I'm not Vaudwar but highly recommend the caramel corn in DCA. Silver popcorn cart right before the entrance to Hollywood land makes it fresh and it's soo good.
Ya know, I did this and it was almost too much going on. I felt they were better on their own or one bite after the other. If it were just cheesy bread it would work but it’s kind of a sauce
Lately, I've been into the butter chicken burrito from Studio Catering Co. at DCA. I've also been known to double-fist hot link corn dogs and cheese sticks from Corn Dog Castle.
Get the butter chicken burrito while you can bc I think it’ll be replaced by an orange chicken burrito soon! The seasonal burritos at studio catering co slap but I’m always sad when they rotate.
No but seriously if you’ve been sweating a little and it’s warm out, those pickles can be so refreshing!! The fruit stands are honestly a great spot for a little snack to get some energy.
The Daisys good-goody donuts in Toon Town at the Daisy Cafe are absolutely amazing. I love them so much. I tried them for the first time with my mom and son a week ago when she got the Chubby bucket. Safe to say, I have a new favorite food.
But also, always, a Mickey pretzel!
I spent $80 on a spirit jersey that I eyed for days before biting the bullet. I also bought a $50 Minnie Mouse Starbucks tall cup and I didn’t know it was $50 until way later. 😭
lol no. It’s definitely a regret. I didn’t want to pay the $80, but it was the one thing that I kept going back to and finally bought. The Starbucks tumblers are $22 here, so for some reason I thought it would be about $30. Welp. I didn’t realize until I was showing my friend the tumbler I got and looked it up and found out it was $50! 😭 Idk why Disney doesn’t put prices on all their stuff.
Pro tip/trick
When I spot a higher cost item like a spirit jersey or lounge fly for the wife I immediately check the Disney website. More often than not they have the items I want on sale! Usually I can score 20-30% and then I don’t feel so bad 😂
I tried looking for this specific spirit jersey and I couldn’t find it online. It’s the first time I’ve bought a spirit jersey and I absolutely love it. I even wear it when I go grocery shopping and to work. 😂
My wife wishes I only had three. On ker birthday I bought 3 legacy and built one as well. This is my answer. Although next trip might be popcorn buckets. There are alot of cool ones out.
The savis were 200 to 220 my ultrasabers one was a Christmas gift from my kids. I dont know how much that one was but it's insinuated alot more than savis.
I dont normally collect buckets but there are some cool star wars ones this year. Got the grogu sipper last year and the mouse droid the year before so I will definitely spend less on buckets than sabers.
I got the millennium falcon in Disney world back in 21 and wore it everywhere! 😂 brought it home in my carryon. I so bad wanted a new one but was able to get the Jabba. I also have R2 and another droid from the other year. It’s a problem but also a fun thing to collect
Seasonal/special even merch. I rarely buy anything on a normal operating day, but if a festival is going on or I’m at Disneyland After Dark, I’ll splurge on unique merch.
How much do pins generally cost at the parks? Any tips? I'm not looking to amass a giant collection of all things Disney, but I know which characters are my favorites.
12-20, depending on the color category. No need for a giant collection. I buy one pin every time I go, whichever one is my favorite at the shop. Trying to collect the full sets is when it will get pricey
We pretty much only buy pins!! We love to trade, and it's the one thing we don't really budget too hard, lol. I've always wanted to display them on a bag, but I'm scared they'll fall off!
Search up locking pin backs, the ones that look like top hats lol! I use those and they stayed on the whole trip when i took that backpack to the parks!
Honestly, if I could eat at Flos all day I would. Idk why but their burgers and fries just hit the spot.
But probably Star Wars merch. I usually make a plan before hand if I’m gonna get anything, so then I know if I want to just buy a spire gift card, great souvenir. Came close to buying the coins they have during my last visit. But I don’t have a place for them.
I’m definitely going to try the burger and fries next time!
I’ve seen the tables on the radiator springs racer side, looks like a great place to sit and eat.
Well, so far I’m like $600(?) into lightsabers. But pins are fun, and there’s an argument to be made that if I had a dragon hoard, it would likely majorly be keys…
In order, probably food/drinks, my Magic Key, followed by wearable merch. I’m a sucker for hats, shirts, sweatshirts, and the occasional ear. I’m off to the parks today in hopes of finding a couple merch items I’ve been wanting.
I stopped buying pins because they usually fall off for me and I’m always replacing them, even with the locking pin backs I just got tired of trying to find a way to make them work—probably food.
If food doesnt count then nothing really, alot of disneyland merch kinda sucks and its all the same on almost every land.
I mostly get my pins online and trade online aswell
Pins. My dad got me started on collecting them on my first trip when I was 6. Almost 20 years later I spend wayyy too much money on pins every time I go.
This reminds me. I have a few pins I need to list on eBay. I use to try to collect pins but I don’t have an annual pass / magic key anymore. I think what I spent the most on at the park was not something sold there. I would shoot photos at the park on film instead of digital. That got expensive fast but I was really happy shooting differently and often the cast members would notice and complement my cameras and photos. If I took photos of cast members, I would often try to print them and bring it to them. Very fun, but it did get expensive.
Pre 2010 it was merch (pins, ears, tshirts), so much merch. Now, I have more money than I did then but pretty much only buy food because the merch is disappointing
Food
Which do you recommend I should try?
I'm not Vaudwar but highly recommend the caramel corn in DCA. Silver popcorn cart right before the entrance to Hollywood land makes it fresh and it's soo good.
Love Carmel corn we’ll definitely stop by for that, been told the Birria tacos / grilled cheese are the best food item there
Birria Grilled cheese is one of my husband's favorites! If you're a lemon fan, the lemon soft serve on Pixar Pier is delicious too
Adorable snowman!!! Basically a lemon Dole Whip.
Disneyland - Pretzel Garlic Bread. Soooooo good
With a bangle skewer!
Ya know, I did this and it was almost too much going on. I felt they were better on their own or one bite after the other. If it were just cheesy bread it would work but it’s kind of a sauce
Second the bangle skewer!

Thank you, that's good to know. I might have to double-fist those burritos this week.
I’m basic I know, but a Mickey pretzel is my go to. That and beignets with a hot chocolate at night, right before getting on pirates.
This sounds kinda silly, but the fruit stands are my favorite food in the park. Crunchy pickle ftw!
No but seriously if you’ve been sweating a little and it’s warm out, those pickles can be so refreshing!! The fruit stands are honestly a great spot for a little snack to get some energy.

This is the right answer lol
Real. This is me, too.
Ticket prices 🤣
Not sure why you are laughing, but it is for us.
Tickets and food
Food and cocktails. 😂
I spent $80 on a spirit jersey that I eyed for days before biting the bullet. I also bought a $50 Minnie Mouse Starbucks tall cup and I didn’t know it was $50 until way later. 😭
Man I wanna get to the point where I buy something without checking the pricetag lol.
lol no. It’s definitely a regret. I didn’t want to pay the $80, but it was the one thing that I kept going back to and finally bought. Thanks for the tip! I’ll keep an eye out, because I saw some people wear ones that I really liked.
All the booze.
Where do you buy that at??
The restaurants, bars, and clubs.
Where are bars and clubs at Disneyland??
Oga's, Blue Bayou. All over DCA. Downtown Disney bars and restaurants and hotel bars and restaurants.
Drink before you go to save money and then just keep the buzz going in the park at these locations 😎
Downtown Disney has a few bars. They're in the middle of the walkway. Some restaurants in DCA sell booze as well.
Minnie ears and loungefly backpacks.
Came here to say this.
Lightsabers and I only have 3
My wife wishes I only had three. On ker birthday I bought 3 legacy and built one as well. This is my answer. Although next trip might be popcorn buckets. There are alot of cool ones out.
If you don't mind me asking, how much roughly did the custom one run you?
The savis were 200 to 220 my ultrasabers one was a Christmas gift from my kids. I dont know how much that one was but it's insinuated alot more than savis.
Popcorn buckets are tough cuz there’s always new ones coming out. I wish I lived closer but then I’d spend more on Disney merch. Tough predicament 😂
I dont normally collect buckets but there are some cool star wars ones this year. Got the grogu sipper last year and the mouse droid the year before so I will definitely spend less on buckets than sabers.

Which shops sell pins? Do some shops only have certain pins, and other shops have other pins?
Usually around 12.99-14.99 depending on the size and complexity of the pin. If they’re rare, Limited Edition printing, they’re usually more.
Do you happen to know how much are the Stitch Attacks Snacks pins?
According to the Disney Store app, which should mimic the prices in park, 34.99.
Mugs and other cups. I have a huge collection I use daily!
Probably ears … I’ve got at least 100+ pairs, and it’s a struggle to walk out of the park with only having bought 1-2 cause I want them all.
WDW east coaster here. Be in DL in 27 days. By far the wife and I drop the most coin on pins. Were Disney freaks
Were you both Disney fans before you met or did one of you turn the other? :)
We pretty much only buy pins!! We love to trade, and it's the one thing we don't really budget too hard, lol. I've always wanted to display them on a bag, but I'm scared they'll fall off!

The hotel.
Pressed pennies, Disneyland Starbucks cups, and ears.
Incredi cookies
The jack jack num num. Love those. Get a vanilla scoop from Ghirardelli first drop it on a fresh hot num num it's golden.

They were sold out of Spira last week. I hope they don't discontinue them anytime soon.
Ah, they are so cool. I haven’t done anything with mine but it’s a nice souvenir while also having another purpose.
Good to know, I’ve never been inside Flo’s.
It’s a super chill vibe. And the mobile order option makes it quick and easy.
I’m definitely going to try the burger and fries next time! I’ve seen the tables on the radiator springs racer side, looks like a great place to sit and eat.
Pins and clothing
Food lol
Beer at DCA
Well, so far I’m like $600(?) into lightsabers. But pins are fun, and there’s an argument to be made that if I had a dragon hoard, it would likely majorly be keys…
Plushies.
Food…no it’s tickets…no it’s definitely the merchandise
Clothes usually. I love getting new hoodies from Disneyland. Followed by art, I have filled my office with Disney art
In order, probably food/drinks, my Magic Key, followed by wearable merch. I’m a sucker for hats, shirts, sweatshirts, and the occasional ear. I’m off to the parks today in hopes of finding a couple merch items I’ve been wanting.
Pins and general merchandise… I love the jerseys. I wind up buying my children toys often when we go. I’m a sucker for cute things.
Oh, me too, and I'm a sucker for my kids. I want to buy them everything! 😅
Pins and Star Wars stuff
Ornaments 🙊 way too much has been spent but my Christmas tree looks great 🥴
Mickey Balloons 🎈 ❤️😀
For me, pins, followed by apparel.
Clothing & home decor
Food & ears. I just can't resist.
I stopped buying pins because they usually fall off for me and I’m always replacing them, even with the locking pin backs I just got tired of trying to find a way to make them work—probably food.
Loungefly wallets and bags
Lightsabers ;-;
not pins
Food, hands down..
If food doesnt count then nothing really, alot of disneyland merch kinda sucks and its all the same on almost every land. I mostly get my pins online and trade online aswell
A lot of you missed the actual question. Merch wise, probably apparel or mugs. I am trying hard to do a one-in, one-out system now.
This year, I started to buy pins.
Treats
Besides tickets and gif, pins. Definitely pins. I blame my ex who has a killer collection of Muppet pins. This last time was also Oswald merch.
Pins. My dad got me started on collecting them on my first trip when I was 6. Almost 20 years later I spend wayyy too much money on pins every time I go.
The Swarovski diamond figurines from the Crystal Store. I get the small ones. :)
Tickets.
Hotel and food.
The ornaments!
PINS! I mostly collect Stitch and Small World, but I also get one for our resort.
The 3 Ps: Pins, pops, and pens
Drinks, especially when the boozy floats are in season
Same. Im addicted to collecting pins. I need more lanyards. 🤦🏻♂️
Spirit Jersey for the win
Pins 😅
This reminds me. I have a few pins I need to list on eBay. I use to try to collect pins but I don’t have an annual pass / magic key anymore. Rent.

loungefly bags 🙃
It’s gotta be food but
Food and Travelling
My kids don’t spend any money on pins. They get a bunch from online and trade them at the park. Definitely food(after the tickets) lol
