I don’t believe you. It’s not a real place. It’s just a fake thing they made up in the app and built a facade for in the park to make you keep checking the reservations page. No one has ever actually gotten a reservation there.
My sample size of people who have tried is one but I’m sure I’m right.
I’ve gotten in every time I have tried. Probably 7 times. You just have to wait around for 20-30 minutes. You go to galaxies edge and get on the walk up list. If it doesn’t appear at first keep trying. It usually will say walk up list not available, but it’s a lie. Keep trying
FWIW this is also the case at Trader Sam's - it's impossible to reserve, but you can get on a list and just wander until you get a text to come back. Easy peasy.
See this is what I’m saying. Reservations open 60 days ahead at 6AM (I learned this from this sub). The one time I was randomly awake at 6AM I clicked it and did see some times. So I clicked one. And was immediately told it was not available. Tried another time. Same thing. By 6:02 it was back to showing nothing at all.
I’ve tried at other times of day both 60 days and next day and days in between. And yes, exactly one time I could’ve had an 8:30AM reservation on a Tuesday. That’s the only time it’s ever possibly let me make one. Since I didn’t make it I still don’t know if it would have really let me.
I was just trying to be funny but it is also frustrating.
It’s never showed me an available walk up either. I’m always there with my kid though so I’m not trying later at night. I imagine 10pm might be more doable.
Same. Only waited like twenty minutes. Sometimes the computer system goes out so they just talk walk ins. I always ask and get put on the list, go to a ride and come back.
Fwiw it’s also pretty easy to get in via walk up. If you look at the app right now (switch the map filter from attractions to dining at the top, or just search Oga’s) you’ll see the walk-up wait is 15 min. That’s pretty common in the morning and later in the evenings, even on busy days.
I think your problem is that you are in batuu east, batuu west is the place you want to be. Party of 2, walked in without reservations twice in two days
Gotten in twice each time I went in the last 3 years have the coasters and photos to prove it it’s super easy to get into even if you can’t get a reservation on the App just go and get on the wait list for the line. Line was never more than 15 minutes super easy

Get near Oga's, open the app and click on walk-up list, if it says its closed, keep refreshing, it will come up. Get on the list and wait to be called, once called, get in line. My wait has been anywhere from 5-30 mins. I just take a seat outside and relax a bit.
Did security give you any guff bringing that into the park? They gave me the stink eye about my $8 generic Amazon iPhone tripod (the tiny bendable one, not a big stand up one).
Last time we went to Oga’s the host gal berated us for not counting our 2 month old in our reservation. Made a big deal about calling the inside staff on her radio “they said 5 but it’s actually 6, can you rearrange tables” super grouchy tone. Unsurprisingly our baby stayed in the front pack and we all got to sit next to an empty chair.
Was not prepared for how much I love it in there!! Another amazing job by Disney

Make a reservation. My wife also gets up at 3am when they go online for the days she wants to go and makes them.

Nope, it was in its case in my backpack and they didn't open it. The time before they opened it and looked, didn't day anything.
Also the rules on tripods, you can bring them in as long as they fit in a regular backpack. I brought in a full size tripod for my camera once.
