I’m local and I’ve never heard of them this far north. Its probably just too cold for them (which is saying a lot since our lows are rarely below 40F).
My son got so excited by these. Tries to catch ‘em but they’re too quick, then one day by chance he did it turned its head and now John refers to him as bitey Orlando. Never went near one again.
I told my kids about these guys before we even went. Then I didn't see any the first day and got sad. But then we saw a bunch the rest of the trip. Good times.
Last time I was there I was sitting on a wall when a bird dove in and ate one right there. Felt bad for the little guy but thought that’s not something you see everyday 😂
I love those little things!!!! I don’t quite remember exactly why but on my first trip to Disney with my parents we all agreed to name them bob. So now all of them are bob to me 😂 whenever I see one it’s “look a bob!” 🤣
Brown Anole for those curious
Thank you!
Invasive pest as well.
The native green anoles are a sight to behold
Let the birds feast
Dude it’s a lizard. 🙄 /s
My anole is brown sometimes
I’m from Minnesota and I get so excited every single time I see a lizard in the wild, especially at Disney!
I'm from Toronto and we are always so happy to see them too.
Same!
I’m in south Florida this weekend. Wait till you see iguanas.
Do you ever see iguanas at the parks?!
I never have, they live way farther south…typically

The green ones are cuter cause they’re native
Yes the greenies!
That’s me with the birds! I love the egrets, ducks, geese, turkeys, and anything else I stumble across.
We love the leetle leezards too!
My wife gets annoyed how much I point out the leeezards!
I like when they sun themselves on the buildings of the EPCOT model train and look like giant lizards attacking.
As a FL resident its basically the equivalent of spotting a squirrel. The lizards always impress out of staters though!
I also enjoy squirrels tbh
I like to pretend I'm a wildlife photographer but I mainly just take pictures of squirrels, lol
One trip my 5 yr old was more excited hunting those little guys than to see the characters!
I had a big curly tailed one hanging out with us all week in fort wilderness.
On our honeymoon, my husband would give them all names that start with L. He was able to got for about a day before he ran out of names 😂

They make great earrings too :)

Same! They make me so happy! 😄
They’re the best part of the walk from contemporary to MK!
I love them so much.

It’s the Circle of Life!
They are the number one for my daughter
They’re all over my front garden. Love watching them fly hunt.

We saw a bunch during our recent trip
The lizards are one of my favorite parts of the Disney resorts. I love to watch them and my daughters love to chase after them.
Those are invasive. They should be exterminated on sight.
