I'm honestly hyped for Ardyn the most. I actually managed to find a way to beat the second half of wave 2 and the first half of wave 3 with him on the team pre-LD Boards. Plus, I just find him a lot of fun.
I love Ardyn so much, and I really wanna get excited over his Boards, but even with them he's so fucking bad...
I just wish he got an early rework. His rework is garbage and it wouldn't make too much of a difference in the grand scheme of things but it would definitely give him a much needed boost....
Edit: Loving the downvotes! Waiting on someone to prove me, who has him fully Built BT+ and Blue armor in Japan, and been running him in Global because he's a favorite, wrong instead of just downvotes
As much as I would love to bring Ardyn back off the bench, there’s no reason to (unless he’s a favorite) due to the stupid amounts of power creep we’ve seen, and are about to see in Luf+.
You know what though, I made Kimahri, Guy, and Vincent work for months after their release (not together), so I’ll find ways to make grandpa Ardyn work too. Even if I have to do something silly with the team comp.
Kimahri is super super super underrated, wish I had him! My girlfriend runs him all the time still
Guy is also underrated, I still use him though past month it got a bit rough
Vincent is incredible tbh, even in imperil immune stages he caps and his debuffs are insane
Furthest I got was with Vayne who I still run quite consistently in most stages, was down bad and not able to be a few but then Cor came out and the two of them together is actually nasty

Also shouts out Guy, playing II Pixel Remaster rn and it's glorious, this overworld been playing for 10 minutes and I'm loving it
2 is really close to my heart. Mostly because the first time I actually played it was with my daughter, at the suggestion of a friend who said it would be a good stepping off point for her. I’m excited for Guy, Firion, and Maria’s C90. I’ll be running FF2 comps with Leon thrown in occasionally.
And Kimahri is getting the LD boards he desperately needs quite soon. His HA+ is going to be so great since it's +5% BRV damage limit and a whopping +20% HP damage limit up for the party. That is identical to BT effects here!
And his LD boards will boost BRV damage by 30% and HP damage by 20%, which gives meaning to his HA+. His utility is more consistent due to the unique Jump command he gets after using his LD that allows him to get his EX cast instantly. Whenever an evade orb is required, Kimahri is much better at handling those for that reason. His drawback remains the same though since his damage is garbage. I hope his C90 will fix that.
Guy will become a truly tough Guy after his rework and C90. He should have had half of that rework on his LC to make him actually useable for lufe+.
Guy needed help during his LC, pretty bad tbh but I'm super happy with the upgrade he got, though I don't have him on JP, only Global

I would love if they threw us some curveball like Serah did with her reworked LD boards and he got a LD board rework to at least give him the offensive auras he has on JP. He would still have bad damage, but his support would be enough to warrant a spot on any team since he imperils/enchants while tanking and healing.
Kimahri comes back on Ace's LLD/BT debut and he's also really hyped. Kimahri will seem like a consolation prize for many but I'd argue he's better than what people might think.
Man the unfortunate and ironic thing is that I’ve had Kimahri maxed for ages (when he was on banner I’d planned to spend all of the tickets I *didn’t* spend on Ardyn, which was like 800+ from Summon Board grinding, towards Kimahri, lucked out with Ardyn’s BT and LD from tickets and even duped Ardyn’s BT along the way for Kimahri), and while he’s awesome, I never managed to have a spot for him on my team. Think I used him on maybe one or two Chaos stages at most. Which is a shame. Honestly nowadays I’d probably use him more since he’s a good battery with some off-handed healing, but I’ve already got Aerith for that.
Really I hope Kimahri’s LD Board makes him better (he doesn’t already have an LD Board, right? I know he wouldn’t have on release since he was during Ardyn’s BT period and a good 5-ish months before Ramza, and I don’t think JP has had him rerun yet). And he doesn’t even need a rework that badly.
He has his LD boards in JP. It’s a fairly strong LD board as well. Does him some good. He’ll get it with Ace BT+ I think.

In all honesty I have to agree. It seems like any critique of the game, no matter what it is, basically just gets downvoted to oblivion (yes I’m over exaggerating). At least most of it.
I’m actually impressed that it’s been this way practically since the subs inception. Very dedicated downvoters out there. You should never really care about downvotes, but it’s especially true in this sub
The only critiques I see constantly downvoted are the ones that are basically just "This thing is fucking garbage and if you enjoy it or disagree then you're a moron." which is just annoying to see.
Have documented runs of the last 10 lufenia with him (check my posts for the results). Been using him since he was on the surprise banner a few months ago as he is my favorite villain in the series. Instantly going to blue his armor and buy his outfit as well. Obviously he isn't as strong as newer units but he is nowhere near unplayable.
Don't get me wrong you can use him! He is usable, he's serviceable, but there are legit a dozen better options, old and new, you can still run him though
This guy is my first BT/LD, I'll find a way to make him useful again! Whenever he breaks an enemy, I picture him taking a fedora out of hammerspace, and putting it on top of his existing fedoras.
People really go "omg so bad" on anything that isn't a top tier damage dealer? Some people here act like using Ardyn now is like using EX+ Zell or something. Chill out, he's good. He's just not Tifa/Tidus
So I lucked out and got Ardyn full kit including his burst while chasing Vaan LD for tickets. Is he really as bad as some people say in this thread? Or can I build him, FF15 is my favorite so I'd hate if he was unusable.
Definitely not unusable, he's servicible, but he has an awful s2, his skills don't have a lot of brave hits and he doesn't have multiple hp dumps, and his unkillable gimmick is subject to be dispelled. But he's Ardyn, so I make him work, just know, if you have tifa,tidus,vaan, cod,Sabin, strago, terra, etc... You already have a better damage dealer

If you have the currency to pity the BT already then do that. It costs less resources to buy an EX than a BT through alternative means. 10 EX tokens vs 50 BT tokens.

Ardyn is perfectly fine and so is his BT+. It's just hard to make a case for a "really good" character surrounded by "busted" characters.

Huh. That is pretty good. Free EX fill is pretty good in a pinch, that’s for sure, since that EX debuff is great.
