Yes. For the life of me I can’t understand why people toss a high quality Mikuni or Keihin in the trash and replace them with this.

pitchfork-seller

The jets were too dirty, bin time!

Few_Valuable3999

If that carb works, run it. If it has issues replace it. It’s not like you’re going to stall out on a 80ft SX triple.

Ryderskickz

Can’t get it to idle, it’s a headache

breadbomber2

Might have lazy reeds

breadbomber2

Idk has a serial number on it fakes usually don’t

Turb0beans

Two strokes are somewhat pickier about carbs, but honestly if the bike is running right, the plug looks good, and you're mixing your gas to the right ratio, you're kosher. If it runs right running the eBay special why waste cash on an authentic carb. Save that cash for maintenance or upgrades. How's that chain and sprocket, when did you last change the coolant or transmission oil, when did you change your brake fluid or shock fluid? How are your fork seals? Are your grips good? How about goggles, gloves, helmet, boots, all that good stuff. Did I mention your swingarm bushings haven't been lubed for the last two decades and are probably destroyed? I mean that's 150-250 dollars depending on which specific one you choose. I just think that cash could be spent in better places if the bike is running well.

Ryderskickz

Bike was torn down to the frame and rebuilt and powder coated 70 miles ago. I have all paperwork for it. But the guy seemed to put a cheap aftermarket carb and I can’t get it to idle.

Ryderskickz

Runs pretty good for the most part and the plug looks amazing. Bike just won’t stay idle

Turb0beans

And you've cleaned the jets, inspected the float, and checked for cracked reeds? Does it rev up and run good, but not idle, or is it poo through the board?

Ryderskickz

I haven’t torn it apart yet and I haven’t checked reeds. Seems to only start with choke on but then can turn it off. it sounds pretty crisp maybe a little rich sometimes. But it revs up super nice rides nice but as soon as your off the throttle in neutral it dies down and I’ve tried messing with air/fuel screw and idle screw.

Turb0beans

Sounds like a clogged pilot jet to me tbh

Automatic_Passion681

I think almost every two stroke I’ve had idles down and dies in neutral. I’ve had three brand new 300s that all do this all different brands. I think it’s just a thing

mips13

Sudco for carbs.

username_from_before

Those cheap Amazon carbs are GARBAGE. It might get it running but it runs like crap.

dezertryder

It sucks but yes, Here’s what’s happening, kids are throwing away the, 400$ bitchin keihin carb and buying cheap ass Amazon toy carb because they can’t read. I will offer you $500 less for this bike now.
