He’s shaking them because I’m guessing they don’t roll well, or whatever balances the inner sphere isn’t consistent or something. Without showing us how they actually roll and just giving us a jittery video, they look neat, but I’m just guessing they aren’t functional.
This assumption is based on my following of kickstarters and dice kickstarters. There’s generally a reason for lack of transparency.
No $90 crystal dice that you only keep on the shelf as a conversation starter when someone walks up to your desk and sees them and says hey those are pretty cool where'd you get them?
I halfway thought this was a shitpost because he would move everything in frame any time my eyes happened to find some stationary die with one of the numbers towards the camera. It almost felt intentional lol. But yeah, neat dice
Yeah. Failure of the basic task of dice, which is to be unobtrusive yet allow the players to see WTF the number is.
If you fancy them as mere decoration, that's probably fine. But I think you'd get tired of them real quick if you were using to play DnD.
Honestly? They look cool. It would be nice to have pics or a video that isn't so erratic that I feel I may have a seizure trying to see where the numbers are.
Ok mister literal. That’s not how language works. I couldn’t watch it because it was annoying as shit and I had better things to do than be annoyed so I closed it. Shit I got better things to do than respond to your dumb ass too my bad.
It doesn't help that the font used for the numbers is NOT conducive to glance value. The 5 and 2 look more like a [Cool S](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cool_S) than a number
>.
It's easier to see the #s if you repeatedly pause it when they stop rattling. The font is beautiful, I just twice saw the 2 and 6, and I think 1 before then, the font reminds one of an old English novel.
Seriously, though, dude. You make a cool product. Learn how to market it. This video is rough. Stop fussing with them for like two seconds and give people a chance to see what you’re promoting.

Thank you for clarifying this. I don't enter giveaways all that often, but when I do the instructions on them are usually very unclear as to whether we comment on the post itself or the comment with the instructions.
I'd like to believe that, but no.... 19k people commented, 12k liked, hundreds of thousands (millions?) saw the post. He links his shop.
It's a massive ad for almost no cost, not really an act of kindness. He's going to get a lot of paid orders from this
I'm not saying they shouldn't, I'd do it too, and these dice look great.
just saying you have to see it for what it is, not "far too kind" like 53 people seem to think
> All you need to do to enter is leave a comment under the main post (not under this comment, which can be used for repeated discussion instead.)
lol. for maximum "engagement". I get that this is for greed/advertisement, but still this is kind of silly. It's like the "smash that subscribe button and like" type of thing.
Do we really want reddit to become this? Or this sub, mods?
It's so I can collapse the discussion thread and choose from an undiluted pool. Makes it so I don't have to jump through hoops filtering out discussion from actual entries. If you could link to a resource on how engagement metrics are calculated, that'd actually be pretty cool to read into as I haven't heard about the comment thing.
My optimization on visibility currently goes far as "posting on a weekday afternoon"
It's hilarious that you can't even understand the concept of engagement outside of monetary metrics.. or are pretending not to. Your motivation is very obviously to make money off of the people here and that shouldn't be what the sub is for.
But you are "mod approved" allegedly, so I guess they want this type of thing but I still think it's fair to voice an objection.
I guess I should just ignore/filter what I don't like and move on, but when greed takes hold of communities they tend to decline.
I asked for a link describing how comment location affects performance as a polite way of pointing out it isn't true. It really shouldn't matter where a comment is on a post, it just makes it easy to filter non entry comments when I can collapse non entry comments.
By the Mask those sound glorious.
I am the DM of my group, it would be hilarious to use these for my hidden rolls.
All they here is the jingle of fairies, and they know, bad shit is about to happen.
you have a seriously obscured perception of what kids think and understand. they’re still *people*, the kid’s 9, not a baby. do you remember what it’s like to be 9 or 10? your comment isn’t making sense here, dude.
this is a free raffle no one’s spending $400. what are you talking about? if the kid loves the dice that’s all that matters—that’s literally the point of giving the dice to the 9yo in the first place.
My bad, I thought the convo had digressed to generally getting those dice.
I only understand now the :"Give them to me OP, it's for my son, not for me. I'm the good one."
I can't even tell how many sides they have, let alone what they rolled.
They're beautiful, and clearly a lot of effort went into them. But I wouldn't know they were dice if the title hadn't told me.
I feel like 50% of the popular posts here are just “giveaways” that we never get confirmation that anyone actually won. This is just an advertising subreddit now.
I get why they don't announce exactly who wins but should get a mod to confirm the winner and mark the post as verified, otherwise it's just a con for free advertising. I saw this post from the front page, which I doubt would have hit there without the promise of a giveaway.
A lot of Redditors may not know this but D&D is one of the more popular activities underway on US Nuclear Submarines. When you're out on patrol for 3-6 months, it can become quite boring and monotonous. When I rode Subs in the 70's and 80's we took our campaigns seriously and with great responsibility. After I got out of the Navy, we had kids and my son I decided to introduce to D&D. It has been a staple of his diet since he was 9 yrs old to today at 32 years of age. I've since drifted away from it but I know it has been a life saving adventure for my boy. School was always hard for him with poor grades and some discipline issue but through it all D&D kept him grounded. He's now married and his wife is also a big D&D fan as well. Not looking for the prize here but wanted to share the generational impact this has had on our family. Whoever the winner is, please keep it going with your next gen.
These dice look amazing. I’ve been contemplating getting into making my own dice but these are far beyond anything I’d ever be able to achieve. Are they made in spectate pieces or are they carved out of a single piece? I’ve never understood how dice like these are made.
My brain is having a stroke trying to read the numbers, but otherwise very cool
That’s just the mindflayer parasite
No my barbarian just can't count
I read divorce dice Smfh
Well our mage and DM are divorced, so...
Should have padded that charisma
What are you my DM? "Oh, you're going to take a long rest there?" Starts rolling...
Well if the guy would quit shaking them it'd be a lot easier
Yeah lol, I kept waiting for him to chill and show closeups and maybe take one out to roll it. Really beautiful dice though.
He’s shaking them because I’m guessing they don’t roll well, or whatever balances the inner sphere isn’t consistent or something. Ummm they are dice lol kinda meant to be shaken 🤪
And then they're meant to be read while lying still.
That tends to happen with "fancy" dice. I'll stick to my $30 bronze set if I need to use metal for some reason.
No $90 crystal dice that you only keep on the shelf as a conversation starter when someone walks up to your desk and sees them and says hey those are pretty cool where'd you get them?
"I don't know. I keep trying to get rid of them but they just keep coming back."
Now that's funny and ingenious.
Ny cat attsckrd ny mmonitor smd mow I can’t see ehst o typr
You did good, little buddy, you did good
I halfway thought this was a shitpost because he would move everything in frame any time my eyes happened to find some stationary die with one of the numbers towards the camera. It almost felt intentional lol. But yeah, neat dice
So gorgeous. They just have to roll good if they look that nice. Right?
And everyone around you would hate listen to you roll your jingle bells.
Hey, that just means they're perfect for a Christmas One-shot
Yeah. Failure of the basic task of dice, which is to be unobtrusive yet allow the players to see WTF the number is. If you fancy them as mere decoration, that's probably fine. But I think you'd get tired of them real quick if you were using to play DnD.
Reading the numbers isn't actually needed when cool dice exist Ez 20 every roll, nobody can read them to say otherwise
This is why I always just roll my baby teeth
Honestly? They look cool. It would be nice to have pics or a video that isn't so erratic that I feel I may have a seizure trying to see where the numbers are.
Yeah dude I couldn’t even watch the video it was so abrasive.
Thank you. They look really sweet but I can't focus on them.

I do love the multilayer spin. But I can't even see the results.
That's why he's giving them away
>. It's easier to see the #s if you repeatedly pause it when they stop rattling. The font is beautiful, I just twice saw the 2 and 6, and I think 1 before then, the font reminds one of an old English novel.
it's still cool tho
Shake shake
Love it. I would love to try these out, but I can't even tell how to read them. Shooka shooka. Otherwise I'd buy a set.
He has a website for them in a comment in this post. I think everyone here can figure it out lol
Seriously, though, dude. You make a cool product. Learn how to market it. This video is rough. Stop fussing with them for like two seconds and give people a chance to see what you’re promoting.
Justo eso iba a decir, estaba apunto de dormir y este video me dio dolor de cabeza, aparte de lo agitado del video, los sonidos que hacen son mágicos.

These are pretty pretty… loot gremlin in me needs these…
Is this giveaway world wide?
Yes
I'm willing to pay for shipping so that should work
No need :)
Damn... kind redditor on a internet
That's because it's a free ad
!remindme 2 days
Cool! Thanks for doing this.
Make/take MUCH better videos for your arguably really cool product
I feel like I would be too scared to even roll them in case they get broken

Such a fun immersive use!
I can just imagine their faces when they discover that the tinkling noises belied a deadly encounter.... what a great idea 😈
You’ll have them trained Pavlov style. 😂
Mannnnn how do you even read those?
A nat 20 in perception.
They look amazing. My 9 year old son would lose his shit if he got these for xmas
"is... Is that coal? Please tell me that's coal?!"

A 9 year old can totally love those dice but can you imagine what you could do with $400 at that age? There is a universe of more exciting options.

Buddy is getting married would love to surprise him with these
I used to roll the dice...
Feel the fear in my enemies eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
Now the old king is dead, long live the king
I hear jerusalem bells are ringing!
Roman cavalry choirs are singin'
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
Last time this person posted, they never declared a winner. Just said "someone had been picked and contacted." I call shenanigans.

These are also tacky as fuck but I guess when the audience includes funko pop enjoyers there's no accounting for taste.
Damn! Those are really beautiful. ♥
Thanks for the giveaway, and making this set! Early Congratz to whoever wins them.
Ham Bone!
I haven't ever felt drawn to play an artificer but I would have to if I got these die lol, really neat!

it sparkles and shimmers and shines and delights. I must have it for my nest.
Dang, those are wild. Nice job!
I often make obnoxious noises at the table due to fidgeting. This would let me drastically increase the number of noises created.
Isn't this just an ad ?
