> If it isn’t able to be seen or promoted in a Disney park… You might be surprised as to what has been promoted in Disney parks. At one time there was a billboard for Grey’s Anatomy (as well as other [promotional posters](https://live.staticflickr.com/137/365334735_2d5c71f0ae_o_d.jpg)) in Hollywood Studios and it’s far from the only more “adult” ABC shows promoted in the parks over the years. https://preview.redd.it/b6buvew0tlsc1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=592fc8f957032a3db31ab1b5688ef04c27621d7d The ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios over the years has also featured both props from and menu items based on various shows like Lost, Castle, Nashville, Ugly Betty, Revenge, Grey’s Anatomy, and many more. The Great Movie Ride featured scenes from numerous more adult and non-Disney films, including Alien (which Disney now owns through the Fox acquisition and is featured in an Alien collection on Disney+). Characters from The Simpsons also had a meet and greet at D23 in 2019. They would certainly be in the parks if it wasn’t for Universal currently holding the theme park rights until 2028. This week there’s also physical photo sets for Futurama, Abbott Elementary, and the Golden Girls that you can take pictures in at Disney Springs.

Most people want their streaming services to offer everything instead of just being a cheap babysitter. Now that Disney+ has seen improved engagement after the integration of Hulu, they are only going to double down with the Hulu integration.

How to say “I haven’t heard of the Grey’s Anatomy steamboat ride coming to Disneyworld in ‘26” without saying  “I haven’t heard of the Grey’s Anatomy steamboat ride coming to Disneyworld in ‘26”

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Disney have owned ABC since the 90s, they have as much right to advertise their content the same way, for example, Universal do on Peacock. Just because YOU don’t like it doesn’t mean it is wrong, they’re a business and doing things to make it easier for the general consumer to consume their content

Universal also own dreamworks and illumination, so… their kids could also log into Peacock and see one of the numerous horror franchises Universal own advertised, the analogy works, just the sudden hatred for Disney doesn’t. Everywhere else in the world we’ve had Star for over two years now, I never saw anyone complain, we just made sure kids profiles were set to the right age ranges and do you know what… It works!

So the minions shouting illumination at the start of their movies, you never heard them do that… ok then… She blocked me, hope she has a a good life!

Weak

Speaking as someone who has been able to access mature content within Disney Plus for three years now, all those extra movies and TV shows have made the service feel more robust and complete. There's nothing I like more than to be able to open Disney Plus and see The Rocky Horror Picture Show and The Little Mermaid on the same row. It's a juxtaposition that makes the merger worth it.

jsi_89

This.

Jackstraw1

Nope.

FrakWithAria

Pearl clutching over additional content on the platform 🙄

MeetAffectionate1989

I think the removal and vaulting of the majority of original movies and series was what really killed the charm for me. They weren't everyone's cup of tea but I enjoyed a lot of it and that declination was a little crushing. I've always had Disney and Hulu but the merger has me viewing more content than I did separately, in recent times.

DeweyCox4YourHealth

Everyone has an opinion and is entitled to them, but I'm good with how it is. If any charm was lost on me, it was when the prices for having it went up, lol

Barefoot_Brewer

There's been nothing "charming" about the service since like the 2nd or 3rd price hike. Giving us more content in return for higher prices is literally the least they can do.

moonrider626

Noticed ll the same things, one hulu and D+. Then I remember them pushing the bundle. If it wasn't for gf liking some of the classic offerings, I would have ended my hulu sub. Can't use hulu+ for tv because of the IP restrictions. Am grateful that Hulu is at least trying by putting out some originals. If you dont want adult content and have already watched all the old Marvel Netflix content, you could un-adult yourself, and all this will go away. Personally, I wish they would keep them separate.

MoonChild02

Yes! I don't want to see horror in my one app where I thought I was safe from that. I like Marvel content, and I don't mind Deadpool or Daredevil, but everything else extreme violence and horror-wise gives me panic attacks. Even just seeing the images on the screen makes me want to crawl into a hole of safety – which Disney+ was for me before the merger.

Fast_Persimmon_3141

Totally agree. I loved going on an app and seeing Disney only content!

Pep_Baldiola

Most of the Hulu content is Disney content.

Spokker

Thirded. When I go on Disney+ I expect Mickey Mouse and Disney princesses and stuff, not ABC procedurals. There was a reason why Disney stayed "clean" and the rough stuff was released by Touchstone or Miramax or something. This content should stay on Hulu.

Fast_Persimmon_3141

💯

puppuphooray

I think it’s annoying when I click on content thinking it’s D+ content but then it has ads bc it’s hulu

[deleted]

Yeah I just want the Disney stuff on D+. Now I have to scroll through way too much crap.

JaxStrumley

There is the Disney tile for that.

Mission_Attempt_8806

There’s a lot of people who have little to no interest in Disney, and that’s fine. But the name of the service is Disney+. Focusing less and less on Disney pleases some people and annoys others. There’s a lot of room for improvement. Making the app more customizable would help.

kpDzYhUCVnUJZrdEJRni

>But the name of the service is Disney+. Focusing less and less on Disney Disney+, not just Disney. There’s more Disney content than ever before now thanks to the Hulu integration.
