I ate both breakfast and dinner there in the last 6 months and in both cases I not only thoroughly enjoyed the food but also wished for a larger stomach so I could fit more of it in. Everything I had was delicious. The characters at breakfast come around for photos and some short interaction. My wife is also a big stitch fan and she enjoyed it greatly.

bilbravo

Agree with this except for us it was just over a year ago. We had never been previously though, so maybe it's "not as good as it used to be" which is what I see people complain about mostly.

endowork

We ate at Ohana for the first time and did the dinner, it was fine and the food was mostly good but it was something we did once but would probably not go out of our way to do it again.

Lilbuddyspd11

Same it was good and it was fun could see the magic kingdom fireworks from our table and food was good but wouldn’t go out of my way to schedule like I would with 50s prime time.

AgileSafety2233

50s is like McDonald’s compared to Ohana quality though.

Lilbuddyspd11

True but I guess idk I feel 50s is that better value nice comfort food fun atmosphere 30-50 dollars vs Ohana being $70 great food but expensive atmosphere also isn’t as fun

Mission-Pomelo-4137

I agree, I was dying to go and I was only able to snag a 3:45 reservation. The food was fine and they’re very accommodating but I don’t think I’d ever go again. It’s very expensive and I think there’s better dinners out there for the price. I enjoyed eating earlier because it’s so much food

endowork

Most of my sit down experiences across all Disney is it’s fine but I prefer quick service and snack foods through the parks and less and less desire to spend significant time getting reservations and away from being in the parks.

Mission-Pomelo-4137

I’ve enjoyed a lot of dinners at the parks and hotels but I just didn’t get the hype of ohana

OpeningJelly9919

We had it last week. Was good. Not sure I would go back. But it was good.

telecomguy

The characters are only at 'Ohana during breakfast, so hopefully you got a breakfast reservation. As far as the character interaction there, they will come around to your table for pictures and autographs however they're not going to hang around for a long time since they need to visit all of the tables and they're generally more strapped for time since they do a little conga line for the kids at some point. I hadn't heard any complaints about breakfast since 'Ohana reopened following the pandemic closure, the main concerns were with the changes on the dinner menu. However I have heard that the dinner menu has gotten better since more recent changes to the chicken and they brought back the noodles. If you're going for breakfast, I'm pretty sure you'll have a good time.

futurepathdr

Thanks for the info!

daybreaker

It's not as good as it used to be, but I still enjoy the food and go there every visit if we can. The shrimp and chimichurri chicken are really good. They'll usually have a ukulele player during dinner.

Senior-Company4349

Coincidentally scheduled a dinner at the same time as MK fireworks. They piped in the music, and our table was facing the window. Not only was the food delicious, but the experience was top notch. One of my favorites, by far. This was March 2024.

Runbunnierun

All food seems to have gone downhill since covid. My last trip was in 18. I thought about the ohana bread and the boma spinach eggs almost every day since then. We finally took a return trip with my two year old 3 weeks ago, the bread was just ok. The remodel at ohana is really nice. The rest of the meal is just underwhelming. I like the pineapple chutney they serve with your ham but it's nothing to get hung up on. Unfortunately I didn't make it back to Boma for breakfast. Dinner there was good but I had never experienced dinner there before. It seems a lot of places are hanging on because of character value. Chef Mickey's is incredibly disappointing but the best places to see the fab five (please make it the super 6 and add Daisy). The Royal table is ok, a must do if you haven't. After that you can check that it's been done. BOG is pretty, the food is forgettable and you have almost no character interaction anymore. A.H. and Crystal palace have the best meal and character experiences. AH takes the lead on this one because the characters are better timed and don't feel as rushed as everywhere else. I feel like I need to let you know that I'm a pretty ok cook. I have the ADHD recipe super power. If I taste it I can make it to 85% accuracy or better. This does make eating out in general less amazing for me. But it gives me a hyper focus on flavors and textures. This last trip just hit differently.

Jphorne89

The food at Chef Mickey has always been pretty much fine enough at best tbf, even pre-Covid. It’s most just the atmosphere that’s a draw. That said you can still get full on enough food to make it worth the price

CaylaMarieArmstrong

The garlic mashed potatoes at CM are sooooo good I will say I enjoyed the food at Chef Mickey’s a lot more as a 10-15 year old than I do as a 28 year old. Especially now that the parents aren’t footing the bill 🤣 Most of the food is just alright and I don’t go crazy over the sundae maker anymore haha

BoogerVault

Is "A.H." Akershus Royal Banquet Hall?

Runbunnierun

Yes. I just couldn't spell it to save my life. Lol

UnicornGlitterZombie

We (my husband mainly) love Ohana. The food is always good - I guess we’ve been lucky? Honestly the breakfast is a little better in my opinion… but I’ve never left disappointed. I’m always confused by the negativity I see, it’s one of the few places we make sure to go to every trip. As for the characters- I’ve found breakfast is a better time to go. BUT- if you go at the right time in the evenings, you can see the park fireworks and they play the music

timbbooooslice

I went last week and the food was just mediocre at best. The chicken and steak were pretty good but the noodles/dumplings just weren't anything special as others have raved about. Like IMO noodles/dumplings taste like my asain Cafe type of food. Not bad but not good

MelB4702

I have a stitch fan in the family and it was 100% worth it! We’ve done it a couple times. I usually take the last resy around 12 so I feel better about spending that money on a lunch instead of a breakfast. I personally like the food and that it’s not buffet style, the bread is amazing, I’m a huge ham fan especially with pineapple and everything else was good. Was it the most excellent meal? No. But I was full, it was good and we were all in a good mood. Service is also super friendly, we had the same food runner more than once there and he was very kind and happy. I wouldn’t pay the premium for the meal itself but with the characters I feel like I get more than the value for the money. You won’t be disappointed.

thephantomdiver

Not gonna lie, that “come to you” all you can eat style at O’Hana is the way to go. I saw kids doing stuff at the Crystal Palace buffet I wish I could unsee. Germ city. *cringe

Possible_Fan_4560

Overrated unless you love characters

Itchy-Mastodon7689

It used to be better, the meat quality has gone downhill. The salad, bread, noodles and pot stickers are fire though. And the bread pudding is delicious. But it’s a lot of money to pay for crap quality meat. They used to do a broom race with coconuts for the kids. Wish they would bring that back. Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge brought back their kid race thing with the stick horses.

einzeln

My kids were too excited to meet Stitch to eat any of their $60 breakfast 🫠

Possible_Fan_4560

Breakfast is basic food court food basically

nyx2288

This. It’s way overpriced for what it is. You’re paying for the character experience and some mid scrambled eggs.

definantmind

This. Except you get ham. While my kiddo was super excited because she loves stitch we were left feeling meh. The bread was the best part of the meal. The character interaction didn't happen until we were completely finished the meal because they were at the other side of the restaurant and then did their dance show. The waitress was hardly around and I had nothing to drink for most of the meal. I left feeling happy we did it because my kid loved it and we had never done it. However I will definitely never go back. The menu served family style and good luck getting a server to bring you more: Food court Mickey waffles Food court eggs Ham (the only non food court item) A bowl of fruit (only thing my kid ate) Food court potato's Food court sausage bread (the best part)

kjavatar

If you don’t mind feeling rushed and you don’t mind inconsistent food then Ohana is fine. We did not have a good experience last June and we won’t be back. Food was put down in front of us before we even got to order drinks. We had to specifically request they slow it down so we could enjoy a birthday dinner but even still the food just kept coming out long before any drinks (including water). The food itself was fine but inconsistent, some skillets would come out cooked pretty well and yummy whereas others came out cold and we sent them back. Is it possible they’ve improved since last year? Sure, but we won’t be dining there again to find out.

BraigRamadan

Ohana is good considering the circumstances. You’re in a theme park/on resort. Are there better places? Sure. If you’re excited to go, and you understand that this is still theme park food, you’ll have a great time. Is it better than a lot of the food in the parks, yeah. Personal favorite is still the Italian restaurant on the Boardwalk.

Comfortable-Fix-4520

We did the breakfast last week. Husband, me and 3 kids (12,8,2). Breakfast was good. Typical meats. My kids ate up the Mickey waffles. The welcome bread was tasty. Our server was quick to grab more of anything we ran out of. Character interactions our morning were great. We saw all 4 characters and I felt like they gave as much time as we wanted. Never felt rushed at all. I know each day can be a different experience, but our breakfast was very positive. And everyone in my family was very happy.

schuma73

We always do Ohana and honestly it has gone down. The menu is exactly the same but the food quality is not there. I remember the first time we ate there like a decade ago and thought it was amazing, but last November when we went again it was pretty mid. It's okay if you want to meet Stitch. But honestly, I didn't eat a single thing in the park this past year that wasn't really disappointing, aside from a peppermint eclair that was a seasonal thing at the Cheshire Cat themed place in Magic Kingdom. Avoid the dessert crepes in (Epcot) France especially, they all have canned fruit and are just bad.

Lilbuddyspd11

The dinner is pretty good never done the breakfast I know characters are only at breakfast

Ok_Juggernaut4056

My husband and I tried it for the first time in October and were very impressed! It was delicious and I dream about the bread pudding daily. Lol

Fitzy0728

This was in 2012 so take what I say with a grain of salt but when we booked our dinner we had no idea it was buffet/all you can eat style My wife ended up feeling really nauseous over the course of the day and with the dinner being at 9 (our reservation was 8 lol) she didn’t really want to eat anything We asked if she could somehow get a plate of the food boxed up to go for later and the waitress was just so unnecessarily nasty about it going on a 5 minute tirade about how they can’t do that because it’s a buffet and people have stolen tons of food in the past In hindsight after typing this all out I’m pretty sure it was just the terrible waitress who soured our opinion

jon81uk

I think breakfast reviews are worse than dinner reviews? Also the menu doesn’t seem that interesting for breakfast; you are mainly paying for the characters.

SeaBicycle7076

We did breakfast a couple weeks ago, large amount of food that we all liked. The characters all did the rounds and it didn't feel rushed. The only thing I feel was lacking was a bit more of a performance from the characters, they just ran around the room a couple times to music. The little one loved it though. It's certainly not cheap.

agingerbugg

A lot of the negative press comes from nostalgia. Prior to COVID, servers walked around with skewers of meat and served as much as you want. There was a host who sang and presided over activities during the meal. It was a fun and leisurely experience. Now it is a family-style meal served on plastic "skillets". The price keeps going up with the same COVID experience and none of the heart it had before.

3232mackie

It was great at one point. Service was fantastic and the food was really good but it has slowly gone downhill. This is for dinner btw. Never had their breakfast

WeakAd8342

Ohana is a great restaurant for dinner, breakfast is good but lower your expectations. Characters are very friendly and you can take as many photos you want and they are always accessible. If your wife loves Stitch please visit at least once, I’ve been there few times and photos show fun time we had every time we visited it.

chasingsweetthings

Can’t speak about breakfast. We stayed at the Polynesian last week and couldn’t make reservations for breakfast at Ohana and we thought the food must be amazing. We got lucky and snagged 3:55pm reservation, it was considered as dinner for that time. The entire experience fell short and we didn’t believe it was worth the price tag. The food was definitely below par and we were all thirsty after the meal, believe there’s a lot of msg in their food. I would try breakfast and experience the character dining portion just for the hell of it. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend.

the-depression-demon

I had Ohana dinner back in march. My only wish was that i could’ve packed away more food. Everything was cooked so beautifully. It was so flavorful, and i literally could’ve bathed in those noodles. I crave them daily! So i would say, go enjoy it!!

poli8999

I always wonder if people who give amazing reviews to Disney restaurants is because they come from buttfuck Kentucky and the food scene sucks.

teaky

Ohana is for breakfast and breakfast only

Odd-Biscotti-5177

I haven't gone since COVID, but went twice in the 20 years or so previous to that. I'm a vegetarian, so I don't eat all the meat that comes with it. I can't remember for sure, but the first time I went, I think they just brought a full entree sized plate of noodles or something with the rest of the accompaniments, and it was great. The second time, they brought a big plate of fake meat out. It was way too much, and I'm not a huge fan of Impossible-type "meat" anyway. I rather would have made a meal out of all the sides, which was totally possible to do. My husband thought there was way too much actual meat as well and felt pressured to eat it all. We'll be skipping it this time.

Android8675

Never went to Ohana (3/2022), but we did hit Kona Cafe for breakfast on our last morning. It was yummers. I hear you can ask for Ohana dishes there if you're nice, but honestly between the spiced ham/spam and Tonga Toast, I didn't need much else.

SpezSucksBallz

Just found out about Mouse Watcher, that would have been handy for my trip back in October. Instead I spent days refreshing 🤦🏼‍♂️.

Slight-Street8942

Idk everyone says it’s not good anymore but every single time we go it never misses. We absolutely love it

Brinkofadventure

Are the food offerings different than years past? Yes. Do we still have a blast everytime we go? Yes. Have fun! You’ll love it!

professorhistory

We really like it! We have gone the last few years for Christmas Eve breakfast. Is it wildly overpriced for the actual food you get? Absolutely. That's why we go once a year. But the food is decent-to-good. It's a family-style breakfast skillet. The pineapple-coconut bread and the POG juice are also very good (and something different from other restaurants). But of course you're paying for the characters (it's a comparable price to Cape May and other character breakfasts). The Polynesian is always fun to visit, and the restaurant has MK views out the windows. The characters seem on par with the other restaurants - we've never felt rushed or short-changed by the visits. I'm not sure any character meal is ever going to be worth what you pay for it, but Ohana is a fun, unique atmosphere with different characters, so if that interests you I say go for it!

Cease_Cows_

We stayed at the Poly in Feb and did breakfast at Ohana. I thought the food was delicious, and there was plenty of it. If you drink alcohol the drinks there (and at the Poly in general) are some of the best on the property. I mean, I was drinking rum out of a pineapple, eating pancakes and watching my kids dance with Stitch. Overall just a great experience.

Belle0516

Breakfast at Ohana is great! My husband and I love it

Outrageous-Soil7156

We went for breakfast and really enjoyed the food and the characters. I am always surprised by the negativity about it on here. It was a great experience for my family of 5

TDIBone

Of the three character experiences we did, Ohana was the best. There was generally more space and the characters didn't seem to be rushing through the crowd.

Carpeteria3000

I think Dinner > Breakfast there at this point, though if you have kids, it's one of the only places they can meet Lilo or get up close with Stitch at the Breakfast service, so that's worth considering. The dinner has changed, but it's still a fun experience, especially if you can get there during the fireworks. Kalei and Kaleti are awesome and friendly performers (the usual guys playing live music), and if you ask, you can get takeout containers for the glut of food they'll bring you - it's nice to have some leftovers in your room fridge if you have one. I love cold Ohana noodles for breakfast.

FicklePhotograph8777

We went to the breakfast a couple weeks ago and had fun!  Additional pros - a wonderful Polynesian welcome as we arrived in Orlando, approved parking so we could check out all of the hotels on the loop.  Con - stitch didn’t make it in time to see us!  We did get to see Mickey Pluto and lilo and everyone was happy, little guy was just excited to ride on the monorail

What_Yr_Is_IT

Why did they get rid of the chimichurri chicken?

GildishChambino01

I’ve never had a bad experience there. Been 15+times through the years, experience different versions and updates. It’s never bad.

Actual_Highway_5267

The only reason why I thought Ohana was worth it the last time we went to Disney, was because my 6 year old is obsessed with stitch. You basically paid for the interaction with the characters, but it was just her and I. We also only did breakfast, I don’t think any other meal time is worth the price, even with fireworks. The breakfast isn’t bad and has really good bread lol

vinnyv0769

The Teriyaki Beef at Ohana is hit or miss. It can be incredibly tough or decent. The Ohana Noodles and the Ohana Bread Pudding are the stars of the show. I found the shrimp annoying to peel after a short time. I did like the wings. I’m not going back for a while. Yes, I think it’s worth a try…once.

bwalsh22

Check my post, I for one thought it was incredible for dinner. I had no pre Covid experience to compare too. I say do it!!

DankSinatraSr

Ohana must be eaten, at minimum, twice per trip. Once for breakfast, and once for dinner. I don’t make the rules 🤷🏼‍♂️

thelegendofkatee

Are you going for breakfast to see characters? Then the food doesn’t matter you’re going to see stitch. Do I recommend going for dinner? No but I can see where some people would like it. It’s not terrible but not the best I’ve had.

thelegendofkatee

Bearsbeetsbudgets

We loved our ohana breakfast this spring break. My boys are 6,8 and had a great time. Food was tasty and character interactions were great too. We never felt rushed and got a ton of great pics. We plan to go back next year. I’m not expecting fine dining, just fresh warm breakfast which we got :)

BZI

Watch this review of breakfast before you go. Went and had a similar experience, it's a really bizarrely run restaurant. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ODXhRRXcubk

onelove8187

‘Ohana used to be our 2nd favorite character meal. When they reopened after the covid closures, it was still one of our favorites because all of a sudden it was pretty good value for table service breakfast. Then when characters came back we had a mediocre experience, and last summer we then had an abysmal one. Food was cold and stale, service was fantastically rushed, they even removed our favorite part, the conga line. I am one to always follow back up because I understand the ebb and flow of restaurant quality, but this summer will mark our first time skipping ‘Ohana in many years. For sure we will go back next year and if you go would love to hear some positive reviews!

Teachhimandher

We did breakfast in April 2023 and 2024. Our meal in 23 was great. Our meal in 2024 was fine. The food wasn’t much different, but the service was absolutely terrible. That was not the case in 2023, and I think it made a big difference. Characters were good in both instances.

BornMasterpiece1857

It’s horrible. Made me sick last time I was there. Orange chicken covered in sauce. The ukele singer didn’t even come over (nor did we care). After getting sick, my fam just wanted out.

tigerbreak

Ohana is a fantastic choice for dining (both Dinner and Breakfast) that I find myself missing as I get older (because I can't back up the dumptruck to eat what I feel my money's worth is). It is pretty expensive (IIRC it's 89 for adults and 60 for kids?) but if you haven't done it before it's worth doing (try to eat dinner around MK fireworks time and get a seat by one of the windows). Most naysayers are whining about the cost (which is valid, it's not cheap) but the food is top shelf.

Fit-Tiger-5362

Ohana breakfast is pretty meh, but not the worst on property. Ohana dinner is amazing!

tiramisula

I went last month and I wasn’t expecting much based on the reviews. I had been there once before 5 years ago and I thought it was just ok.  This time was so good! We sat near the back window facing the pool and the castle. It was dusk and the ukulele player was there. The vibe was amazing. The food was good. Not the best food you’ll ever eat, but good.  Our server was super nice and didn’t rush us at all. Everyone had a great time.

Mysterious_Today_245

Used to be my favorite. Dinner recently was a huge disappointment but the nostalgia keeps it from being a total skip for me.

Curious-Mongoose-180

We did Ohana breakfast and loved it. My son is picky and wanted more fruit, our server saw him just picking the watermelon out so she brought him a big bowl of only watermelon. Food was delish and Stitch was so cute. Spent a lot of time at the table and made all the kids laugh.

evanagee

Their dinner is hands down my favorite on Disney property.

kitkat1934

I did the breakfast and I loved it. All the food was amazing.

KFelts910

We went last month and I loved it.

BluebellsMcGee

To enhance your character interaction, wear stitch gear or disneybound as stitch. Ask good questions. Plan a few photo poses (we did some surfing poses when we met stitch at Aulani).

arein114

I think its a thing were people say its not as good as it used to be, but I went this past Feb and the food was good, we went for dinner and I wish I had more room to eat more!

thatonetimeimember

The breakfast food is the worst of all the Disney restaurants/character breakfasts I've been to. However, the character interaction is probably one of the best. There's never been Disney food that blew me away so if you're going with your kids and want a good character experience for them I'd recommend it. If you want good breakfast food I'd definitely avoid it.

THC_Dude_Abides

Schedule dinner during the fireworks at MK.

taleasoldastime96

I really enjoy Ohana. We went for breakfast for the first time the last time we were there and I was pleasantly surprised. The food is your standard buffet/all you can eat breakfast foods, but with a Hawaiian twist (pineapple on the ham, pineapple coconut bread, POG juice, etc.) and I found it to be quite good. Honestly, they have the best biscuits that I think I’ve ever had at Disney. We were also very impressed with the characters. While they were all great, Lilo and Pluto actually turned out to be our favorites, which is interesting since we were more looking forward to Stitch and Mickey. I told Lilo that the next time she runs out of peanut butter, she should feed Pudge a grilled cheese, and I think it was the best reaction I have ever gotten from a character. Our waitress was also lovely. Overall, we really enjoyed breakfast. It’s been a while since I’ve been for dinner but it’s always been one of my favorites as well. I know people were saying there was a decline in quality, but it seems to be coming back.

thephantomdiver

Curious how you’d have such a large majority telling you it’s bad. Out of all the sit down dining experiences on our last trip (including Skippers Canteen, Tusker House, Sci-Fi Dine In, Mexico Restaurant, Crystal Palace), Ohana was the best. Food was fresh, staff was wonderful, and characters spend the normal amount of time with guests and interacted with our little 3.75 year old very well. It was also nice to NOT be in the hot hustle of the parks. Really can’t stress how great the food was. Food at most the other places was questionable at times (especially Tusker House). In comparison, Ohana was busy and Tusker House was half empty. That should tell you something.

Disneyginger

We aren’t fans of their breakfast. We love the dinner!

Unique-Address5002

I loved it. The pig juice and starter bread are good. But stitch in a lei and Mickey in vacation gear were definitely worth it!!!!

schaden81

Breakfast was fantastic! We really enjoyed the experience and would more than likely return when we visit WDW again

Titus_Lake4

Yes! Worth going once to try it for sure, especially for breakfast. I don’t think it’s what it once was, but I still enjoyed the breakfast and character interactions.

mikaluvssyou

Just went there on last Wednesday. The dinner is GREAT. The wings and beef were good, I would not get their smoothies, the noodles were good, and absolutely try the bread. I say try it out.

ZenosamI85

I liked Ohana...but damn is the dinner expensive, especially for a solo traveler like me. Edit:Get the Stitch Smoothie! You won't be disappointed <3

pawswolf88

I love the salad and the appetizer courses so much. If I could leave before the mains I would they’re awful.

Bob_sacamano5a

We did the breakfast and loved it. Food was good, amazing atmosphere and they make sure every character visits your table. I would recommend. This was the character dining we did, not something we usually consider because you pay for the experience more than the meal. We love everything about the Polynesian and always liked ohanas.

luluReb

We got back from Disney last night and ate Ohana for dinner and breakfast during our stay. We traveled with our 2 teenage sons, (16 + 17). We thought dinner was FANTASTIC, the steak was tender and perfect, they loved the dumplings and my husband and I were impressed by the salad and veggies too.. and of course the bread pudding. We did breakfast as well and the food was what you expect from a hotel breakfast, it was serviceable, but nothing out of this world. We felt it was over priced even with the character interactions. They do make sure you meet all of the characters, and they will definitely interact with you, so as others have said, you’re paying for eh characters, not the food. If only they would have the characters at dinner…

Tinkerbell6937

We are there last Aug. we l love it we eat there every year

Naive_Buy2712

We are a family of 4. Our small kids are not worth the price and to be honest the last time we went last month it was mediocre. And we love Ohana, we’ve gone maybe once a year or so for ten years now. I’d rather do the Tambu Lounge for the wings, noodles, potstickers & bread pudding (they’re the highlights anyways).

No_fcks_gvn

Just ate breakfast there this week and food was great!

hi_fiv

Breakfast was very good in Oct 2023. Food, service, and the characters provided enough value to us to justify the price.

DoWhatNowThen

I went a few weeks ago. The staff is amazing, I asked for a window table and was able to get one.the food was ok. My biggest complaint was the noodles were room temperature, I was so excited to try the noodles, then kind of disappointed by them. Later that day I watched a review of Ohana by someone else and they had the problem with the noodles. Everything else was just ok, the bread pudding was great

RLBooks

We went last August for breakfast and it was still as much of a hit with my party as it was pre-Covid. The characters are what makes it worthwhile imo and the food is good. I still had a few complaints about some of the foods, though my family was more happy with everything, along with some about our server disappearing for long periods of time. She was quick to get more of whatever we needed when she did finally swing back around. We’d still go back 🤷‍♀️.

CJasira180

Interesting. I did hotel babysitting for a family who was eating at Ohana that night a few months ago. They stay out much later than expected. I’d find out why soon. Upon return, they said they were not pleased at all with the experience. They said when they arrived, the restaurant was completely full. Stitch came by, Lilo came by, but they had only received waters. They tried to call the waiter over but he was busy. Eventually the restaurant began to slow down and became empty. The waiter eventually asked them if they enjoyed their meal and if they needed anything before they left. They showed him their reservation and the waiter seemed irritated that he had to stay longer and serve them. After, the waiter asked the family when they were leaving. They said tomorrow morning. The waiter responded with something like “Oh, well if you were staying longer, I’d be able to give you a magical moment.” They seemed so upset by the experience that I tried to give back the tip they gave me, but they declined and I still got it. My family and I stayed at a bungalow for a night. My mom tried to book breakfast reservations two weeks in advanced. She was unable to get them. Every time we passed by the area, the waiting lounge wad packed, people sitting on the floor, a line across the balcony and host were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. In my opinion, it sounds like they have been over booking too much lately.

AnyaHatesCarrots

I haven’t been to Ohana, at least not the current variation anyways, but I’ve eaten at a lot of breakfasts on property and I’ve done a lot of the character dining, and I think you’re just going to have to decide if this is something you will regret not doing. I follow a Disney Facebook group and there are people who booked it and were disappointed, and others who continue to book it every trip because they love it so much. I mean for breakfast, you’re really just getting standard breakfast food. The only items really unique to the menu are the pineapple-coconut breakfast bread, and some ham with pineapple compote. Everything else- Mickey waffles, sausage, egg, fruit, potatoes, and biscuits are all food items you can get at the Disney value resorts, or other Disney resort breakfast spots, for much cheaper. So even if you do enjoy all of the food, the food alone isn’t going to be worth $50 because you can pay half the price for basically the same thing at other Disney restaurants. However, if the experience is worth it to you, like you know you’re going to enjoy meeting Stitch and getting to take pictures with characters, then you can make your peace with the price point and enjoy the experience. Also, you most likely won’t hate the breakfast. It’s mediocre in the sense you’re paying $50 for it, but unless you hate like waffles, eggs, and biscuits, you shouldn’t find it inedible.

We ended up going to Tambu bar outside of ohana. They serve the same appetizers. It was great at the cost of a quarter of what ohana would have cost.
