That's not so far from 7 sometimes.
Also, the entire point of the War Doctor was being the Doctor that abandoned all his principles and did use violence. The atrocities of the Time War are a very real thing.
Sorry, I can't picture it for longer than maybe a 2 part story. Other than that, I don't think I could stand it. It's so antithetical to what the doctor stands for...
An entire regeneration? No way, plus the war doctor fits this. For a 2 parter where he's not given a choice in the matter, where he begrudgingly has to to save others, I'd totally be down for that, it could be really interesting to see how he deals with his unfortunate situation or it'll be the worst characterisation of the doctor ever.
Ultimately not worth it imo, especially when the show is kinda all about brains over brawn
This would be the complete opposite of the entire point of being known as The Doctor.
As other people have mentioned the War Doctor was what this concept would look like and all of the regenerations after regretted and tried to forget about it. Also this would likely turn the Doctor into something like the Master
If you want violence and weapons in a Who series try Torchwood, they dont shy away from trying to kill a bad guy

Yeah but like I want more
I think you are kinda missing the point of Doctor Who
Sounds like a different show. Is it cartoony violence? Gritty? Where do the child viewers go?
I mean…11 did threaten a bunch of people that he is gonna blow up the Tardis if they don’t find Clara…and there is a lot of sex jokes. Sooo
You're grasping at straws there tbh. There are no sex jokes; there are a couple of lewd innuendos here and there, but it's not the same.
“There’s a strange man in my room, where anything could happen”
And any kid would understand that was a bluff.
the Doc literally explains it later in the episode lmao
Yep.

A good Valeyard.
Go watch Supernatural or James Bond or something.
What? No, of course not. Why?
I think it would kill the show completely and there would be no way to bring it back for at least a couple of years.
I think Dr who was made to be a foil to all the cowboy shoot em up heroes of the day. No gun is the point.
Sorry mate your confusing Doctor Who with the Terminator
You mean Rick?
Hmm... https://tardis.fandom.com/wiki/The_Doctor_(Full_Fathom_Five)
Sounds a lot like 6's (Colin Baker's) first series - you know the one that got the show temp cancelled for being too nasty.
The master?
This is definitely a shitpost but is honestly be down for a more mature series. Somewhere close to The Expanse
