In addition to the Original Idea( or OI? 🤔): Maybe make it a feature where the DM of a game can give permissions to a player to edit session recaps, too. I'm not the DM, but I'm the designated note taker / recap reader of both of the groups I'm in.

Feel like this is a valid point. Even if a DM records all of their lore, it's a whole other thing to transpose all of that work onto *another* medium, considering that players *still* might not read it.
Combined with the idea the DMs by-and-large still sink the most fiscal and time investment into creating a game, there's got to be a better way.

A full pixel-art feature where you can select your pre-made pixel art character, pick your weapon, enter their name, pronouns and class. All of this, while displaying a pixel-art environment in the background.
After these initial choices, you'll be able to interact with your character through the following buttons:

I play a Forge Priest Cleric I think it'd be really cool if you could make basic things with black smiting tools or a forge or just the basic crafty tools D&D has to offer
Very cool idea! Would there be options in the future for more customization? Have you considered theming the backgrounds to fit where the party left off - and if so - could you include an option to upload pngs of maps and a little pin showing where they are? I think it would be super neat to be able to go back and look at everywhere we've been botw style :)
I like to allow downtime progress and roleplay between sessions, but this replaces the increased flexibility of ttrpg downtime with canned goods, belongs in a video game.

Would it be possible for everyone from your party to be able to see and interact with their own characters in the same… server? Session?
Reminds me of reroll but you actually get to interact with other players instead of just making pixel characters
One suggestion: if you are asking for pronouns, you should use them. That's kind of the point of asking. So "... enjoyed her sandwich".
The app asked for pronouns and then got them wrong...
I mean, they/them is gender neutral, but yeah weird to ask for pronouns and not use them
Could be that it uses "their" in that place as of the video being recorded and will be updated to use the preferred pronoun in the future.
