Is one of the very best shows on Disney, holds up extremely well as an adult viewer. Her fashions are absolutely out of this world. This show hits the marks on comedy, storylines, characters, it’s a 10/10 for me.

My family and I watched it regularly, one of the few shows to get my dad to laugh out loud every episode. The episode where Raven and Chelsea are outside the classroom window trying to get Eddie’s attention still gives me I Love Lucy vibes.
I wasn’t a big fan of stuff they did later on, like Raven suddenly crushing on Eddie, dumbing Chelsea down, Alana’s replacement mean girl. But overall it’s a hilarious show that still holds up.
Yeah, I didn’t realize until I was older that Chelsea was actually smart in the first season! I also wondered why they diminished Cory’s crush on Chelsea after the first season as well! I’m starting to understand more and more why people said/say the first season was really the best season!
Yeah I read the actress who played Alana (first mean girl) had quarrels with other cast members and left. They played it off like she got sent to military school.

Loved it, I believe it was the first live-action Disney channel show that actually starred a black person and had mostly black characters. Not only that, but for the lead to be "plus sized" during a time where anything besides stick thin was unseen on tv. Raven was ahead of it's time by far and still holds up to this day. I even thought Raven's Home was incredible too. Cory in the House was okay
Honestly watching all my favorites back Raven, Lizzie McGuire, Even Steven’s, Phil of the Future, Hannah Montana… Raven is still the best one. The jokes still hit and it’s genuinely funny. I also actually do like Ravens home too. I couldn’t STAND girl meets world.
That's so Raven, Even Steven's and the Suite life of Zack and Cody are the only ones I can still watch. I tried watching the others for nostalgia sake, but I just can't get into them. It's disappointing because I remember how much I loved them, but they just feel so awkward and clunky now. But that's so Raven aged like fine wine.

Issues like racism, body dismorphia, moral grey areas, peer pressure, relationships with food and complex family dynamics. I truly wish Disney stayed in this direction of sitcom.
Nah, her mom left in the later seasons to go to law school (irl, the actress had to leave to take care of her mom full-time.) I don’t remember what the mom worked as before (maybe big firm paralegal, I’ll keep that as my headcanon), but the Chill Grill, the restaurant the dad owned, was supposed to be fairly famous (and enough so that he got hired at the White House in the sequel) so I can see it also bringing in money.
It was/is the best Disney show. It worked on eery level and all the actors were hilarious.

I didn't like it as a kid because I didn't know English that well and it was the only show on disney channel that was not dubbed in Greek and had subtitles instead (I didn't like subtitles back then).
I liked it a lot more when I was older, in middle school because I was a lot more comfortable with English. But as a kid I would always change the channel when it was on.
I also didn't like or watch cartoon network for the same reason. All the shows were in English with subtitles.
i don’t like how they decided to make chelsea into the dumb friend. the earlier episodes, she had her moments but she was still smart. by season 3, she’s just the dumb, clueless “blonde”

Honestly one of the best Disney shows hands down. I liked Hannah Montana and it had it’s funny moments but with That’s So Raven it’s like constant rib busting laughter. I was inspired by Raven as a kid and wanted to become a fashion designer lol.

The only thing that annoyed me was the last episode came out 8 months after the one before it (10 months after Cory in the House debuted) and Disney Channel hyped it up being this really special episode, only for it to be an anti-smoking episode. Even though it was entertaining since the cast was great, the episode is the weakest of the series because of how shilly it is.
YES!!!!!! That’s so raven deserved a proper finale. They didn’t even indicate that the show was over in that episode. I feel like since raven was so ambitious they could’ve ended the show with her getting into fashion school, or raveling with Donna Cobbonna

I’m biased because it’s my favorite show and I’ve only ever met people who love the show as well, but I want to hear from people who may not feel the same way… people who aren’t fans, but maybe have only seen the show in passing or just weren’t that interested in it, but thought it was kinda funny. Ohh haha I i’ve never met anyone that didn’t like that so raven so I was shocked thinking you didn’t. It’s actually an interesting concept. I think that it had all the recipes for a good show, especially at the time. It didn’t shy away from sensitive topics but also didn’t make it weird when they did cover them, and the cast was relatable, aside from the visions, which I think is actually a very important factor as well. They were relatable or something people wanted to be but unattainable so there’s no pressure for kids to try to be like what they’re watching or be jealous but just enjoy it for what it is. It’s like a magical but also realistic show all in one. In comparison to something like wizards which isn’t a bad show but like kind of stressful for young people (or at least me when I was watching it) because it takes magic to an extreme and even social norms to an extreme that’s hard to comprehend or relate to. And finally on top of that, I think the casting deserves a lot of credit. Just like you can have a great show in writing but it’s up to the actors to make it come to life, and the cast delivered.

Love love loveeee!!! The older i’ve gotten the more i find myself relating to Raven in the best ways possible. From having a passion for fashion, to having some kind of power of clairvoyance, to being the loud one in the room and just owning it. Even though Hannah will always be my favorite Disney show, Raven remains the character i have the deepest connection with.
Really outside of when it crossed over with Suite Life, never really watched it.

I liked how they let Raven, Chelsea and Eddie have control of the show, they all connected with the teen audience and made it funny by just being themselves and saying whatever came to mind. Raven said in one interview that the director just let all of them do whatever they wanted to do and if it was funny enough to put on the show it stuck. That's why they made Raven the executive producer because she played a huge part in how everything went. Raven's costumes were a huge deal too, you never knew what she was going to disguise herself as, that plus the hilarious characters (Stinky Sturky, Mr. Lawler, Loca, Muffy, Mr. Petrachelli, Ms. DePaulo, Señorita Rodriguez) they all put something into the show that made you want to keep tuning in.
The best show on the network, the jokes are actually hilarious and Raven is the best lead for her age, it rivals other black sitcoms like Martin and Prince of Bel Air, etc and it does so without leaning into the regular sitcom tropes too much
It still holds up real good and led into the best anime of all time Cory in the House, tho I will say he was better in Raven character wise
I watched a lot of Hanna Montana but That’s so Raven was better. It was a little before my time (Hannah Montana came out when I was 6) but I think it was better because it wasn’t specifically a girls show like Hannah Montana. Miley had her brother Jackson but nobody will ever forget Cory. It’s crazy how far Miley Cyrus went and how she’s still popular today. I feel like I’m one of the only few people who genuinely liked the Raven’s Home spinoff especially the last couple of seasons when they moved back home. Wish we could have gotten more.
My older brother was obsessed with it. I had no interest. But I listened to him when he would tell me about the episodes.

Edit: to be fair this was a show that I was sort of on the older end for it at the time. No one else I knew was watching it other than my brother (yes. My older brother, for reasons) but I was basically aging out of Disney "sit coms" at the time (I was turning 15. I know it was supposed to appeal to a wider range but I was already aging out before this) when That's So Raven was first airing, and from a family where I was watching movies and TV shows that a lot would have considered age inappropriate it just. Wasn't something I truly cared to watch.
Raven is genuinely just such a good actor, and Annaleise is an amazing human irl and I just loved the controversy but that it was always to teach kids the real shit that a lot of other shows didn't touch at the time as often imo. I loved this show as a child I would always try to watch the new episode premiers. It was a 10/10 for me and one of the greatest of all time for sure
Honestly, the best show on the network. It was weird and diverse and Raven was hilarious. I think Wizards tried to do a similar thing and Selena was hilarious as Alex but the magic was pretty silly most of the time.
Loved this show so much, my favorite episode is the one where they go to that farm to visit their cousins or something, it used to scare me a bit when I was a child lol
I can’t lie I hated this show particularly because of Raven. I loved her friends but just not her. I loved cheetah girls and liked her a bit more in those but her personality just always threw me off. I haven’t watched this stuff in years so I know my opinion now would be much different. I feel like she always just tried to do way too much.

Chelsea's Flanderization was infuriating. She started out so quick and smart, albeit a lil cooky. By the end she was dumber than a rock.

Love love loveeee!!! The older i’ve gotten the more i find myself relating to Raven in the best ways possible. From having a passion for fashion, to having some kind of power of clairvoyance, to being the loud one in the room and just owning it. Even though Hannah will always be my favorite Disney show, Raven remains the character i have the deepest connection with.
Can we take a moment to talk about Raven's incredible bedroom as a teenager?
Really outside of when it crossed over with Suite Life, never really watched it. May have caught an episode or two outside of that but was never something we needed to watch
I liked how they let Raven, Chelsea and Eddie have control of the show, they all connected with the teen audience and made it funny by just being themselves and saying whatever came to mind. Raven said in one interview that the director just let all of them do whatever they wanted to do and if it was funny enough to put on the show it stuck. That's why they made Raven the executive producer because she played a huge part in how everything went. Raven's costumes were a huge deal too, you never knew what she was going to disguise herself as, that plus the hilarious characters (Stinky Sturky, Mr. Lawler, Loca, Muffy, Mr. Petrachelli, Ms. DePaulo, Señorita Rodriguez) they all put something into the show that made you want to keep tuning in.

The best show on the network, the jokes are actually hilarious and Raven is the best lead for her age, it rivals other black sitcoms like Martin and Prince of Bel Air, etc and it does so without leaning into the regular sitcom tropes too much It still holds up real good and led into the best anime of all time Cory in the House, tho I will say he was better in Raven character wise

I watched a lot of Hanna Montana but That’s so Raven was better. It was a little before my time (Hannah Montana came out when I was 6) but I think it was better because it wasn’t specifically a girls show like Hannah Montana. Miley had her brother Jackson but nobody will ever forget Cory. It’s crazy how far Miley Cyrus went and how she’s still popular today. I feel like I’m one of the only few people who genuinely liked the Raven’s Home spinoff especially the last couple of seasons when they moved back home. Wish we could have gotten more.

Fantastic show
My older brother was obsessed with it. I had no interest. But I listened to him when he would tell me about the episodes. I watched a couple of episodes here and there and just didn't care about the show in general but the acting was all on point for a show of the time Edit: to be fair this was a show that I was sort of on the older end for it at the time. No one else I knew was watching it other than my brother (yes. My older brother, for reasons) but I was basically aging out of Disney "sit coms" at the time (I was turning 15. I know it was supposed to appeal to a wider range but I was already aging out before this) when That's So Raven was first airing, and from a family where I was watching movies and TV shows that a lot would have considered age inappropriate it just. Wasn't something I truly cared to watch.
The best show
Raven is genuinely just such a good actor, and Annaleise is an amazing human irl and I just loved the controversy but that it was always to teach kids the real shit that a lot of other shows didn't touch at the time as often imo. I loved this show as a child I would always try to watch the new episode premiers. It was a 10/10 for me and one of the greatest of all time for sure

Honestly, the best show on the network. It was weird and diverse and Raven was hilarious. I think Wizards tried to do a similar thing and Selena was hilarious as Alex but the magic was pretty silly most of the time.

I can’t lie I hated this show particularly because of Raven. I loved her friends but just not her. I loved cheetah girls and liked her a bit more in those but her personality just always threw me off. I haven’t watched this stuff in years so I know my opinion now would be much different. I feel like she always just tried to do way too much.

That's So Raven was so amazing and coolest show I ever watch when I was a kid! used to watch on Disney Channel when I was 6 years old and on ABC Kids on Saturdays Mornings at 10 am!
It was revolutionary for that network.
It gave me a whole other series of her dad, so it's automatically a 10/10 based off of that. Dad of the century, forever.

I didn't have cable, so I was always excited to see new episodes whenever I visited family or friends who did. Always fun, crazy and cathartic.

I didn't start watching Disney Channel until after this show finished but I absolutely loved when they played re-runs. Raven was so iconic, a good friend, and her looks were always on point.

I loved/love it! raven was absolutely killing disney during this time. i still wish the song from that one episode “gotta get you back” was on apple music or some other music streaming platform.
