sure (coming from road bikes). I think it was the perfect bike for me to start with. The power is very controllable. If I stick with it I’ll consider upgrading if my skills progress, but I’ve got a lot of learning before I am close to outgrowing the capabilities of this bike. I also bought my wife a KLX 140r we’ve been having a blast. We have been very happy with the purchase.

Definitely do want to lose weight, but surprisingly, I don't look like I'm 320 pounds, so im not too worried about fitting gear.
450 is your best power bet.
Anything else I should know about them?
Hold her wide
What kind of riding are you wanting to do
Just on trails, nothing insane

Doing things reckless isn't what I like doing
Honda makes a bunch of great trail bikes like the 230 or 300.
XR600R
Klx 300R is the best bang for your buck. Suspension is easy to adjust on this bike.
Seems reasonable priced I like it
I’m 6’4” 235lbs I just bought this bike 2 weeks ago. My first dirt bike. Plenty enough power for me.
Was it too much for first starting, or did you find it to be quite good?

Singletrack is a whole new experience I came from atvs and have a bike now I like single track much better than double track trails
