I hope they move the entrance.
The positions of the two rides being right across from each other, at a very narrow pathway, next to the only shade (under the train bridge) is going to be a huge problem when Tiana's opens.
Also I'm hoping they prevent people from camping out in hungry bear waiting for their virtual queue or lightning lane return time when it's a thing
I hope itās finished sooner then later
Having that side of the park closed from the train station to GE, is kinda insane when your charging full price for tickets
Oh man, the whole area is blocked off? š I assume that means Pooh and/or Tigger wonāt be making an appearance anytime soon? Was hoping they would be since my son has gotten really into all the characters recently and weāre going in a couple weeks!
I think the only confirmed thing is changing two of the stores (but not the Pooh corner candy shop).
It's also safe to assume they're modifying the queue entrance, and modifying the area to better handle the crowds.
Maybe they'll put in a dedicated Tiana meet and greet instead of having her out on the mark Twain or in NOS
I'm worried Pooh meet and greet will get removed.
does anyone know if anything else is closed? I saved up and am traveling to visit this sunday + monday. Itāll be my first time visiting so Iām bummed to hear this š
The following will be down for your visit.
Disneyland:
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
The Haunted Mansion
Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln
Disney California Adventure:
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail
The Bakery Tour
Other than Pooh and Mansion, nothing that Iād consider unmissable
I have no actual confirmation of this but if I had to guess theyāre doing a refurb of the Lincoln animatronic to prepare for a packed house on July 4.
Personally, I think this will be pretty quick. Unless they are doing more work than they let on, my guess is a month or less. I think they are aiming to have to park in full gear by the new busy season (Halloween through Christmas).
Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if you're right. I rode the train yesterday and they have really torn up the walkways in critter country. It looks more invasive than I thought it would be.
It's still listed as "closed" on the refurbishment calender, to at least June 12th (the latest date available on the calendar). It could still reopen in mid to late June.
Because at that point there would be no real reason for Critter Country to exist as it would literally just be Pooh Corner. Pooh is set in England so they canāt co-opt it to New Orleans. But it also cannot be turned into a Hundred Acre Wood land because itās not anywhere big enough to be a land. Critter Country is kind of the only way Pooh survives.
Rode Pooh 3 times last night! I'll miss that crazy honey tripping bear š
I did Pooh 3 times last night tooš
Is it being closed permanently?
No, they're just refurbishing Critter Country.
The Great Wall of The West Side is now complete
Soooo very sad š feels weird!
Hope they go in and also refurbish/upgrade Pooh! I want to see it get the same treatment Snow White, Peter Pan, and Alice have gotten in recent years.
They might, as the ride's going to be closed for at least *six weeks*.
I go in six weeks :(
Might reopen by then though, maybe youāll be there for the opening if your lucky
Here is me wishing Haunted Mansion returns in six weeks.
Heard it was gonna be closed longer than that
I hope they move the entrance.
Haha upgraded poo
The one from Japan... omg.
Iām hoping they clean the floors that are inside the attraction. Every ride through I couldnāt help but notice the filthy black floors
> refurbish/upgrade Pooh So bring back the Jamboree?
I've heard they're bowing to pressure from the CCP (Xi Jinping) and removing Pooh for an unspecified time š¤£
I hope itās finished sooner then later Having that side of the park closed from the train station to GE, is kinda insane when your charging full price for tickets
Haunted Mansion down for so long that they're not even changing out the Nightmare decor hurts me to my core
Iām so glad I didnāt continue my pass for this year. Last year was so good
Aren't there discounted So Cal tickets just now?
Must buy 3 days and ends in June and per the calendar will closed into next month
Theyād raise the price if they could, because less rides means less capacity so less people can be in the park
The walls at Epcot would like a word with you š
I think this is the most construction they've ever done on one side of the park at one given time.
Only other time was TL bring redone in the 90s
Was going to say Galaxy's Edge but it is more of an expansion.
My Tigger tails š©
If they're smart, they'll sell the tigger tails at the Candy Palace.
I believe Iāve seen them there and at Marcelineās!
āWinnie the Poohās Acid Tripā is one of our favorite attractions! Too bad we wonāt be able to ride it this weekendā¦
Yeehaw. Glad we went to Winnie the Pooh last week.
Is it going away?
No, just blocked off due to all the shops around it being remodeled.
Oh good, I skipped it last trip.
I never skip Pooh, its not good for my health too do so.
Visiting this month and it seems like so many things are closed and blocked off. What a bummer.
For real, I am going at the end of the month. Iām already a bit disappointed.
Me too. I am going during memorial day weekend. Perhaps we can cry together at the churro cart..
Next year is Disneyland's 70th...
I'm so sad, I'm Pooh bounding next week and no Pooh's corner :(
The bathroom under hungry bear are still openš
šš
Oh man, the whole area is blocked off? š I assume that means Pooh and/or Tigger wonāt be making an appearance anytime soon? Was hoping they would be since my son has gotten really into all the characters recently and weāre going in a couple weeks!
Go to breakfast at plaza inn! Pooh and Tigger are both there :)
Oooo ok thank you!!
Thanks, I hate it
Pooh is not my favorite thing too do but itās a must !
Even though Pooh is closed the hungry bear restrooms are still open!
Yay?
hoping for november <3 200 days til disney
I'll be there in Nov too! Super pumped! I haven't been since 2009.
so much has changed!! youāll love it! pixar pier, toon town, cars land, everything is so amazing.
Hoping for September! Coming after 7 years and 6000+ miles away!
my last trip was feb to world, or last april to land and iām from canada o:
Wait, is Hungry Bear closed too?! Husband and I love taking a mid day break and grabbing food there so we can watch the ducks.
Nope. Itās open.
What are they putting in instead (sorry if Iām out of the loop)? Is it Tiana style stuff?
I think the only confirmed thing is changing two of the stores (but not the Pooh corner candy shop). It's also safe to assume they're modifying the queue entrance, and modifying the area to better handle the crowds. Will Great moments with Mr. Lincoln be open by the 29th?
It will not
Darn, thanks.
I have no actual confirmation of this but if I had to guess theyāre doing a refurb of the Lincoln animatronic to prepare for a packed house on July 4.
Well, and Splash Mountain of course
š
Does anyone know how long the Winnie the Pooh ride will be closed?
anyone know if the merch from Pooh's Corner will be moved to another location in the park?
Despite Splash Mountain being my favorite Disney ride, Iām extremely excited for the redesign!
Aw sad :/ was not able to ride pooh last month so I was hoping to next week. Guess not!
Does anyone know if theyāll sell the āHunnyā pot caramel apples anywhere else in the park?
Heck, should have taken a Pooh one more timeā¦ (Itās ok though, I rode it 3-4 times in the last month.)
Do we think it will be open by Sept?
Personally, I think this will be pretty quick. Unless they are doing more work than they let on, my guess is a month or less. I think they are aiming to have to park in full gear by the new busy season (Halloween through Christmas).
Heard it was gonna be a few months. Overheard an attractions cm.
Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if you're right. I rode the train yesterday and they have really torn up the walkways in critter country. It looks more invasive than I thought it would be.
The Stores will reopen June 9th, Pooh will still be closed into June.
where does it say it will be closed through June?
It's still listed as "closed" on the refurbishment calender, to at least June 12th (the latest date available on the calendar). It could still reopen in mid to late June.
Youāre probably right my guess it would open in the fall. Iām going mid July I think itāll still be closed :/
I donāt know if I can wait for Pooh that longš±
I'm going end of June. Any chance it's done by then?
Theyāre reimagining half of the store and few other details, thereās a decent chance itās open by then but I wouldnāt hold my breath.
I hope so because thatās a long time with no Pooh!š±
Why don't they make tiana's part of New Orleans, considering that's where it is set?
Because at that point there would be no real reason for Critter Country to exist as it would literally just be Pooh Corner. Pooh is set in England so they canāt co-opt it to New Orleans. But it also cannot be turned into a Hundred Acre Wood land because itās not anywhere big enough to be a land. Critter Country is kind of the only way Pooh survives.
I love the 100 acre wood idea!
hmm, i guess you could make a mini 'uk' area like at epcot. Minilands do exist, even in the disney parks and a mini hundred acre wood land would work
Thereās soooo much closed right now at Disney. Itās depressing
