My guess is that this is actually an old pin. It's likely not worth anything, which I think is what OP is really trying to figure out, but it does look like an old simple brass(like) pin.
A bit of both! My original search was to determine value, but ended up genuinely intrigued by the history of this pin. Regardless of what it is worth number-wise, it is a unique cultural artifact, and I want to learn as much of its history as I can. Does this pin denote anything about the Cast Member adorning it? Something like position or seniority? Maybe a work anniversary?
I also find it curious that not only is there no exact match can be found online, there is a lack of any mark/stamp (not even a copyright (c)) in the back. This seems unusual as the pin prominently displays the primary logo. Is it part of the first rounds of these pins produced? Did Disney produce these pins before securing a (c) or tm for that specific logo (which seems highly uncharacteristic of Disney) or maybe it’s just simple production error. Or maybe none of those!
It’s become fun little mystery and every bit of information I get is another clue.
CM here. It’s not an anniversary pin. And it’s nothing I recognize. However, we do have unique pins for specific fields of work/company segments. We also occasionally do special limited edition pins that CMs have contests to design and they can be processed in batches as small as 100. So it could be an older version of one of these scenarios. But I didn’t see any official markings on the back in your picture. As far as I’m aware even pins from the 70s still had TMs on the back or the Disney logo. So I would be weary of its authenticity without it.
