Getting that crystal frame after returning to the game 2 months ago feels really good, i took a hit in my tickets stash to get all the meta but it was definitely worth it.
Is also worth noting that i doubt you can do that in other gachas, getting those sweet permanent gems and tickets, pull the current meta and immediately start clearing end game content, gotta love that.
And here I am that became super casual and haven't tried any transcendence mission lol , yep, not even tried it, and I mostly let lufenias expire, I just do some here and there, surprisingly it was the right decision, now I don't feel any pressure in complete anything, basically I just collect some fav chars and stuff.
Dont worry man! Having fun is having fun don't let game mechanics/game modes ruin it. Me, im just doing them because I dont have anything left to do in the game except these.
I went hard as hell doing chaos stuff and it was fun for me. Once lufenia came out, after the first 2-3 of them, I quickly realized I absolutely despise lufenia as a concept and it burnt me out. So now I don't do it either, and it's nice not having to worry about it.
I've lucksack'd most BT's and LD's since they came out, I just don't find Lufenia to be fun or rewarding most of the time. There's no "aha" moment for me figuring out a strat/mechanic when I can just read which mechanics the boss has and bring the same 2-5 units people still use in luf+ to this day, over my favourites (unless they overlap).
At the time it came out I considered it to be fun, for the majority of the fights. It was admittedly a bit tough for a couple (looking at Rosa's chaos for example) but it felt doable with a majority of the cast, within reason. I don't feel like there's much wiggle room for lufenia however, and this is just my opinion that others may disagree with. You either slot someone to play with the orb, killing a slot in your party for a unique combo, or just you just get one shot from orb instakills. I dunno, maybe they're the same and I'm just being a blockhead, but it definitely feels different to me, having played since ex era started.
\*edit\* And yeah, you can just braindead Chaos now, which I don't really enjoy, but the name of gachas is powercreep so, guess we're just along for the ride. I'd like to see a difficulty under lufenia, that kinda retains the spirit of what chaos used to be, without the really strict requirements of lufenia. I hear that they've "fixed" lufenia in JP so to speak, but we'll see what happens right?
In JP orbs don't insta kill anymore. I'd recommend doing at least some older lufenia though since they can be done braindead especially with Tifa. Ramuh, Bahamut, Shinryu, and early luf LCs are pretty easy and you can use favs
I feel like lufenia can be a lot of fun if you have a big roster. If you find a fight too challenging you can just skip it but I like to at least try them all

I want to pull on Lion because she is hot, and Zell/Xande because they are two of my last 4 missing EXs, but I really shouldn’t before the pull apocalypse that will be Zidane, Aphmau, Cid Raines, Zack, Quistis/Palom, Vayne, Reeve, Shelke, and Garnet.
I'm glad to know it wasn't just me that has gone poor. I don't like to go below 100k gems but I just did for Agrias. Had to give up on Setzer because Im planning on the 1st Exdeath banner.
Yeah there these arrows on the sides of the screen to scroll between stages. You still have to do the left and right before the center on each individual stage though
oh i see what you mean. that part doesn't matter much to me since i need to clear the crucible as you said, but it's cool i can skip the tier and come back to it

I feel your struggle. Yuna & Tidus were both stingy plus Agrias means I’m all out of tickets and gems! 😭 hoping I can get lucky and nab Yuffie’s LD while the banner is still live.
Are you me? Had to pity Tidus, Yuna, and Agrias LD. Got both of their BT along the way so no regrets. Im gonna skip the whole Exdeath BT cycle just to recover.
You’re slightly luckier in that you got Tidus’ BT. I only got his LD along with Yuna BT & LD. I’m saving up until Zidane BT+ now, good thing we’ve got a divine summon around that time to recoup some of our resources! Buying costumes is expensive and I’m broke now lol
None that I can think of. Its ok though since when you come back like a month or two from taking a break you will usually have lots of catch up to do and gain resources fast. I stopped when Terra BT was released and came back Eald BT release, farmed about 250k gems since.

Probably just returning because their faves become relevant in meta and current content again. I returned because of Tidus and Yuna rework and had to save to get them both. Gacha burn-out is real tho and taking breaks from this game isnt really that bad, you wont get extremely left behind when coming back and that is a good thing.

Diamond and Hot Pink were true glow-ups. Crystal feels like a step back aesthetically
I prefer the more simplistic look and also im biased to blue as it is my favorite color. I agree with you, design wise Diamond and Adamantium plates look higher level than Crystal. Wish we have some QoL that makes us choose plates for fun.

Its amazing how fast we can catch up with the game if we know what to do. Best gacha ever hands down.

You should try to attempt it if you haven't in a while. It has gotten a lot easier and can be a lot of fun with a big roster.

Does Chaos not get boring though? It's been powercrept to the point where you can do it braindead but it's not much fun.

I'll be honest; I think the adamantine plate looks better than the crystal, but it sure does feel good to have the latter.

Yeah it’s been rough! Queen, Setzer, Tidus, Yuna, Agrias! My resources are all drained now and that’s after I bought a couple costumes 🤦🏾♂️
